I salute the fact that you feel respect for someone besides yourself. Today’s society in the Free world seem to forget that not to long ago up to 80 million people lost their lives in WWII. But what I can say is that my Uncle and a buddy of his we're on top of Diamond Head December 7th 1941. Uncle Harold and his buddy saw the whole attack unfold in front of their eyes. My uncle said that they were frozen for several minutes just in stunned disbelief. Then he said they saw the meatballs on the planes and they instantly knew the Japanese were attacking us. He said they tried to get back to their boat but civilian police and military police had the roads blocked and were telling people to get back in their homes and take shelter. He didn't get back to his boat until later that evening and was devastated to see the anchorage at Pearl. He carried a lot of guilt through the rest of his life for not being able to participate and protect the base and his buddies. 12:24 In about 5 and a half hours, 81 years ago, the Italian ambassador delivers the ultimatum to the Greek PM, demanding that the Italians troops should pass into Greek territories freely. The Greek PM, Ioannis Metaxas, with tearful eyes, says the famous "Alors, c’est la guerre!", which means "then, it is war!" The Greco-Italian War is a small chapter in the WWII history no doubt, but it is an important one for my country, as it was a solid punch to the Axis power. They'll never be a World War II because nowadays it's fought from a distance with more destruction it would be the point of no return and United States might get the bad end of the deal if Russia and China team up
I've been waiting so long for the continuation of the first part and I'm so excited to finally see this! I admire the hard work put into this video, thank you!
I keep checking for part 3 every few weeks hoping that I just missed the notification that it’s available. This is one of the best WW2 documentaries I’ve seen. It must be completed.
This was hard to watch. A relative of mine died at the first Battle of El Alamein..on the 19th of July and this is the first time I've seen what was happening then and what he died for. It's had to wrap your head around. He was 25 years old. Never married. From Wales.. had graduated university before he went to war. And his life was cut so short fighting the Germans. I know so many were. It's just mind blowing to think of your family member there doing that. What hell it must have been. I so wish he had made it through to see the victories to come.
I've just now found your channel and I can't stop watching all the videos. You got great information on the subjects and great history lessons. Keep it up. Your attention to detail is great.
I thought you were guys were pretty arrogant for saying it was the best WWII documentary, but I have to give credit where credit is due. This is by far the best WWII documentary series I have ever watched. Well done my friends.
Well I believe that it’s not just ww2, the story being told is the end of empires, an age that had lasted for thousands of years. World war 2 finished what world war 1 started. World war 1 saw the fall of the German, Turkish, Russian, Chinese, Bulgarian, and Austria-Hungarian empires. Ww2 finished this, and although they won the war, all European powers were soon forced to give up their colonies a few years later. It is the best story ever told, but the story goes from 1900 and the boxer rebellion, to around 1960, when everything was decolonized.
@@asherhayes2429 but seriously, the stuff that happened in this war could not have been created in Hollywood. From the horrors, to the heroism of so many, the technology, the politics. There’s so much that happened in this war, you really have to think, this actually happened.
@@alanbo32 yeah, and it was everywhere to. That’s the most incredible thing about it. The story that is usually told is the American GI in France or Okinawa, but people often forget that American deaths were literally .5 percent of all ww2 deaths. One in twi hundred ww2 deaths were Americans. Death was everywhere. Every front was so large it is unfathomable.
I need to sleep, but I can't close my glued eyes from watching this video. This documentary is super amazing Please help us with part III ASAP. Thank you so much for taking your time and prepare this
Thank you very much. I'm 80 having been born as WWII started and I, along with many of us from that time before the Baby Boomers, am somehow powerfully drawn to learn as much as possible of the world of our earliest days. I've read many books and seen many movies and videos on the era. Virtually all focus on essentially the same collection of very important events, but much of this presentation lays out details often overlooked. Now I'm looking for Part 3. I hope it's available now. If not, I hope it will be very soon.
Very interesting, detailed & well narrated. Glad to see the section about Malta which played a key part in the Mediterranian, as well as recording the heaviest sustained bombing attack. Looking forward to Part 3

