This is kind of weird but was the conductor Dr Faegin? I just played this with the Connecticut Allstate band yesterday and he was our conductor, and he said he did it with the North Dakota band recently

​@@moonjelly1642 yes, Faegin was the band director for ND All-State, I assumed they probably knew each other seeing as how John came to NDMEA along with Faegin. I was in the jazz band. Super phenomenonal piece too
