Fujifilm X-T4 vs X-T3 vs X-T30 - What's the BEST Camera for Landscape Photography? An in-depth review to learn what are the main differences between these three wonderful Fuji cameras. Let me know what's your favorite one in the comment below!
What an excellent review! I wish more reviews would be like this - thank you!
Hey Lemon, thanks so much for you feedback. I'm really glad you enjoyed the video comparison :) Ciao
This is an incredibly in depth review! Best one I’ve seen yet!
Thanks so much, Rayce! I'm really glad you enjoyed the review :) Ciao
This is great! Appreciate your style, and to the point message. Exactly what I was looking for comparing these cameras!
Awesome! Glad it was helpful. Thank you :) Ciao
I am using the xt4 since a month ago and I am in love with the fujifilm colours. But it has a lot of different customised menu’s. Thank you very much for share your knowledges with us. Cheers from Spain!
Thanks so much for your comment, Miguel! I'm really glad you enjoyed the video. Fujifilm's menu is probably the best menu for cameras, in my opinion. I'm quite confident that you'll like it as much as you love the Fuji colors :) Ciao
Great video! Thank you for making it so easy to understand.
You're very welcome, Sarah! Glad you found the video useful and thanks so much for the comment :) Ciao
This is the best review ever for the three cameras , thx Andrea
You're very welcome, Ahmed. Glad you enjoyed the video, I really appreciated that. :) Ciao
Hello Andrea, Thank You for the great presentation. I am happy with the X-T3 and decided against buying the X-T4 though I sold the X-T2. Instead, I'll wait for future Fujifilm announcement. In the meantime, I have been borrowing my son's X-H1 as a second camera, happy with the result. The landscape shots on your video are very beautiful. I am so looking forward to do a workshop in the Dolomites with you and Andy in 2022 since we won't be allowed to leave Australia in 2021! Wish you a great Christmas. Cheers Odile
Hi Odile, it's good to hear from you! I hope you and Philip are doing well. Awesome combo the X-T3 and the X-H1, I couldn't agree more, both are wonderful cameras. Yep, the period is strange and surreal. I'm really looking forward to have you & Philip with us in the Dolomites, I can't wait to let you taste the wonderful Italian food :) ...and of course, take you photograph our amazing mountains! I wish you and Philip a joyful, serene and white Christmas. Happy Holidays! Ciao :)
Amazing, I am grateful for this video. Thanks!
Thanks so much, Garret! Glad you found the video useful :) Ciao
Still one of the best review videos. Thank you!
Thanks so much 😃 Glad you enjoyed it!
very good review... more ppl should see this video.
Thanks so much for the comment and I'm really glad you enjoyed the video :) Ciao
A lways excellent videos. Thanks!
Thanks so much, Eddie! 😃 Ciao
33 minutes with a cup of tea excellently spent. That was a great video Andrea! Really comprehensive and informative. I’m a student picking up my first Apsc camera, I want to be doing a good amount of landscape photography and also street shooting. I’ll be travelling each weekend though so size and weight come into play. I think a xt30, but a xT3 tempts me too. Haha Thanks!
Hi, thanks so much for the comment, I’m really glad you found the video useful. If you have the budget, I would recommend to get the X-T3. Don’t get me wrong, the X-T30 is a lovely tiny little camera, but the X-T3 gives you an incredible amount of extra features with a small price increase. You can easily find some great second hand deals. Good luck with your photography 😃 Ciao
@@AndreaLivieriPhoto Great! Thanks for the advice. I'm hunting on ebay for a good second-hand deal. Amazing photos you're taking and thanks for the advice, and the channel, I'm subscribed :)
@@MrPancakeRepairman Thanks so much for subscribing, it means a lot. Very much appreciated! Enjoy your future X-T camera 😄 Ciao
For sure I'm going Fuji when my pocket allows it... for now, I'll use it as motivation to get better at photography with what I have. Amazing photos by the way!
Hi Pedro, that sounds good :) Thanks so much for your comment, and glad you enjoyed my work. Ciao
Thanks Andrea. Brilliant video. I’ve been agonising whether to buy the x-t30ii or the x-t4. I mostly take street photography, architecture, some portraits, but I go on safari every two years and love shooting wildlife. Cheaper camera means I could afford better lenses. But the x-t4 with ibis and weather sealing seems a good option. Thanks again.
