This is the first video of our trip to Tennessee. We sold the kitfox. :( We stopped at a gas station then flew cross country to Aztec, New Mexico.
We encountered Turbulence along the way. We had a great time at the Bisti Badlands with drone shots.

Every square foot of that beautiful countryside reminds me of old Arizona. Gosh, it makes me sooo nostalgic for the days when I was getting my license. Girl, plane and hundreds of miles of beauty (in and out of the plane). Jonas, you really have it all. Soak it in while you can.

Happened to me once in Eastern Washington State, only asked for drivers license, nothing else. No penalty no fine all was good.
When the cop gets home:
"Honey, you'll never guess what I got to pull over today!"

I spoke with someone at 0A9 (Elizabethton, TN) today and this plane is the one I saw on the ramp by coincidence yesterday while driving by the field! It was hangered today, but at least I got to see it after watching your channel for three years. Be blessed!!

Every time I see the West on video, it makes me miss it SO bad! Everything is scenic out there, but Bisti Badlands was off the charts! Rivals the Painted Desert in AZ, & that's no small feat!
Another thing I love about the West - people don't call the cops if you bring your aircraft to a gas station! 😂 If it were possible up here in the Northeast (too many trees, wires, poles, etc..) you could bet on the calvary showing up. Anyway, great vid as always Jonas & Silvija! BEAUTIFUL shots everywhere! 👍🍻

What a challenging fun flight!
The petrified wood and the eroded sandstone formations are amazing!! The aerial video shots are simply the best way to see the entire formations as they are grouped together. I can imagine you trying to lift one of the smaller formations into your aircraft just before you leave and Sylvia saying something like; and you were complaining about the cucumbers to me!!! WTF!! Cucumbers? Really and you want to take a large rock inside here???

Sweet! My father was born and raised in Aztec, NM. His father (my grandfather) homesteaded there in the early 1900's, and was the Justice of the Peace there for several years. I spent many a summer vacation kicking around that high desert and on up into the San Juan Mountains in SW Colorado.
Hate to see the KitFox go, but a guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta do I suppose. Looking forward to the next segment.

Wow I lived around Aztec for three years and never hit the Bisti. Too busy riding dirt bikes over 100's of square miles of BLM oilfield roads with kids and friends I guess. Your video drone footage is simply spectacular! Goes to show you find the story and aesthetic in all situations. Thanks for this video!

Bisti Wilderness is always one of my go-to photography destinations whenever I travel the Southwest; I love the emptyness and loneliness there. The formations are just awesome, especially when the sun gets lower in the sky! :-)

To me it feels so insane that you can practically land where you want, taxi on public roads and take off like nothing happened. It’s how it should be. You’re a blessed man ☺️👍🏻
I'm a pilot. What he did was not legal and he can get not only FAA fines or his license yanked for that, but he's subject to fines from the local or state police too for taxing down an active paved roadway. It's irresponsible, so don't take what you saw here as being acceptable.

Pilot here too.. FAA does not regulate directly in regards to landing / Taxiing at or near public roads, however this is regulated in the individual states. as far as I know you can land / taxi on roads in Texas as long as it isn’t in the vicinity of congested areas.. but I believe it requires some kind of signalling, like a flag at each side of the designated landing spot, but that is not always followed as we saw in this video.
