I'm revisiting this now after knowing for years how well you do it because I get requests for this all the time. It is annoying! I just tell them "you can't have a duel with one instrument". Well, if I learned it YOUR way I could tell them "give me $100 and I'll do it" ;) Either way, your version here is AMAZING!!!!
Amazing!! Been only playing banjo for a few months and trying both pick style and claw hammer and I must admit it feels more natural when I play clawhammer so seeing someone play this song in that style is inspirational as I know this is normally played with picks! Thanks for sharing 👍
Love it. Classical guitar player who just took up a deering 2. Asked a banjo-related friend and advice was make a claw and just whack the shit out of it sort of like that. Works. Hadn't thought to use dynamics to fake the guitar part. Awesome.