Thanks so much for the comment, and glad you found the video useful. I love the X-T4, and it covers almost every situation. Of course, if you’re short of budget you have less margin for the lenses, but that camera is a workhorse that never let you alone. Ciao :)
I have an xt30 with the 18-55mm. It’s my first Fuji camera and I absolutely love it. I WANT to take photos. I have a canon 7dmkii and many lenses. This little thing is a joyful camera to use. I’m thinking of getting a finger adaptor for ef glass. Thank you for your video. Those landscapes are beautiful.
Hi Craig, thanks so much for your comment! Glad you enjoyed the video and my work. I'm pretty sure you're having fun with that lovely combo :) Ciao
problem with getting an adaptor is the Fuji is a crop sensor and Ef glass is usually full frame so you wont be getting the best use out of the lense unless you use APSC EF glass.
Great video ..I'm looking for my first camera....I was between xt4 and xt3 but the IBIs pushed me to xt4 I'll spend more money and wait to buy a better lens in the future..thank you
Hi Marc, thanks for the comment, and glad you enjoyed the video. You can't go wrong with both. However, the IBIS on the X-T4 is a great plus :) Ciao
Excellent review, thank you.
What do you use for editing your raw files?
Hi, thanks so much for the comment and glad you enjoyed the review. To edit my images I use Lightroom or Capture One, it depends on the type of image. I uploaded some videos about editing here on my channel and you can find them in the "Photo Editing Lessons" playlist. Ciao :)
Ciao Andrea, bella comparativa.
I’m using “old tech” XT1 and X100T, I’d love to upgrade but in reality they are bloody good cameras and will keep me happy for a little while yet, I’m investing in lenses in the meantime. Great vid and 😈 🤟🤟😈the Moor!
Yeah, the X-T1 and X100T are lovely cameras. If the lower resolution doesn't bother you, they are both absolutely fine. And about "The Moor", thanks for checked it out, really appreciated it :) Ciao
I use the same generation XT1 but with an X100S, I do have the XT30 but I really do reserve it for events or if i wanna try a film simulation recipe for xtrans iv. I would still pick Xtrans ii cameras despite their so called "bad AF".
ciao Andrea, ottima retrospettiva !
I'm with XT-3 n frequently use with stills aa well as Video.
Thanks for awesome review
Thanks so much for your comment, Belaji! The X-T3 to rule them all 😄 Ciao
Hi. I see you are very happy with the XT3 shooting video and stills. Can I ask if you do also have lenses with no OIS and are there any issues, what is your experience with it? thank you ;)
I use a few not stabilised lenses with the X-T3 and I've never had problems with them. I don't know if you meant issues like blurry images at low shutter speeds. If so, the X-T3 with the 16-55 fo instance, at the longest focal length you have less freedom with the shutter speed when you're shooting in low light conditions. In this regard, the IBIS implemented in the X-T4 is very vary handy. Ciao :)
totally with you man / I work since two years with an xt3 (90% video) and I'm so happy that I'm getting a second one / 10bit in camera h265 is butter! As a videographer Xt3 it's a no brainer ... if I need stabilization I use a gimbal / plus flip out screen for me is just another thing on the way when using cages and gimbals, so .. xt3 wins again / enjoy your fujiness everyone!! Peace
Hi Lorenzo, thanks for sharing your thoughts :) Ciao
Hi Andrea, thanks for the review of 3 cameras. I was considering also Olympus OMD E-M1x for landscape and videos due to its portability, handheld HDR composition and 7.5 EV image stabilization, but X-T4 also looks great and might do better on image quality.
Hi Ken, thanks so much for your comment, I'm really glad you enjoyed the video. I don't have any experience with Olympus cameras, I'm sorry. I just watched some videos on RUclips but never used them, even though I'm quite fascinated about that cameras.
The X-T4 is as portable as the OMD E-M1x from what I can see; actually, I guess it's smaller and lighter. You can't go wrong with the X-T4, it's super versatile, image quality top-notch, usability, and the new additional IBIS feature is pretty badass. Since I switched to Fujifilm in 2017, I never looked back. These X-T cameras are quite amazing all around. Ciao :)
@@AndreaLivieriPhoto Hi Andrea thanks for the reply. Yes I'm more into X-T4 camp now.
