Loved it when you started speaking Spanish and went all gangsta. Hilarious! I’ve just recently been interested in possibly relocating to AL. Just started researching and your video came up. Great one btw. Thanks!
I live in Tuscumbia Al. It's beside Mucsle Shouls. I love it here. Family oriented. Schools and schools sports are supported. That's how everyone knows everyone else. That's why choose to stay here. We have the beautiful Tennessee River. Great fishing and camping. Pay no attention to what you see on TV. The people here are the best! Alabama's is God's Country. Roll Tide!
I know both places well. Bradenton is packed now and lots of drugs. But the beaches are amazing we were just there on anna maria, you can see the tampa bridge the skyway. LOVE FLORIDA.. alabama is too racist and bed bug infested for me.
I remember my summers in Jasper at my grandparents house.Walking to Sons and Sons Jr grocery store or the post office in Downtown Jasper. traveling to my aunties in Russellville, loved staying there on the farm, very different for a New Yorker. my Uncle is still there in Madison and lots of family in Athens, muscle shoals, Huntsville and Russellville. Roll Tide!
Jasper in the late 90’s, early 2000’s was the place to be. I remember Sons grocery; pretty sure it’s still open. Drugs have taken over Walker county as a whole; particularly meth. It’s definitely not what it was back in the day, sad to say.
I grew up vacationing Mississippi Gulf Coast Alabama gulf coast Florida northern Gulf Coast and a lot of years on Dauphine island and I love just Alabama in general because it’s so different north to south. And I’ve seriously been thinking about selling the house I inherited in Missouri because it’s way too much house and I don’t like winter and I really hate real estate taxes and that’s a big sell for me for Alabama! But I’m just gonna say this was great yes I watch a lot of Nick’s videos but I like yours it felt very personal. You definitely have a new subscriber!!
Thanks for the shoutout to Oneonta, I’m in the surrounding area. Blount County, AL is beautiful, the waterfalls, covered bridges and cliffs call a lot of us outside 🌳❤️ kayakers come from everywhere to enjoy our river ❤️ also, Blountsville, AL has a water park called Spring Valley Beach, it’s pretty big considering the small town and it’s a lot of fun.
I've lived in many different areas of the US, grew up in central Florida but to me Alabama is home. I live in a small town an hour away from Birmingham called Sylacauga. It's a nice little place. It's become more home to me since I moved here in '08 than any other town or state I've ever lived in.🙂 it's known as the marble city for the marble deposits nearby. There's even a sculptor that sometimes does his marble sculptures in a little work area in public for everyone to watch lol. Come see us sometime...
Crime in Sylacauga was very low many years back and until recently. crime stats and in particular murder have SKYROCKETED recently and there is no end in sight. LOTS of litter in this town as well. Its not an area in development.
I was born in Sylcauga and lived there until I was ten years old. Sylcauga is a nice little town, close enough to Birmingham and Montgomery. I know reside in Panama City Beach, FL.
So, a few smaller places around southeast bama, i personally live around here. Daleville, Dothan, Enterprise, and Midland City. Midland City I’ve lived in for 14 years. It’s a very small little town with only 2500 people. But many people travel through it to go to other states and cities so you meet a lot of people.
Alabama gets a bad rap but I've lived all over the country (and out of the country) and I love Alabama. If you are a fan of outdoor activities, there's an endless supply of enjoyment to be had. Great place to raise a family.
Wetumpka is nice, but go a few miles in any direction and find bad people. Too much crime out there. I liked the people in wetumpka and sadly there are just too many backwards people not too far away.
The worst people that I met in the Wetumpka area were those who lived in Redland. They weren't trailer park trash bad, though. They were the upper middle class people living in HOA communities that hated everything about Wetumpka. They only cared about fitting in with their own and could be downright hostile to those of us who lived in Wetumpka.
@@1ZZFEPay no attention to idiots behind the curtain. I've lived in Alabama for most of my life and have seen NONE of the hatred this guy tells. Yes, there ARE high crime areas, but these are commonly "Democrat Run" areas, much as MOST of the U.S. Democrat cities. Please, don't form your opinions based on the misinformation presented here.
I moved to Alabama in 04 for work and still here in 24. I started in luverne then to Grady and landed in Prattville for a few years. Eventually in 2012 I bought 10 acres and house about 7 miles east of wetumpka. I cannot say how appealing this location is. 20 Min from Montgomery 30 min from Prattville and 2.5 hours from gulf coast. I do miss coastal GA where I grew up but I visit often.
Usually when I meet A-holes in Alabama they are usually from the surrounding states or every other state but Alabama the three things I like most about Alabama the Country Rock Bands the real good ones like Johnathan East the Trailer Park Cowboys, The Southern Boys Band, Cottonbox Road and Cameron Dubious a few BBQ places and the beautiful Bama land!
I grew up on Lynard Skynard, and I did now know until a few years ago that they were originally from Florida 😂 I think a lot of ppl get it confused bc of “Sweet Home Alabama”.
First: “charming” is pronounced with a hard ch sound… like church. Secondly, you’re absolutely correct about Wetumpka! And finally, this video title should be “Top 10 Towns and how many Mexican restaurants they have” 😂. You’re super funny. You should consider stand up comedy as a career. Great job.
I moved from Mobile Alabama to Ashland Alabama. It is very different from living g in a big city.Clay County Alabama has a few small cities .Lineville,Barfield,Ashland,Millerville, and a few others.
The cities you listed I consider big. We love our small town of Roanoke. Great sports and church activities to keep you busy, Go to Walmart if you want a reunion.
I am a Home Inspector in South Alabama and I have performed more inspections from people from out of state in 2021 than I have the whole time I have been a Home Inspector. Some have told me they moved here to prevent from becoming homeless. I have so many clients from out of state, that I put up a video on my channel, letting them know what to expect when they move here.
I moved to alabama and had to leave because of racism. I cant even get a lawyer to represent me after the fact. I hope half of california moves to alabama and ruins it just out of spite
So glad Shelby county got some love in this video. I live about 40 minutes from montevallo, I go there every day for my job (Buffalo rock), and the people there are extremely nice all the time. Looking forward to going to college there in a few years
