Folding The Wings on a Just Aircraft Highlander Light Sport Airplane ( LSA )

This is a Tricycle Gear Highlander to teach students. Teds Sutton built a guide / rail to help assist himself WORKING SOLO with taking out and putting away his Highlander in 1/2 airplane hanger ... The cart that goes under the airplane is to keep it from falling back on its tail when the wings are folded back. Ted build this Light Sport Airplane ( LSA ) as a kit. Most Highlander's are tail dragers. It takes about 15 min to get the plane out and ready to fly.

Rv4 Guy this plane was built like that Originally then converted to a tri gear To teach new beginner students . It is now back to a tail dragger.

Is that P20 you are flying from? I have a house on the river and have flown in there several times. Was friends with the airport manager years ago.

do you have to drain the fuel from the wing tanks before folding like in the kitfox? 15 minutes to unfold, how long to fold them?

Everyone to their own, I just fold the wings, shove it in the shed and throw a cover over it, works for me in Bonnie Scotland.

Sorry but a trike highlander is like have a 4 cylinder corvette. Just doesn't make sense. Nice plane besides that.

In addition, he actually had to use the frame under the plane in order to prevent his modded tricycle gear from flopping onto the tail with the wings folded. The normal tail dragger wouldn't have this problem

Its hard to find a high wing airplane that still looks youthful and sexy. The yellow and silver color combination is dead on. Im looking at the Eurotrak but do not see a color combo that does it for me. Any way really cool looking plane!

Paint some lines on the garage floor and call it a day. And who cares if it sits on the tail? Most of them do 24/7