By the way I found this review with very interesting comments on X-T3:

Definitely I don't need full frame sensors, at least most of the time.
ciao
@@AndreaLivieriPhoto - Great Video! As a user of both the XT2 and Olympus I can tell you that both are EXCELLENT systems and have their pros and cons. The real size and weight savings is not in the bodies but in the lenses. Both offer small excellent line ups but I have found you can get longer focal lengths in smaller lighter lenses in the MFT line-up. Everyhting has a trade off though and there is no perfect camera or lens so to each his or her own and use what works for your particular style of image making. I love the MFT size, the Fuji colors and performance and Sony files though Full Frame long lenses get big and heavy fast!
Hi Matt, thanks for sharing your thoughts 😃 Ciao
I have an XT2 and I`m not much into video but your review was excellent and you almost sold me on an upgrade..... but not quite.
Hi John, thanks for the comment and glad you enjoyed the video. I totally understand. The X-T2 was my first X-T series camera and honestly, if you're not into video, well, it's still a great camera. Anyway, some updates like the new battery and the IBIS are not bad at all, especially if the jump is from the X-T2. In some situations the IBIS makes a HUGE difference! :) Ciao
@@AndreaLivieriPhoto Battary, IBIS and the Touch Screen are all really nice upgrades over the X-T2
I am using an xt3, got it last year and I love it.
I am a newbie, and I chose Fuji's xt3 because of the dials and controls. I have no experience with color science or other complicated parameters, but as I said, for me, a newbie to photography, I wanted to take photos in manual mode as frequently as possible.
Greetings from Algeria.
Hi Seif, thanks so much for stopping by. The X-T3 is phenomenal, I just love it. You won't regret your purchase :) Ciao
Thank you for great and pragmatic comparison. X-T30 wins for me because of its size, weight and image quality. What I do miss is the IBIS and if XT4 would not so bulky and heavy I would consider it. In meantime, I will wait for XT40, hopefully with IBIS, since XS10 does not have a fuji's mojo :)
Hi Tomas, thanks for your comment and glad you enjoyed the video. The X-T30 is a wonderful camera, and for people who loves to travel light it's brilliant, compact, high-performing and functional. For its price range the IBIS I think is too expensive to put in, but who knows for the future X-T40. About the newer X-S10 I totally agree with you, it's a nice tiny camera but it is neither fish nor fowl, ...and the lack of the F's mojo! :) Ciao
@@AndreaLivieriPhoto Unfortunately it seems the XS10 IS the XT40...I love the flip screen and 240FHD, but the design and layout...I want to jump into the Fuji world and there are a couple pro features I do not need in the XT3 or XT4, and the XS10 positioned really well for me both in price and features...but meh...that look.
@@bronzepodcast Hi, thanks for stopping by. The X-S10 is a lovely and powerful camera. And, I agree, the design is original but the X-T4 and X-T3 are much more appealing. Ciao :)
Ottima recensione Andrea.
Hi Andrea, I am just viewing this video of yours now, almost a year later, because I am looking to buy a Fuji camera. At the moment, X T4 vs X T3 vs X S10. Weather sealing is my biggest question, as it will be used for travel, walking on beaches, salt air etc... But in much moderation of course! You have given a really excellent comment on WS which will help me a lot to decide, as maybe the X S10 will still be a good option!! Not your traditional Fujifilm camera, but Fuji nonetheless. And small for travelling! Thanks again for a great review. Hi from Australia!
Hi David, thanks so much for the comment, and I'm really glad you found the video useful. The X-S10 is a capable camera and with some care, you can photograph wherever you want with no issues. Enjoy the upcoming summer season in your lovely country, I envy you :) Ciao
I was new to Fuji this year. After studying all my options before buying a full frame Sony I discovered the positives of medium format and and specifically Fuji. Not having used Fuji before, the function of the commands were not an issue when comparing the models. In the end I purchased the X S10. Very compact yet ergonomic, with IBIS it came done to the X S10 and the xXT4. I now have about 2000 clicks and very happy. I am also taking some on line XS10 video courses and gaining a deeper understanding of the controls etc. Have fun with your new Fuji.
@@Festvangelist Hey Mike, thanks so much for sharing. Fuji X-T series never disappoint :) Ciao
Hi Andrea,
Firstly thank you very much for such an informative video. Great Work!!
