Especially when these restaurants are charging over twenty dollars a meal.
And a lot of them straight up lie about it so they clearly know the quality difference.
Yeah I always felt bad because I buy frozen food (budget, large family, 1 big shop a month) it just has to be that way at home. But if we're going to pay 5x the amount for eating out then yeah, they can do it fresh. That's part of the happiness of going to eat out.

That whole burger segment is testament to why you should trust the chefs who are there to do their passion. Every time there's a problem with these restaurants and the food sucks it's usually because the owners stifle the staff and allow no input whatsoever. Let people do what they're good at and you'll thrive.
Edit: yes, I get that sometimes the chefs are at fault, that's why I said 'usually'. Anyway, we're on a video showcasing the owners being more in the wrong in comparison to the chefs.
The bread pudding too. They were also being held back by the owners.
There’s a UK Kitchen Nightmares episode where the owner was letting the chef have full control with the menu and spending whatever he wanted on it but he was young and cocky so the food was a confused mess and out of touch with the community it was in. It was cool to see a different issue in the restaurant business that wasn’t just bad hygiene and an apathetic owner.
I hated the wife at Burger Kitchen. She was a Karen and a half, not wanting to be satisfied with a damn thing that whole two-parter.
There's been a number of cases where chefs were just out of control and not doing good things. It really depends on the situation. Some were because the owners were too involved, some were because the owners weren't involved enough.

This is a great compilation because it perfectly showcases why so many of these restaurants fell into disorder. Ego and delusions. When you have owners actively rooting against their own chefs because of personal pride, just get out of the business. You've lost it. It might be your restaurant; but you're selling to customers. And if your ego isn't willing to accommodate that; or worse, convince you that it's somehow other people's fault... You're done.
Absolutely right. As a business owner, you should be proud of your ability to find, hire and keep hold of talented people in every role. If you think you're better than your employees at the job you're paying them to do, that doesn't mean you're fantastic at your business, it means you're bad at recruiting.

I think it's because most people don't realize it's sometimes necessary to be a prick. Gordo can definitely be a prick, but it's always called for. Some people just need their delusions shattered, and you can't shatter something by being gentle.
Because they don't want to do any better. Lazy. Lazy hates motivated people.
Gordon Ramsay paid his dues working for Marco Pierre White, the original badass chef. Owned one of the first Michelin star restaurants in England. As a chef I always enjoyed his body of work prior to tv fame.
it's the same thing when you need to be a jerk to your friend when they're doing something bad for them and everyone, you'll be the villain for them but if that's what it takes to help your friend then so be it.
It’s bc ppl don’t like hearing the truth. Most people would rather it be scripted where it’s almost always wholesome with small bits of fake drama rather than see people exposed for how shit they are. When cooking in a restaurant the quality of ingredients and how it is prepared can literally be matters of life and death so his anger and insults are completely justified

I never watched the one where Sharyn was the pastry chef, but when she said the thing about how if a dessert is bad it ruins the whole meal, I figured her cakes would slap. Passion and care are the biggest signs of good food
I love how all the cooks who Gordan liked their food are so humble and down to earth unlike most of their bosses
David was pretty arrogant to the point he got fired by the owners mid-episode, but that was mostly out of irritation for having to do things the owners' way, as if you let him have free reign of the kitchen, he could make something extraordinary.

I love the "old people like bland food" guy, he's so full of crap I know old people if you served them bland food they'd throw it at you and thats only a slight exaggeration.

Just because someone is older doesn't mean they want bland flavorless crap.
I know this one place that has a “spicy cheese dip” that isn’t spicy whatsoever, this coming from someone that can’t even handle biting into a flake of black pepper without drinking half my drink to cool my mouth down
The capability to and how to taste chances with age, old people tend to taste more bitter so they like flavors who counter it out like sweet, spicy or citrus

