@@TheDeepLyingPlaymaker Actually, the Half Back dropping deep with the centerbacks makes defending against transitions easier, which helps unchaining the attack 😂
thank you for the suggestion :) I've been working behind the scenes on some stuff for player instructions; trying to figure out the best way to show the differences between them
Amazing video again, you have no idea how helpful this channel is to everyone in the FM community, I do have a question though, I’ve noticed in a lot of your videos you don’t really use a lot of team instructions, certainly not the mainstream meta ones that have a lot of success in FM, is that just for the purpose of testing things on your videos to show people how certain roles operate without added instructions or do you find you have a lot of success without using them?
thanks for the comments :) and the tactics from these videos are pretty much what I use in normal play. Some videos I don't use instructions if I want to specifically highlight a concept (like the hybrid tactic one), but yea I keep it pretty minimal. And you can totally have success with this style, but it's not like "win every match 4-0" kind of success. As an example, in my Luton Town save that we looked at in a few videos, I finished the Premier League season. We were expected to be relegated and we finished 13th; for me, that's a massive success.
@ thanks for the reply, yeah I get what you mean, think I’ll try that out, it does get repetitive sometimes just reusing the same instructions but it feels like with FM24 sometimes you only get success playing the same way over and over again, but this is a breath of fresh air, thanks again :)
Using 3 CF (support) for overload 3rd line from side to side, its amazing, they exchange positions at every transitions, pass and move all over the 3rd line with midfielders, the oppositions always in confusions of their own defense who tracking who.
the CF is a great call and can really be good for overloads... like you say I love how they roam around the field and switch positions whenever they want. Super hard to track
One big tip is to use focus play where u see u have the advantage! For example against 442 teams when i use my 433 i set up the team to play more narrower and use focus play through the middle. Against regular formations in my 433 i use focus play on the left where i have my inverted wingback and it works miracles.
1:20 Not all that important, but this would usually be referred to as the rest defense. Box midfield would be the AM and the DM spaces connecting to create a box shape.
Great video as usual!! How would you go about wide overloads and wide combinations. I don’t like the overlap team instructions as I like my wingers to be to dribble more and not hold on to the ball too long.
that's a great question! I may steal this idea for a future video, if you don't mind haha. Carrilero's and Full Back's are great at creating overloads in wider areas. Also, if you like to use the roles, the combination of a Libero and a Segundo Volante on the same side pushes the SV out into the half space/wing.
Idea is all yours. Looking forwards to the video! Also I’ll try out the full back and carrilero combination as I wouldn’t want my SV to be that wide, I’d rather have him a little more central
Its a very great video. You always deliver the best! I'm a little bit curious tho.. How is it that you choose an Indonesian League to play to? For me, even as an indonesian, it is a very random league to choose. lol
ha thanks! as far as the team choice, I know there are many viewers around the world (like Indonesia) so I like to use teams that aren't necessarily in the big leagues around the world :) plus it helps to show that these roles and tactical ideas can work with any team, not just the top ones
Hey you should do a video on player recruitment, i always have problems finding players perfect for my teams. Like i know how to buy players, and how even to negotiate the contracts but how to get players who can play my system and that's a problem and I don't think am the only one with that problem
I use wide overload. Use combine CWB-A - IF-S and other side CWB-S - IF-A. CF-S, F9 or DLF-S. With memtality positif combine short passing make triangle shape make.many option for passing line. Sorry my English bad.

Hello DLP, I could of just done with an overload against PSG 10 mins ago, lost 2-1 in the champions league 😢 just beating Nice 3-0 as we speak though so must be doing something right.
You would not believe...i changed my attacking wingers to normal wingers, changed my DM to Half back, changed to tackle harder...went out of the room, came back and I am winning 3-0 at half time 😳 tactics genius? Although the game is not over yet...
how'd the rest of the match go??? sorry it was not sooner haha. As for beating PSG, just cross your fingers and hope for the best XD Side note, for real the pressing forward is amazing!!! I've been in love with the role on the Defend duty recently. So versatile
Dude, i wanna ask again. Is it good if using 2 playmakers or more in a tactic? Example : i using DLP (s) - AP (s) in 4231. And also using DLP (s) - RPM (s) - DLF (A) in 433. Is it okay or better do something else?
So I personally don't like using two playmakers in a tactic. In a 433, if I was using the DLP, I'd opt for something like a Mezzala or Carrilero over another playmaker. I always feel like I can get better coverage and fill out more of the tactic. I do want to say it's not because "this is the correct way" or that you can't use multiple playmakers in a tactic, because you totally can! Your pairings look real good! In your 4231, I'd probably use the DLP on defend but other than that it looks good For me it's more of a tactical preference that I have rather than it being "the right way" to do it. Hope that helps 😁
Why my players with dribbling 17 doing same thing with players with dribbling 10 . And why my players need rest after 15 match with stamina 18. Can someone explain me that. And why player do not want to cross even if press hit early crosses.
What do you mean by doing the same thing? Do you mean that they pass or dribble the same amount or do you mean that they both lose the ball often or do you mean something else? :) Players with high stamina can get tired if you play with an aggressive press all the time, they play in a position/role that requires them to work hard in your tactic, if they have low natural fitness, play a lot of games in a short period of time, play international matches and therefore don't get as much rest or if the training schedule and rest settings don't give them enough time to recover.
Brother 15 matches in a row is crazy stuff. Especially if they play a position that runs alot like midfielder, winger or fullback. You need to rotate some players, you cant play the same team every single game, they get tired and eventually injured. As for the dribbling and crossing issues, its likely its a tactic problem. Even Messi will have problem dribbling with weak tactics! Tactics are hard to make, I suggest looking on youtube for a video that shows good tactics for the formation you want to play until you can do it on your own, thats how we all start out :)
Speaking about defender cb who doesnt play international foodball. Lower league england . Do not play pressing high football anyway with normal intesity and training also with decent fitness coach a workload normal. Want to say about dribbling that I don t notice such a difference beetwen top player and someone from lower league with lower attiributes on pitch.that bothers me.
And also don t notice difference beetween roles andvance playmaker / att middl suport att , mezzala / box to box, wing back suport / defend, advanced forward / pressing forward( too much roles ) . No offence for me its all the same on the pitch
@@miroslavbatapantovic1299 there are differences in the roles that if you know what youre looking for you can see from a mile away. You need more time with the game, FM can be very complicated. Maybe the dribbling thing could just be that the player isnt supposed to dribble, and is instead supposed to keep the ball? In my Brighton save, i try to get my wingers in a 1on1 situation with the fullback, so he can beat him and cut the ball back into the penalty area for a tap in. The difference in a 1on1 between Mitoma and Enciso is huge. Mitoma beats his defender all the time, Enciso often loses it. Stats matter my friend