I’m from Lawton Oklahoma, moved to Huntsville in 2002…divorced hubby who’s from Huntsville who I met in Lawton, met my current guy in Huntsville lol but he’s from the small town Camden Alabama! Small town country boys are just better 😂 but before both of them, while I was in Oklahoma, in high school, I was dating a boy in my class from Courtland… Alabama 😂 I guess I’m just attracted to Alabama men 😅 thank you for this video 🤗
I have lived in Florence, Alabama my whole life. Its in lauderdale county part of the quad cities. Muscle Shoals, sheffield, Florence, and tuscumbia. Fame records in Muscle Shoals , Helen Keller was born in Tuscumbia, and W.C. Handy born in Florence
Y’all should check out Scottsboro, located in Jackson County (northeast corner of the state). I grew up there and my entire family still lives there. It’s the home of Unclaimed Baggage (def check that place out). Beautiful country backroads and mountains too of course!
Im from Chicago but my family is from Shorter and when I got out the military that’s where I settled at and I just loved the small town feel with less people. Now I wouldn’t recommend anyone move there unless you’re fine with driving 20-30min to any of the neighboring towns (Montgomery, Tallassee, Tuskegee, Auburn) for routine needs because there isn’t much there. I’m currently in PHENIX City which is in close proximity to Columbus GA and between the two you will find everything you need.
You should check out Dothan, AL. It’s my hometown and we love it for its convenience to the beaches in Florida, great golfing all around us, and plenty to do. Hunting, fishing, camping, and plenty of spots to start your own business. Also have smaller towns to offer all around us. It’s well worth your time to explore!
@@sylviaohuawunwa6625 It’s a great place to raise a family/retire to. Cost of living is low. A military base is close in Daleville at Ft Rucker if that is something that fits your needs like mine. Crime is low as well. We love it here! You will not be disappointed. We also have 2 hospitals to choose from!
Thanks @ Johnson. Do you know about Southeast Health hospital? It's in Dothan, Al. Which city is closer to the hospital! I would like to live close to the hospital. Thanks
@@sylviaohuawunwa6625 Southeast Alabama is on the south side of the circle. I recommend moving to the west side of town closer to Flowers Hospital tho. I live off the golf course in the Highlands. Highly recommended if you can afford it. You would still only be about 5 miles from the Medical Center. Chapelwood is also a nice looking neighborhood to check out as well. Lots of younger families live in there.
I liked your video, however, the closer you got to the #1 town the least you had to say about the area. Over all though, it was nice to hear the information you had collected about these small towns. I have lived in Alabama my whole life for 40 years, and my small town is Decatur. It's a great friendly city and it's located near Athens, Madison, and Huntsville. We are also known as the River City, thanks to the Beautiful Tennessee River that runs through or beside many small towns in Alabama. Great state full of great people and places, and ROLL TIDE good buddy!!!
Interesting list. I think one day, I should visit Gunthersville for myself! Some of these towns I haven't researched before(i.e. Helena), and I'll research them down the road.
You should add Troy, AL to your list. Just a few hours from the Gulf beachs, new industry, 30 minutes from Montgomery (make sure to roll that "r") & Troy University.
The south gets our rap for our past yet all the diversity of this country is in the south I'm in oxford and literally all of my neighbors are Hispanic and they're awesome everyone is chill I've got like two random houses in the neighborhood with white folks and a couple black families there's white people in Anniston housing projects it's the south I think people would be really shocked and how not racist the south is as a whole compared to the north
I live in Bham. And I've been up North. Could not Pay me to go back. A couple years ago, when BLM was gonna March Bham, I was in a Northern state for a few months. I walked in to a company where several employees were saying "oh man Bham is gonna burn" I said "you've lost your mind. We might open our doors and cook dinner for them. Gotta give out some southern hospitality, show folks we are FAMILY. Neighbors and friends. They are more than welcome to protest. But there's nothing to protest. They'll find out, we love each other. And we'll love them too" And ....that's exactly what happened. 😀
Exactly, I live in Montgomery there's a good comaradarie between races for the most part throughout Alabama, if you watch the news it seems most racial problems are in northern states
The crime in Birmingham is so bad, people in North Jefferson County prefer to shop in Cullman. Two Walmart Super-centers, Belks, Publix, Lowes, the typical chains and franchises with all ran extremely well. Amazing eateries, The All Steak, 412 Public House, Shrimp Basket, Busy Bee Diner, Duchess Bakery to name a few. And the BEST vet in the world, Lee’s. Veterinarian Hospital, they take care of cattle, domestic pets and exotics. Cullman is a diamond of Alabama. ❤
After leaving Birmingham in 1981, I moved to Cherokee , Colbert County Al. It’s a small town, less then 1000, but a with a huge zip code that includes most of Pickwick Lake, the 4th lake of Alabamas mountain lakes
Just drop that “T” sound from Oneonta and ya got it. Helena’s stats are what they are because it’s become just another Birmingham suburb. Also, once upon a time, Sylacauga would have been on this list. At its current growth (appearance), I’m semi surprised Troy or Enterprise isn’t listed
What you said about Cullman is correct. I don't live very far from there now but I still have a farm there. My father would be 94 yrs old now & he grew up there in Cullman and in the county. Cullman is now a very different place than it used to be VERY different. The population is much more diverse now & with all kinds of new stores & restaurants. It used to have a very bad reputation; racist, which it truly deserved at that time ! But not now ! And it is truly one of the cleanest towns one could ever go to ! Shockingly clean !
I moved my family to Cullman we have been here 2 months and we live on the poor side and so far we have been robbed of an Amazon package (a sandbox) go figure and my mailbox keeps someone taking the mail and there are criminals that secretly they keep under the rug here so crime happens it just isn’t talked about. 😂
@@Auburn34 not its not. I lived in Alabama and its part of everyday life from Churches to police to teachers dont try to pull the wool over my head i lived there its absolutely embarrassing how many hate groups operate and how people are so stupid to play into that garbage.
I can't believe you actually picked my town! As a resident of Cullman, I agree this is a fantastic little town. For as long as I can remember, the rumor you mentioned about blacks not being welcomed here has been floating around. There is a very high percentage of whites in Cullman, although the Hispanic (not Latino, as you called it) population is growing.

