Thanks for the links. Your grinder has 6 bad reviews out of 7 which has made me wonder whether it is wise to buy it at all. You would be using it for a long time without any problem & that's why I checked it. By time the brand value diminishes for many products. For ex: Sumeet, Prestige etc. Twice I made this idly & both the times it was very hard. First I used 1/4 cup urad dal for 1 cup rava & the second time I made with 1/2 cup urad dal with 1 cup rava. Probably I should've kept the fire in medium instead of high. Probably I overcooked it. Thanks for all your tips. I'll try once again.
Mam I use urad dal and raw boiled rice to make idlis n uttapam. Is it ok. Pls guide if wrong. Rava idli same as u make. Perfect result in rava idli. Thank you mam

Maam you used raw rice, can we use the idli rice n make rava out of it?

Yes that is fine rice flour. Rice rava is broken to shoji or semolina consistency
What if wet rice should be dried under sun, it would be better to store, pl. Guide
yes you can do that . But some recipes call for wet flour meaning that which has been dried in shade . so you can do accordingly

it is usually done in the mill