I'm Egyptian and you're the only one whose video mentions el alamein battle. Thank you for doing that because no one talks about how WW2 affected African countries like Egypt and Libya
Very great detailed documentary so far. I really hope the Eastern front between Germany and Russia doesn’t get glossed over quickly. Stalingrad was a bloodbath with no option to surrender for millions.
Seems like Russia completely getting over looked as an Allie would love for you to mention Russia taking the Japanese islands. Still own them to this day
I think that could be a part III, the documentary talking about British and American territories like it’s theirs LOL They colonized foreign land for the same purpose, influence, cheap labour and resources. So Japan taking it under its own control is not worse than what Europeans did to those countries. Killings and murder was done by British and Americans as well, the thing is that the history is told by the victors and they always justify their own atrocities.
Great content magnificent effort with everything from the steady and easy to comprehend voice over, perfect editing, eyeopening footage, soothing BGM, and also I really appreciate adding chapters to facilitate picking up the video in a later time. Just one setback, the lack of part 3 ☹️ Please give us part 3 and I hope the final one 🙏
This series seems to have done a good job summarizing a very convoluted time, it is helping me to understand current events and converse with history buffs better.

Yeah and there’s lots of detail left out there was so many more countries involved in all of this but he only mentions the US Australia the Nazis the Italians the British the French but what about India Canada the Philippines China Russia and many More small countries that were included in all these offences that are not given credit or a mention Like the battle for the Atlantic how many Canadians merchant ships supplied Britain how many Canadian merchant ships sink how many Canadian merchants drowned from being sink Canada had to endure that from 1939 till 1942 when US decided to join the war three years

Part three? Best documentary on the topic I’ve seen hands down. Thank you
You have to admire the Australian Army for holding backThe Desert Fox for 214 days. All of the Allies were very brave and amazing. Great upload! Very well done.
My great uncle died in Italy 12th of April 1945. 18 days before Hitler.
He served once early on returned home only to be sent back. 🇳🇿
Thanks to your video I now know where he was at that time thank you.
This must have taken SO much time and hard work to create. I'm excited for part 3. Thank you!
Yer, where is Part 3 ? ?
bro, it's exhaustive. I can't imagine the research involved to go over every single step of the war on all fronts. I was a history major, studied this stuff and I'm learning all kinds of things I never knew
You should watch the armchair historian, he covers the rest of the war after the invasion of Italy
Anyone have word on a part 3? These were so good!
@@joesteward2793 no
Both Parts 1&2 are fantastic. Can’t wait for Part 3 and the end of the trilogy!
Never clicked so quickly, this will be good!
Can confirm it was worth the 2 year wait. Looking forward to the american civil war video coming soon Life Guide
Is he doing ACW? That will be cool.
@@Flowerz__ yes I think so
@@georgeedwards6532 how do you know? Or is it just a guess?
@@Flowerz__ he posted his next 4 thumbnails on the community post bit on his channel
@@georgeedwards6532 ahh okay thanks 👍 gonna keep an eye out for that one
This video deserves a mini Oscars. Delivery 💯. Brought back my love for history😍 and gave me strong insight into the problems going on right now. May we not experience another WWIII.🤲
Without doubt the best ww2 documentary content. Can’t wait for part 3
Check out Soviet storm, that's a great WW2 doco.
Where is part 3!? These are so well made, I desperately hope you finish out the war soon!
Yes!!! I just found Part 1 yesterday and was sooo hurt that 2 wasn’t up. It must’ve been the algorithm
You lucky person! People been waiting years for this
Looking forward to Part 3! Thanks so much for the first two.
Best WW2 documentary I have seen in a long while, with brilliant narration. Now for part 3 guys?
I thought you were guys were pretty arrogant for saying it was the best WWII documentary, but I have to give credit where credit is due. This is by far the best WWII documentary series I have ever watched. Well done my friends.
Finally, after two years TLG remembered it had to end a great and the best documentary of WW II... THANK YOU 😊❤️
A fantastic and educational documentary! Thank you for making it and I can't wait for part 3 !
WWII is the greatest story ever told, no fiction can come close.
This documentary is super amazing
Please help us with part III ASAP. Thank you so much for taking your time and prepare this
Damn!!! looking forward for part 3
Why?
Thank you very much. I'm 80 having been born as WWII started and I, along with many of us from that time before the Baby Boomers, am somehow powerfully drawn to learn as much as possible of the world of our earliest days. I've read many books and seen many movies and videos on the era. Virtually all focus on essentially the same collection of very important events, but much of this presentation lays out details often overlooked. Now I'm looking for Part 3. I hope it's available now. If not, I hope it will be very soon.
So glad you posted pt.2!! An awesome documentary thank you 🙏
Very interesting, detailed & well narrated. Glad to see the section about Malta which played a key part in the Mediterranian, as well as recording the heaviest sustained bombing attack. Looking forward to Part 3
It was amazing!!! Waited a year for part 2 and definitely worth it! Please bring part 3 soon 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Gonna need you to keep praying cus we still waiting
I just binged both parts and was extremely excited to start watching part 3 just to find put is not out yet… 😭

