This video walked me through how to reinstall (install) Windows 10 onto my replacement 1tb ssd after the original 256gb ssd failed (Dell Inspiron 7559 - 2016). Though the bios screens differed, the steps were clear and relatively easy to set up the new drive in my computer. Thank you.

Everything worked up until it was time for the USB drive to boot for the install. The screen has circle lines at the bottom then the laptop locks up and reboots itself normally.

I have and older dell desktop with a legacy bios bought a new ssd to replace mechanical drive.but once i install the windows 10 os. The computer shows the windows logo and then it goes black I always tap the space bar as this will take me to the sign in screen but nope my monitor is good and is receiving signal cuz the light is lit blue.usually when there’s no video it turns amber in color.i don’t know what to do anymore.but grabbing a hammer.

FYI: the storage option is in previous F2 step
There is wrong information while creating drives. if you are reinstalling, previous computer data is present in that drives. but you can't think about this. i lost my data.

if you get this: "windows 10 cannot install to this GPT PARTITION DISK"
then, do this....
You need to run an elevated command prompt during the installation of the Windows 10 Operating System, To do so you may try the following:
1. While you are at the installation interface hit Shift + F10 to open the command prompt.
2. Follow the instructions below to convert GPT partition to MBR:
Type:
diskpart
Press "Enter"
Type:
list disk
Press "Enter"
Remember the number of the disk you want to convert. NOTE: (The disk being referred to is the primary disk in which you are trying to install the operating system)
Type:
select disk (Number of the selected disk)
Where (Number of the selected disk) is the number of the disk that’s going to be converted.
Press "Enter"
Type:
clean
Press "Enter"
Type:
convert mbr
Press "Enter"
Disk (Number of the selected disk) is now being converted
You can type exit and hit Enter in Command Prompt to exit or continue setting up partitions on the new MBR disk.
Very good Video. Have two questions please.
1) Bought new DELL Desktop Mini Tower 3891 Inspriron with Intel i5 10400. Has WINS10 PRE installed on a small 256G SSD. I bought/installed new Ram Sticks(2x16G) and 2T M.2 SSD.
1a) Did I do wrong in taking out the PRE installed 256G SSD because I am going to CLONE my 3T SATA Folders/Files which measures a total of 429G, which has WINS10 ALREADY on it. Should I LEAVE 256G SSD in, setup Computer/Update THEN take it out, then put new 2T SSD in then Clone??? I will do CLONE with my 3T SATA hooked to an USB EHD. Need guidance. What would you do???
2) Finally. switching out SSD the screw to secure the 2T M.2 SSD tightens good but I noticed a slight bend in the SSD so I backed it off. I don't want it to be TOO loose for reasons and come a "little" bit loose then my Computer go nuts. Any help THANKS.
My experience with Dell when I wanted to upgrade my 256gb SSD that came with the machine with a 1Tb SSD. "It will void the warranty if you replace the SSD yourself with one you buy online." But, if I bought the upgrade from Dell (same device), I'd have to put it in myself. Go figure. And, a heads up.
Now, the right way to migrate from your 256gb SSD to the 2tb SSD is to purchase "ZEXMTE M.2 NGFF or mSATA to USB 3.0 Adapter 2-in-1 NGFF or mSATA Converter Reader Card with SATA Cable Converter as Portable Flash Drive External 2.5 inch Hard Drive,Support SATA NGFF B/B+M Key SSD" that will connect the new SSD to the computer and the Samsung software will write the 256gb image (with OS) onto the new card, then just replace it with the new card. I bought the adapter and my 256gb died before I could use it. :-O I just followed this video to install the Win 10 on the new card. I just have to reinstall all my apps now.
Your 2tb ssd card fit. Carefully assess how it seats. There's no reason it shouldn't snug down with no bend, etc.. unless the 2tb card isn't the right card. My 1tb card snugged in and tightened with no trouble. (Samsung 1tb m.2 ssd).

You have to back up your data on another drive. They show that process in the first part of the video. But, I'm sure you have it worked out by now.

This methord is not supported for dell 5502 i7 11th gen laptop.what can I do now?
Same for my 5402. Download the Dell Usb Recovery tool app, install-it on your 5502 or another computer if the 5502 doesn't boot and you'll be able to install windows from the usb stick created with the Dell Recovery utility.

If your computer is already has a genuine product key or came preinstalled with Windows 10 you won’t need it as long as you reinstall with the same edition of Windows 10 that you’re currently running on. Once you set it up and connect to the internet it will activate automatically.
No the product key is stored in the BIOS. No need to re-enter it when you installed windows.