I am a Nikon user and want to move to Fuji Mirrorless for travel and landscape photography. I don’t do video much (probably none will be appropriate). Because I want to keep my Nikon DSLR , I was thinking to go for XT30 for my landscape photography and may be bit of cityscape and travel photography. I don’t typically shoot at rainy weather conditions. What would be your guidance for me?
Ciao
Masud
Hi Masudul, thanks for the comment and glad you found the video useful. About your question, well, the X-T30 is still a wonderful camera to travel with. It doesn't feature any fancy internal stabilization or 10bit log internal recording, but in terms of image quality and overall performance it's neat. If you plan to shoot in relative "dry" and dust-free environments, the weather sealing is not crucial. As always, it's really up to you and your needs, but from what I can see, it can be a great addition to your kit. Ciao :)
The x-t3 is a super fun in portrait panorama mode
There way to small for my big hands but i love it
Perfect camer in hand is the my Olympus em1
Thanks for the comment! ciao
Thanks for video . What about s10 vs xt3 ?
Hi Alexey, thanks for your comment, and glad you enjoyed the video. I think that the S10 is a lovely camera, but the final decision on what camera to pick really depends on your needs. I'd say that if you're more into landscape/travel photography all around, definitely the X-T3 is the best choice. Weather sealed, excellent ergonomics, fabulous user experience, and the image quality are top-notch; everything is almost perfect in this camera, except for the lack of the IBIS which is not a deal-breaker for everything but in some specific situations is super handy. The S10 in my opinion doesn't have the Fuji's mojo, it's not weather-sealed, it doesn't have a dedicated remote control input, and a lot of the "analog dials" have been removed; but, it has the IBIS, the image/video quality is as beautiful as the X-T3, and it's compact & lightweight. Think about how important are these characteristics for you and you'll have the answer :) Ciao
:) Ciao
Excellent informative video. Which metering mode do you recommend for landscapes: multi or average? I find that the average mode sometimes underexposes in comparison with the multi mode. Thanks
Thanks so much for the comment and glad you enjoyed the video. I always use the Multi metering mode and adjust the exposure accordingly. Ciao :)
@@AndreaLivieriPhoto Thanks!
Picking a camera is always a personal decision. I came to digital cameras after using 35mm film slr's for 40 years so I have developed a method that is totally mechanical. Manual focus, aperture, and shutter selection is just part of the process. Speed is not an issue in landscape photography so all the automatic features of modern cameras are useless to me. Maybe that is why I like the Fujifilm format that doesn't use the PASM knob. I'm not against automation but I prefer to make most changes myself. Digital cameras do offer some distinct advantages that I enjoy using like auto ISO. The Fuji format allows me to select which basic functions I want to use in any situation by adding the "A" position to the shutter and aperture selections when I want to concentrate on moving subjects. I also like IBIS in situations where I cannot use a tripod. And then there is the film simulations which really improve the jpeg captures. In all, I really like what Fujifilm has accomplished in the design of their cameras. Large formats were necessary in the film days in order to get decent picture quality for large prints but digital has opened the door to lighter, smaller cameras using a smaller format that is perfectly adequate for producing sharp pictures to be displayed on television and computer screens where anything more that 8 megapixels is lost.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts, I really appreciated it! :) Ciao
While I do not own any of the 3 Cameras reviewed there is always the possibility of acquiring a second body. For me the T4 with IBIS is the feature I value because not all lenses are stabilized. I would put the 50-140 on that camera, what a great pairing. I found you comments regarding matching lenses to the body weight and size so true. The ergonomics of the smaller bodies ( T30, T3, XS10) not as comfortable when shooting with the heavier glass like the 50-140. Once you look at the weight and size there are some major differences in the zoom lens offerings. I sure would like to listen to your impressions of the 18-130 3.5-5.6 R LM OIS in terms of its image quality, etc. for Landscape, and also the review on the XS10. There is so much information packed into parts of your videos that I find myself using the playback feature to re listen and fully comprehend your insights. Great content as usual.