Eclectic just got a "Jack's"! 5 miles away from Lake Martin ( and "Kowaliga" of Hank Williams fame). Tallapoosa River at Cherokee Bluffs is an incredible tactile park for _River Paddleboarding _. Gorgeous wilderness, eight miles dam-to-dam, eagles a daily occurrence..life is good in Red 7:19 Hill

Loved it when you started speaking Spanish and went all gangsta. Hilarious! I’ve just recently been interested in possibly relocating to AL. Just started researching and your video came up. Great one btw. Thanks!
Alabama is backwards and crime ridden
I live in Tuscumbia Al. It's beside Mucsle Shouls. I love it here. Family oriented. Schools and schools sports are supported. That's how everyone knows everyone else. That's why choose to stay here. We have the beautiful Tennessee River. Great fishing and camping. Pay no attention to what you see on TV. The people here are the best! Alabama's is God's Country. Roll Tide!
How dare you call that racist place gods country? You think god approves of that? Jesus sat with prostitutes and sinners but not with Pharisees
Love the drive over the bridge through wetumpka! It's changed so much since I left but I go bk home to slapout twice a month
I moved out of Bradenton Florida after 34 years to Abbeville Alabama to get out of traffic. Abbeville is a cool little town glad I made the move.
I know both places well. Bradenton is packed now and lots of drugs. But the beaches are amazing we were just there on anna maria, you can see the tampa bridge the skyway. LOVE FLORIDA.. alabama is too racist and bed bug infested for me.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS I was a police officer on Bradenton bch for five years.