That’s actually a brilliant idea
Careful , someone might take this idea and run with it…
"What did Chef have to say about my amazing recipe?"
"Well, he said it resembled a giraffe's tongue that had been cut out and fried."
"I disagree with that."
10:52 “what’s that strong taste that I’m tasting? 🤡”
It’s called flavor and good food, you hag 😂
Unfortunately that chef was fired soon after by the son because he lost his temper, I’m not sure about where he is now but hopefully he is doing well
@@ArchangelMichael. wow. I didn’t know that. I hope he’s doing well too.
yep your right
gordon's respectfulness and genuine, pure, wholehearted excitement and appreciation of the italian mother's tiramisu makes me so happy
So basically if Ramsey ever walks into your restaurant, offer him a dessert of his choice on the house
The exception is Amy's Baking Company.
@@jffry890he did like the cake there though
Or that place with the mummified desert display or the one with the mouldy display cakes.
"I'll have a little slice of cheesecake and carrot cake"
"Done"
That was smooth as butter
Sharon: "The last thing anyone eats is the desert" is exactly why I ask to see the desert tray before I eat more or less of a meal based on the offerings. available.
Dessert* my friend. We don’t eat pile of sand in our mouth haha. No jokes by the way. Surely we all like to end our fantastic meal with a sweet savoury.
I remembered it because I want two scoops or servings of dessert but I don’t want more than one desert to cross. I think my teacher in elementary taught it to us like that and I still use it to this day. 😅
What?
I’ve watched this video 10 times over in my life, only just realised why the chef called it a redemption burger. Very smart word play
what does it mean then?
We need answers PLEAAAASE
The guy really served the Chef a patty with a slice of cheese on a plate and call it a burger?
But he don't like a bun 🤣
its crazyy 😂😂
Exactly 😂 like ok cool you don’t like a bun but I do???
A patty covered in blood too
And it's dripping blood
Woman: "I hope he likes it. Sharyn's gonna be devastated if he hates it."
Man: "I hate it."
Cut to Gordon complimenting the carrot cake.
Gotta love the editors, they make this show so great.
"he ain't used to that soul food huh?"
Ma'am that food looks like my turds after taci bell
That guy insulting that woman's baking because his cooking is ass is all I need to see to understand why that restaurant is failing.
that man who made the redemption burger is a living legend.
Lol
I hope he got tf out of that restaurant
@@bigfarting He quit the restaurant mid episode in spectacular fashion
@ur mum gey he was fired during the episode. He was a decent chef, but a shitty person.
@@bigfartinghe was fired
Whoever's writing the titles and descriptions seems like an unhinged intern and I love it.
i love how he treats every mom like they are his mom bless him
"Some people call me a meat SKulpToR and a lot of celebrities says my food is fantastic"
-Says the man who makes a burger without bread...with blood.
All burgers have blood...it's meat. So, there's that. Furthermore, have you ever had a juicy burger? Guess what makes it juicy; blood. Lol.
But yeah, that individual needed to be more real and less "put on" for sure.
@@timothyallred5876 it was Australian Waygu that's frozen he should of made a proper burger with buns and salad
@@timothyallred5876 not blood, common myth. It is a breakdown of the meat and protein mixed with water (often from ice particles forming and then breaking down, but not always). These types of meats always have the blood drained from them in the butchering process.
@@timothyallred5876 actually it's not blood that makes it juicy
@@Judg3m3nt Alright. After looking it up, you are completely correct. Thank you for your correction of my very base knowledge of meats/terms. Haha
The cooks' faces at 9:52 says EVERYTHING lmao
I love how they ALL were just silently calling out his bullshit as they clearly saw him just went to the kitchen heat up a frozen patty and left XD
The burger restaurant one was one of the best episodes - The owners are so typical of all bad managers. Ego, denial, blame, manipulation.
You know your dish is bad when Gordon picks up the rice and pretends its a *b o o b* .
So, all you need to impress Gordon is a cake made by older lady. Noted.
Gordon getting to the desserts:
"Finally, some delicious fucking food..."
And the burger, don't forget the burger.
Except for that one time in Hotel Nightmares where he got half a piece of cake.
He really has a sweet tooth, I've noticed
I mean, that meme came from this show when he ate a dessert...
they really did Gordon dirty by keeping his mic on while he fought for his life in the bathroom
“Oh dear, oh dear” - oh dear indeed, Gordon
when the mom with the tiramisu went "He will" very confidently we love a self-aware queen
That woman forcing a cough when trying that guy’s objectively better burger… 🙄
That was a bunch of bull.
The tiramisu gals didn’t mind because he liked something their mom made, and were also glad to see him enjoy something in their restaurant. Every other owner was pissed off because the on,y thing Gordon liked from their place was the thing that they had no influence/control over. The redemption burger will always be the pinnacle of that from this show, but god damn that bread pudding one is hilarious too
8:24 I love the arrogance in him 😂. As every good chef should have
Gordon is not rude he just wants to help them but everyone thinks he's rude 🙁
He expects more from people who should know better. He is never this mean to children or new chefs because they don't know better.
He also provides useful criticism but gets even more upset when people don't take it because he knows his shit.
He isn't mean, he expects results.
@tyzen Loser mindset.
@@maniakb416 Also the servers, Chef treats them with respect.
It honestly depends on the show. On Hell's Kitchen, he's a literal nightmare, but on Hotel Hell and Kitchen Nightmares he's genuinely trying to help them and be nice
@tyzen i think thats good cuz sometimes no matter how u give advices to people nicely, they wont bother applying it to themselves.
We need a compilation of the owners saying "Our foods good!" followed immediatly by Gordon hating on it.
Gordon flipping the mushroom risotto is hilarious 😂😂
How can these women hear Gordon praising their food without bursting into tears of joy?
Man whenever he likes the food, especially of people who I actually end up liking in their episodes, is just so heartwarming to see them so happy he likes their food