Thank you Mike for the comment. Well, the X-T4 is my favorite ever, so I couldn't recommend it enough. I've never used the 18-230 since I always preferred lenses with a narrower focal range. About the X-S10, last September, three of the Dolomites workshop's participants had the X-S10. Lovely camera to use with lightweight lenses like the 10-24, 16-80, 55-200, and 70-300. Like the X-T30, I found the X-S10 a bit too small to be paired with bigger lenses like the 50-140 or 16-55. :) Ciao
@@AndreaLivieriPhoto I would like to use the 50-140 but it is very heavy when compared to the 55-200. I am old school and always felt that the best always is always a good decision… but with these light weight cameras it is a more complex decision. Unfortunately as a consumer it is harder and harder to find a retailer with a selection of Zoom lenses to put on your camera body and determine if the ergonomics are right for your set up. That is why I appreciate hearing from professionals like you on that keep it real. Grazcha fich
If you're looking for a lightweight tele-zoom lens with great portability and image quality, the 55-200 or the 70-300 are both equally a no-brainer.
@@AndreaLivieriPhoto The 55-200 seems the right telephoto lens with a little reach for me. Although I must admit the 50 - 140 is impressive, and the price is not really the conflict, it is the weight. As they say there is no such thing as a perfect lens. Considering I shot with 1- prime for many years any zoom is a luxury. Cheers
Is having all those analog/manual dials on the XT-3 and XT-4 an advantage versus the other digital cameras because once you move the dials as you wish, the picture you are seeing on the LCD/VF is exactly the same image you will get? Thanks
Hi, I think it's not a deal breaker not having them, but, I find them extremely useful when you wear gloves. Especially in cold environment when have thick gloves. Every adjustment is much easier.
About the EVF, I could not live without it. The X-T3 and X-T4 have an amazing electronic view finder and it's quite difficult to go wrong with the exposure. Ciao :)
Hi Andrea and thanks for such a good video! I have two X-T3 bodies, I am a Wedding and Architectural Photographer and Videographer and as far as I know the X-T3 can not use both memory cards to backup video, it only does it for photos, even with the latest firmware update to the date. If I am missing something please let me know my friend because I would love to activate this feature on my cameras so I am not forced to use an external monitor/recorder to backup video. Bests regards from a Venezuelan based on Panama viewer!
Hi Kake, thanks so much for the comment, and glad you enjoyed the video. From what I know, with the X-T3 you can use the Backup function only for stills and not for videos. It's a downside of the "old" X-T3. Ciao :)
@@AndreaLivieriPhoto Hi Andrea and thanks for answering! You’ve got a new follower now! I got confused watching the video since I think you said the X-T3 does it as well, I ran to one of mine and checked firmware, settings and everything LOL, maybe it is just my English since I am Venezuelan. In abrazo mi hermano!
@@kakegarcia8056 No worries, Kake. My English is far to be perfect, so don't worry at all. Un saluto da Venezia! Ciao :)
nice video, I would like you to recommend me, if it's ok to buy the new xt-30 mark II instead the Fujifilm xt-3? 2022, It's my first camera I would buy it
Thanks for the comment, glad you enjoyed the video. The X-30 II is a great camera. It misses some features of the X-T3 like the weather sealing, the 10bit log on SD, and more generous grip. But, if you’re not into video and you not planned to photograph in extreme weather conditions, the tiny X-T30 is a bargain. Ciao :)
Ciao Andrea, ottima comparazione come sempre!!
I only do photo, so my xt3 is perfect and even more since Fuji has improved the autofocus with one of the lastest firmware upgrade to the level of the xt4 👍if I have to buy a second camera it would be X-e3
The X-T3 is still an amazing camera, no doubt. Hard to beat :)
Best camera in hand is the em1 mark i, ii and ii
I am in a place where I'm looking to change systems, currently I use Nikon DSLRs with Nikon DX lenses, so if I go for Nikon z6ii, I would still need to buy new lenses.
My first digital camera was a Fujifilm Finepix 3800, and watching videos about Fujifilm on RUclips, I really want to return to Fujifilm.
Ideally I'd want the X-T4 with the tilting screen from the X-T3, so maybe I should hold on for a while to see what Fujifilm launches in 2021.
Do you have any experience with nightscapes/astrophotography with the X-T3 or X-T4 ? I mostly do landscape, but like to take photos of the night sky from time to time.
