Incredible collection
Dry cigars can never be revived is a myth. I received a Cuban box as hard as a pencil and revived them to perfection. But took me months. This is how I did it. Put them with their box in a tupperdor with a hygrometer. It read 40%! Then I put enough bovidas to stabilize them at 50 for few weeks, then 55, then 60 etc. The idea is to take it slow. You want the wrapper to catch up with the filler or else it will crack. Good luck.
Did the exactly the same thing…it took 3 months but patience paid off.
If it hadnt been a longtime that they had got hard i just rub a little extra virgin olive oil on my hands then rub my cigar and let it sit for a lil while in a plastic zip lock bag for a few hrs and then smoke it taste even better with the olive oil enhances the flavor

WOW WHAT BEAUTIFUL COLLECTION OF CIGARS
I'm still early in my voyage but the Melanios are one of, if not my favorite, sticks. The hard part is finding what's my shtick (stick). I've finally stopped hiding my surplus cigars from my wife and bought a second humidor cabinet and put my sins on display, but letting them rest for the appropriate time and getting the true essence of the cigar is a problem. Then I watch more cigar content and end up buying more sticks that you all make sound amazing. Maybe I'm too impatient and need to smoke one particular cigar at time rather than smoking a hodge podge of cigars in the same day.
Bro, You put me onto Plasencia, prior to that Id only had a Java latte many years ago after having a dream I was smoking a cigar but always enjoyed cigar content. Eventually that lead me to cigar shop and I saw the Plasencia del campo. Blew my mind, and as of now ive probably tried most of their like and its easily my favorite brand, despite being relatively new to the hobby.

I’ve been looking into an electric humidor only because my home is usually in the 80’s so I’m not so sure if that’s fine or not but I haven’t had much experience less than a couple months! I have a question, and please bear with me as I am new to this. I can actually purchase more than five (5) cigars at a time, keep them in my humidor, and they will stay fresh? I usually purchase four or five at a time because I was worried that they would go stale before I could get to them (I usually smoke one a week). I recently bought a fifty (50) count humidor and have a contact in Fl. where I can get some pretty good sticks from. So with a constant humidity level they will stay fresh? Thanks for the great info.

Love the Alma Fuerte, where do you shop for them?
Just curious but a lot of people seem to love the plasencia brand. Are they really that good? a have a few singles but Ive yet to try any from them yet. They arent particularly expensive or anything thats why Im curious what the hype is all about. Also, why are you taking them out of the boxes? is that simply a space issue? I have a Wineador and 2 wooden humidors for my singles. I use 2 large coolers for my boxes. Im really hoping to be able to get a remington cabinet at some point so that can store 20-30 boxes in something that displays them nicely. It really doesnt get much better than coolers for ease of use though. I put a couple boveda packs in a cooler with like 15 boxes and I can ignore them for months. The ones in any other humidor tend to get mold easily and I have to wipe them off with alcohol wipes every few months as maintenance. It almost never happens in the coolers. Before anyone things wiping off mold with alcohol wipes sounds strange, I literally was the first to bring this to popularity. I spent hours a day researching cigars for about 2 years and never came into this method. Once I discovered how well it works I started telling people on multiple forums and within a few years I saw it everywhere. In either case, mold is not an issue if you catch it in time. Alcohol wipes kill bacteria and mold and they leave zero residue since they evoporate so easily. Some people mock the idea and say that you should merely throw out cigars if they have mold but that is literally insane. mold is super common and if I were to do that I would have lost half my cigars by now. It is a very minor amount that comes off fully and very easily and I have almost 1000 cigars so it is bound to happen fairly regularly if only on a couple cigars at a time. I would say that if I maintain my cigars about 4 times a year I tend to find about 4-5 cigars each time that have a tiny amount of mold starting on them. I have yet to lose a cigar from this and anyone who throws them out is just being silly since this is extremely normal. Its part of regular maintenance.

The natural Melanio in my opinion is way more refined and elegant stick , the maduro is more of a boom on the palette . I prefer the maduro personally especially for relaxing but for wedding’s or social setting I’ll go the natural.
Love that Sobremesa Brulee Blue, too! The first couple I've had definitely tasted like a slightly sweetened cap. The last 2 I've had it was barely noticeable, if at all. I know Steve Saka swears it's not

You have an amazing collection. I wish i could find one of those lanceros. Ov never seem one in my area. I would.proly buy 3 a week for my collection. I havent foind a single placincia that i did not like. But i have a vary open pallet. Im a bourban/whiskey /scotch/ drinker. So i can puff anf drink a vary larger veriaty of things. Some day ill get my hands one a couple. I have tl have at least 2. One to smoke and one to hold untill i get a back up.

I don’t think it has anything to do with purchasing them online. They are just ok cigars in all honesty that are being over hyped. Sanj is sponsoring many people. Unless I was given his cigars, I would never have one in my collection. Maybe he will make a great cigar in the future. Right now though, he is just ok.
