Saying such would essentially be stating that Chrome Dome is a scammer and also pull in the original seller into the "drama" both of which Wubby is clearly trying to avoid.

I talked to the guy. He's a sleazeball. I've dealt with hundreds of scammers in my time in the hobby, he's one of them.

As far as i'm concerned, Guru Jake sold himself out as the scammer when he instantly started freaking out in the original video. That was some shakespearean level guilt gurgling outta him from the moment he knew they were gonna open the box live. He was acting absurdly guilty, and explaining away the fake before he had any reason to believe it would be. His appalling performance speaks for itself. Pair that with his overtly rude and shady behavior outside the incident? You got a winner. Blacklist that greasy douche.
Possible alternate explanation:
Guru guy wants to get into Pokemon as a way to make money and starts buying up packs, including the box from the gun safe seller. Gun safe guy is either the one who resealed the box, or he got the box from someone else who resealed it and the story about having it all those years was BS. Guru, in his haste to break into the market, hasn't done his research and doesn't know enough about reseals to spot the suspicious creases on the box, and purchases it initially thinking it's genuine. Then, somewhere in the month after buying the box (but before the Dumb Money deal), Guru does some more research and realizes the box has a good chance of being resealed. Knowing that he can't prove the gun safe guy was the one who resealed it and that he is looking at a huge loss, Guru decides to try and sell the box to someone else. Enter Dumb Money, who don't know much about Pokemon or boxes and reseals and look like the perfect people to unload it on. Then, when he finds out the thing is going down live and they'll be opening it, he panics.
This version of events pretty much fits everything that is known so far. Guru would still be understandably worried about having his suspicions about the box he is trying to unload confirmed live when his buyers believe they are purchasing a legitimate product, which fits with how he actually reacted. The unscrupulous nature of this move, while perhaps not as despicable as if he had resealed it himself, still fits with what we know about his character. Finally, his obvious lack of knowledge about the subject of Pokemon cards that he displayed in earlier videos (30k bulbasaur, etc) would make him actually getting duped by a scam seller completely plausible.
Poor guy got into scamming just after the world became pros in Among Us. His acting doesn't stand a chance.

No one is seeing the point that there was a large motive Guru could have to "try to scam" Dumb Money. From the agreement he made with the original seller, if the box was fake he would get his money back. We can assume that the seller was therefore telling the truth, as there would be no reason that he would sign the agreement knowing he would lose his money when it was opened. Thus, assuming we can trust the original seller and the box Guru bought from him was real, he could have easily replaced the box with a fake reseal, have it opened on stream, reveal the opened box to be fake, and then get his money back from the original seller. Guru would ALSO keep the original real box, therefore landing him in insane profit and scamming the seller.

It's actually from oils that come from the scalp. Normally these oils would be absorbed by hair, but with him being bald it just sits on his scalp and causes the shine. I know this because I'm bald and have looked into why my head is shiny

An innocent person could act like that though. Being accused of something is a panicking situation. Not everybody can approach a situation calm and collected. What about people who are incredibly stressed out and suffer panic attacks or what about people that just handle stressful situation poorly?

Not true. As Bacchus said, each individual reacts differently. For example, I've been a part of a game community for almost 6 years now and while the majority of the people there are super kind and wholesome, there are some individuals who are malicious. It's a dragon petsite in which you can submit your own art and make customisable content, and since I'm a digital artist, I can do that.
Now, those malicious individuals feed off of drama and many of them actually fabricate things just to bait people. The drama blog on which that is posted is actually code-banned on the game site in question because the developers hate it. Unfortunately, many innocent people are either accused or simply used as drama bait, and I was one of them. I have horrible anxiety problems and sometimes my disorder can cripple me completely for a few weeks. When I found out someone was spreading lies about me and my art, I was in extreme panic mode for two weeks and I couldn't eat or sleep properly, I actually spent 2 days without eating anything. THAT'S how hard it hit me, but that's because I have a disorder, and the Guru guy clearly doesn't have it (or at least he's really good at hiding it.) People were making claims about how I copied someone's previously submitted art when in actuality, I had contacted the original artist and got the confirmation that I could make a complimentary item to theirs. I pointed that out in the comments with actual facts, and while I didn't visibly overreact in written form, I did overreact in my head because it's a mess in there.
Then years later, some anonymous bloggers posted fabrications about numerous players, me included, as bait, and I would not have had any idea about it if it hadn't been pointed out to me by another victim. However at this point, I had gotten my anxiety in check and the most important part about it is the fact that their bait holds no value. Did some people still believe it and block me and numerous other players? Yes, but honestly, if they fall for such things without fact checking, I didn't want those people in my life anyway. I conversed with the victim and gave them some advice, I held a giveaway that same evening to make some other people happy which ultimately made me happy and that's all that matters, not some petty idiots who like starting drama.
HOWEVER, there's a big difference between what actual victims of scam and accusations go through, and a man whose behaviour is unethical and toxic. Guru was called out for his own actions, and he just cemented them with his insulting replies and harmful statements.
To conclude - not all innocent people will be calm or non-defensive. I've been abused by some of my family members and when someone blames me for something I didn't do, it triggers my disorder and I get extremely emotional. Each person is a different individual, and stress and emotional reactions when you're being accused of something can be extremely prominent.

The 'guru' was panicking and defensive before anyone had even the slightest inclination to accuse him of something. Then the fact he is reaching out to fairly small content creators and taking them so seriously is ridiculous as well, a completely innocent person would just send proof and apologize for the mix ups, not attack people who 'dare' to call them out. Ironically the 'guru' is the biggest keyboard warrior among everyone involved.

I watched the original live stream video, on a psychological note, the dude ticks all the boxes of a cunning man, he lays all the potential doubts before the experts handle the box. When said doubts are layered before inspection, he assumed “potential liability” as a tool to discourage any normal humans train of thoughts about the genuine potential concerns. (As in saying, oh I also have those concerns about the product but I can assure you that....)Oldest tricks of a con man.
Distraction wasn’t a possibility as it was watched by millions. So he immediately swap to the victim persona, the clueless, the one that was foooooled #devasted 😢. Then nothing he said added up. The box he previously sold to Paul, could also very well be an initial legit transaction to get the credibility and then he was planning on using the fake credibility to build an empire. I feel like Mr Gross "Guru" bought the box, cracked it privately and found it was legit, gutted the box and replaced the packs with what would commonly be in a fake, resealed it very carefully [but not carefully enough apparently], then sold the packs on the black market.
I feel bad for the original seller since, if my theory is correct, the original seller even got scammed by this shithead.

When you accuse someone of something they didn't do, in 99.9% of instances they react by acting indignant, not rude and insulting.
As someone whose part of their job it is to detect if people are acting fishy, this is 100% correct. There’s a strange combination of shock, dumbfoundedness, and helplessness in the innocent (usually in that order). The guilty get angrily defensive VERY quickly and tend to escalate things immediately. I did not detect any genuine shock or helplessness from Jake Guru. It felt like an act. If I interacted with him at my job, I would give him the benefit of the doubt, but I would also note there were a lot of red flags.
His best counter argument was that wubby is fat. He pretty much admitted guilt at that point.