Hi Zemekiel, thanks for stopping by. I have some experience with night photography and both the X-T4 and X-T3 (they have the same sensor, as I'm sure you know) are absolutely good for that. There are some things to consider, though. I'd say that the 70% of the job is done by the post-processing and the acquisition techniques you use in the field. In terms of editing software, with RAF files I would stay with Capture One; working with high ISO some artifacts you can have with Lightroom are quite annoying and difficult to manage. Capture One is quite awesome and clean on how it works with small details. If you use Lightroom I highly reccommend to stay very conservative with the sharpening sliders. Regards to the shooting techniques, that's another story. There are several options and each one has a specific approach. Anyway, for me both cameras, together a good fast lens, are excellent for your needs. Ciao
After moving from full frame, I use an X-T3, but I think I'm going to wait for an X-T5 to order my next body. I like L-brackets too, and better doors and ergonomics. The X-T3 seems to be just fine for landscape especially since it's got the same sensor as the X-T4. Hopefully the X-T5 will get a sensor upgrade, if so, I'll order it as soon as it's announced.
Hi Clint, it makes perfect sense. The X-T3 is an amazing piece of camera, and I agree with you, the doors layout is definitely better than on X-T4. Ciao :)
Hi Andrea, hope you're doing well. Many thanks for this video, it answered all my questions regarding "new" X-T models. I'm still very happy with my X-T2, I just wish mic/remote connector were on the right hand side and not to have to set the self-timer every time I switch it on.
Great landscapes as always in the video. Très bonnes fêtes de fin d'année ! Emmanuel
Hey Manu, thanks so much for your comment, I really appreciated that! I'm glad you liked it. That remote control connector is a pain in the a*# :) Have a good one ...e Buon Natale, ciao
Hello, do you think I will be able to shoot decent footage with XT3(handheld) if I use an OIS lens? I am switching from Sony and kinda on the fence to decide between XT3 and T4. Reason is XT3 is on some discount in my country now.
- Thanks in advance for ur response, from India.
Hi, thanks for stopping by. They are both two great cameras for video but bear in mind that neither was built specifically for video. They are both a hybrid. Now, that being said, for steady shots, you can achieve good results with the X-T3 and a stabilized lens. For moving shots you definitely need a gimbal. Ciao :)
The FUJI X T 3 is magic!
Yeah, it is! :)
All 3 reviewed cams has same processor, XT-3 n XT- 4 has main difference is IBIS
If u dedicated videographer then invest in good quality gimble
Ciao Andrea, ottimo video!
Utilizzo amatoriale: paesaggistica e ritrattistica.
@@MatteoSione Sei molto gentile Matteo, grazie davvero! Alla prossima, ciao :)
Hello! I am thinking of buying an X-T3 for shoot photography. I don't shoot videos. Would you say that the X-T3 firmware update (4.0) equaled the performance between these two cameras (X-T3 and X-T4)?
Hi Luciana, thanks for stopping by. With the latest 4.0 firmware update, the X-T3 works even more flawlessly. I'm pretty happy with it, it's a stunning camera (for video as well, even though it doesn't have the built-in sensor stabiliser). The AF is snappy, wonderful ergonomics and image quality, so it's a beautiful piece of camera. That's it. Ciao :)
Hi, your video is wonderful! Very instructive and nice to watch :) I am a soon to be Fujifilm owner. Needless to say, the million dollar question is the one keeping me busy the most ;)). I'm getting close to the answer though, maybe you can help me with the final touch. Given the fact I just recently bought the Sony A7III which I would use for filming thanks to it's stabilization and top image quality, I mainly want the Fuji for the great colors it gives you for it's pictures. So I'm torn between XT3+16-55 f2.8 (saving on the body, to get a better lens, but no OIS though) or XT4+18-55/16-80(get the expensive body with IBIS, and a cheaper but I suppose still great lense with the f4.0 aperture)? These 2 compinations would cost more or less the same money, I like shooting all day from early morning till late at night, I don't mind shooting in the rain or any weather condition as well. I just wonder if getting the XT3 with a great lense(f2.8) but no OIS will give me limitations as soon as the light conditions aren't optimal, on the other hand if I get the XT4 and couple it with the 16-80 with a less better aperture but OIS (and WR) do I lose much in image quality with the cheaper lens?? I hope you find time to give me your thoughts on this, I'd appreciate it really a lot ;))) Have a nice day!