At least U tell the truth..U have Great voice & do Amazing Job explaining WW2 both the Politics & War Side of WW2..I watch some videos & can't get half way through them. I don't know how long it takes U 2DO or make these Video's but U do hell of Job.. Thanks UR Hard Work Is Appreciated
Was listening to this while working. Super clear narrative and understood what was going on perfectly without looking at the video, great job!
These are fantastic documentaries. I've thoroughly enjoyed Parts 1 and Parts 2. Is there a Part 3?? please let me know.
I can't get enough and need World War 2 Explained | Best WW2 Documentary | Part 3. PLEASE!
These are brilliant videos explaining the WW2. Just need part 3 please 🙏
Omg yeeees! I was waiting for this for quite a while!
I'm Egyptian and you're the only one whose video mentions el alamein battle. Thank you for doing that because no one talks about how WW2 affected African countries like Egypt and Libya
I've been looking forward to part 2, can't wait to watch it!
Hope you enjoy it 👍
@@TheLifeGuide yo have you made part 3?? Desperate 4 it now like
Really enjoy the music, especially during the Battle of Midway. Its brings out a haunting aspect of the war other documentaries lack. Great job!
You should have at least 7 million subscribers. This video is a masterpiece.
Still own them to this day
I think that could be a part III, the documentary talking about British and American territories like it’s theirs LOL
They colonized foreign land for the same purpose, influence, cheap labour and resources. So Japan taking it under its own control is not worse than what Europeans did to those countries.
Killings and murder was done by British and Americans as well, the thing is that the history is told by the victors and they always justify their own atrocities.
Your documentaries are the best. I'm hoping you make Part 3 soon!
@DB63 What's been a year?
Very good documentary. Thank you for taking the time and presenting the topics. I’m looking forward to part 3.
so ready for this! Thank you for continuing the series
One of the best WW2 documentaries on RUclips. Patiently waiting on part 3.
Be careful with what you say. Specify you want part 3 of the documentary, and not of the war.

This series seems to have done a good job summarizing a very convoluted time, it is helping me to understand current events and converse with history buffs better.
Dying for part 3. Brilliant work. Much appreciated.

Very well done. Bravo! Can’t have too many well researched and produced WWII documentaries.
This channel has taught me more than any school ever will
That's sad
Yeah and there’s lots of detail left out there was so many more countries involved in all of this but he only mentions the US Australia the Nazis the Italians the British the French but what about India Canada the Philippines China Russia and many More small countries that were included in all these offences that are not given credit or a mention Like the battle for the Atlantic how many Canadians merchant ships supplied Britain how many Canadian merchant ships sink how many Canadian merchants drowned from being sink Canada had to endure that from 1939 till 1942 when US decided to join the war three years
@@AaronDrake22 This is a 1 hour video. How the fuck is he gonna include all that?
Then you should’ve paid attention in school.
And this isn’t bad, but WW2 Apocalypse is a longer and better documentary, with no advertising.
@@septicwomb4394 it's not like i didn't pay attention, our school system here in south africa just sucks ass😂they only taught us that hitler decided to invade and got beat...no in depth explanation or nothing, basically just "this one dude tried to take over the world and failed" that was it for history on hitler

Excellent video. One positive thing about WW2 is it broke the back of colonialism. It's sad it took such something so horrible for that to happen.
i dont get this statement, how so?
@@JoseRhodeIsland because after the war the colonial powers were too weak, broken and battered for that program to continue.
@@PurpleMusicProductions ok I thought that was it. Thus making it easier for those colonized places to seek independence knowing there European colonizers wouldn’t put up a fight