I use to live in Montevallo, while I was working towards my Master's. I had an apartment right off campus, and the cost of living was very low.
ALABAMA has it all. Alabama is AWESOME! GreT place to live. I Love Bama.
Roll Tide!
A couple of years ago Walker County had the highest death rate due to drug overdose. Ask about the murder rate...
❤️🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Your welcome
My family moved from Michigan to eclectic Alabama 3 years ago and we absolutely love life here.
I so can't wait to visit Alabama. Found a good guy there. I hope we get to live in the country or a small town. It's beautiful.
It's cheap to live
I lived in Foley Alabama for a couple of years. It's between Gulf Shores and Mobile. Awesome outlet mall!!!
Baldwin county one of the few civilized places in that state
Tanger outlet mall. I am just North in Stockton. We have a stop sign and the STAGECOACH Restaurant. Love this place. I grew up in Spanish Fort though.
Leas bedbugs there than in other parts of Alabama
I live in Enterprise. Great schools and great people!
Alabama gets a bad rap but I've lived all over the country (and out of the country) and I love Alabama. If you are a fan of outdoor activities, there's an endless supply of enjoyment to be had. Great place to raise a family.
Great place to what??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 with racism and segregation?????

Grew up in Montgomery, and moved to Wetumpka in 93. Can’t imagine, living anywhere else.
Where you move to in Alabama really depends on if you are retired or still need to work and how close you need to be to GOOD medical facilities!
Good points
Shot out from Oneonta thank you for saying it right!
Monroeville AL. Home of To Kill a Mockingbird. Close to Gulf Shores. Located between Montgomery and Mobile.
Might as well just stay here than 😂
I live in Georgia pretty much for 50 years, I'm moving to Monroeville real soon. The people are amazingly friendly and genuine.
As a resident of Elba, AL, it is fun knowing nearly everyone.
Andalusia, AL is a beautiful as well.
All up in your business
As an Asian in Asia. I think I will pay a visit to Alabama and these small towns, when I pay my 1st visit to the USA sometime later this year.
Alabama is very hostile to outside people visit San Francisco or Miami or New York.

I moved to Alabama in 04 for work and still here in 24. I started in luverne then to Grady and landed in Prattville for a few years. Eventually in 2012 I bought 10 acres and house about 7 miles east of wetumpka. I cannot say how appealing this location is. 20
Min from Montgomery 30 min from Prattville and 2.5 hours from gulf coast.
Lynard skynard is from Florida not Alabama

I lived in Roanoke for 4 years and I really liked it.

I have lived in Alabama for close to 50 to 60 years now. I will be 70 in August

Nice valley
My sister lives there very very nice!
Unclaimed baggage is where I do all my shopping for clothes lol
Rainsville gang checking in
I’m from up the mountain from there (Groveoak) right next to bucks Pocket State Park
Hi,
Can you pls tell me more about Dothan ? I will be moving in - there anytime soon.

Wetumpka #1 = yAy! (my fave
I live outside of Northport and me and my family love it.
I walked in to a company where several employees were saying "oh man Bham is gonna burn"
I said "you've lost your mind. We might open our doors and cook dinner for them. Gotta give out some southern hospitality, show folks we are FAMILY. Neighbors and friends. They are more than welcome to protest. But there's nothing to protest. They'll find out, we love each other. And we'll love them too"
And ....that's exactly what happened.
😀
Thank you !! I agree ! So tired of people/media thinking we are racist etc … they are the ones that need to move into this century !
Check out Moulton. It's roughly 30 minutes from Hartselle and Cullman.
At its current growth (appearance), I’m semi surprised Troy or Enterprise isn’t listed
i love there. I hate when people say it like “one on ta”
You need to check out Southside, Alabama, it's right on the Coosa river just south of Rainbow City!

I'm born and raised in Cullman and yes we have a very clean town
I moved my family to Cullman we have been here 2 months and we live on the poor side and so far we have been robbed of an Amazon package (a sandbox) go figure and my mailbox keeps someone taking the mail and there are criminals that secretly they keep under the rug here so crime happens it just isn’t talked about. 😂