Hey, thanks for your comment and I'm really glad you enjoyed the video, I really appreciated it! Okay, your question... X-T3+16-55 vs X-T4+16-80? The combo X-T3+16-55 is awesome, with a final image quality quite amazing, but ...what I found is that in low light situations, very often the lack of OIS is a pain in the ass, there are some limitations, of course. I much prefer to use the X-T3 with stabilised lenses, but it's very personal. The X-T4 + 16-80 I think is a killer combo, the IBIS is a game-changer and the 16-80 is a fantastic lens, it works almost for everything. I really love it! both together are in my opinion the perfect couple. Anyway, it's always subjective :) Have a nice one, ciao
@@AndreaLivieriPhoto Hi again. You're welcome, thank you very very much for your comments :)) I was indeed thinking the lack of stabilization might end up causing me some headaches lol, at least in low light, it do also believe the f4.0 lense is a great lense combined with the XT4 you get it for a truly nice price... If I want a wide aperture I could save into a nice prime lense. I'll give it a deep thought this night I believe ;))))) Thanks again, nice day to you. Ciao
@@trezegol2007 Greetings! Why not consider the XT3 w/16-80/4.0? This combo will also give you some stabilization which will be coming from the lense? I believe this combo also costs less than the XT3/16-55|2.8 package. 🙂🙂🙂 I'm actually contemplating on what zoom to purchase as well. But since we're still quite restricted, I'm opting to hold off my purchase.
@@nathanielngosy Hi and greetings to you as well! I finally ended up purchasing the XT3+16-80mm kit, first reason for the body I ended up believing that for my needs I wouldn't need IBIS so much as I shoot very little video, I choose the 16-80 because of OIS+WR, less weight, bigger range, less expensive and it did get lots of positive reviews. Although I am sure lenses with wider apertures will give you greater image quality, as I start you can't go wrong with that lens. I am very happy with my choice, the body works great, even in low light, just stabilize your camera if you want to take no risks and that's it,just like in the old days when there was no IBIS ;) It's just fun working with that cam, I am just now in the ongoing process of getting to know and understand the camera because there's still lots to discover ;) Of course, if one wants to get someday intensively into street photography a serious thought on a prime lens needs to be given. Cheers!
@@trezegol2007 Glad that you went that route (and I assume you already did before I suggested it to you). Yes, that WR feature from the 16-80 does sound appealing. But in truth, if the 18-55/2.8-4.0 would've had the same WR spec, I would've purchased that because of its more compact size. For now, I'm using primes as I'm stuck at home most of the time. And just like you, I just got the XT3 recently early Dec. 2020.
Sir, after too much videos and articles, I have decided to go for Fuji camera.
but here also confused,
1) X-T4 = Costly (else this is first choice)
2) X-T3 = Weather sealing + 10 bit + iso, exposure Knobs on camera body + better EVF
3) X-S10 = IBIS
4) X-T30 II = low price of all + iso, exposure Knobs on camera body
This is my preference, what is your opinion among, 2nd and 3rd choice (X-T3 vs X-S10)
Do, IBIS (X-S10) should be given more weight over Weather sealing + 10 bit (X-T3) ?
Hi, thanks for stopping by. Glad you decided to switch to Fujifilm. I don't know what type of photography you intend to do, so any of the listed cameras can be the right one or not.
7:20 - i think there’s the ipXX rating?
Ciao Andrea!!!!
I have been researching about the fuji system, and do you think the raw files produced by this APSC system could compete with some Full frame raw files?
Grazie, Ciao!
Hi Ranelle, that’s the evergreen question :) there would be a lot to say, but in general, I think that the images produced by the recent apsc Fuji sensors are quite stunning. As I said, there is more to discuss in terms of technical differences. Ciao :)
@@AndreaLivieriPhoto this is noted and thank you for responding.
I want to try to use the system for landscapes and I am trying to research about it before I do the switch. Thank you so much for the information.
Ciao,
No worries. I’ve been using this system since 2016 and I never look back. Do your tests, and see if it will be to your liking :) ciao
Are you going to test the fuji xs10?
Hi, at the moment I don't have any plan of a video review of the X-S10. But, who knows ;) Ciao
You can buy a 3rd party grip for the xt3 for $30+$10 shipping.
Yep :)
Do you need to switch the IS off when shooting long exposures on a tripod
Hi Kim, yeah, I always turn off the IS on the lens when using a tripod. Same thing if I use a non-stabilised lens, in that case I turn off the IBIS using the specific function on my custom menu.
Of course the X-T4 is best why bother comparing?
"Of course".... that's saying a lot!
Oh but that flippy screen....awful
