Thought I try a new format of video using Guitar Pro 8 tabs and a fretboard diagram so you can see how the tabs relate to the fretboard .www.patreon.com/c/DUNN316

I feel the Immolation oozing off of this and now I'm also oozing Immolation (it's very epic)

Would love to see this style in a Thrash metal format if possible. 👍

I second that request. This sounds amazing and love to hear it done in old school Thrash style

The pieces I learned were in thrash style with the old school snare drum but quickly transposed it at the tempo. Good to know both ways like he teaches us. You can do 2 of each and sounds super heavy

Curious how you feel about this, I think tuning lower stops having an impact on heaviness around C/B. If you played the same riff in drop C and drop A I don’t think it would sound heavier, just lower.

I think all tunings can sound heavy but the lower you go the less note definition you can have and when you try clean up the low flubbyness it makes the higher strings more shrill. I also feel the art of clean sections into distortion conveys heaviness for me.

Awesome, try programming the kicks half speed each measure in the slower snare parts ,like half speed full speed half speed full speed,it will be even more effective i think.
    Just a thought .

@DUNN.. but dont get me wrong,it sounds amazing, great riffs and the choir sounds make it more haunting and 90's sounding.

I’m definitely a better guitar player than drum programmer 😂

Ha, you might be giving us a hard time as guitarists here and there, but imagine us taking that stuff to our drummers for band rehearsal😂.
