    The Battle of Stalingrad was one of the my incredible instances of human resilience. Stalin ordered that citizens stay in the city and fight along side the soldiers. The civilian casualties from this battle is mind boggling, but in the end Hitler and his men retreated. This is a great documentary!

    • @mullythebully5557

      human resilience from which side. It was the germans who took the city and held it from a numerically superior enemy while under siege.

    • @Brandon-nr8fn
      @Brandon-nr8fn Год назад +2

      Civilians forced to fight bla hagahagagAhagAhaha. And retreat? No. The sixth army was ordered by hitler NOT to retreat. You want to talk about human resilience? You should mention the unbelievable bravery and tenacity of the German sixth army. They were encircled, cut off from all land supply, they then lost the airport and all air support, then their army was split, they starved, they were offered food, shelter, LIFE, and their personal belongings if they would just admit defeat. Yet they endured all of this, never submitting until their general ordered them to surrender. That my friend is human resilience. The civilians of many cities suffered, but this level of suffering is way way way worse

    • @Brandon-nr8fn
      @Brandon-nr8fn Год назад

      @truthbetold9696 even after Hoths rescue force failed, the sixth army did not give up. And it's hard to shower and live nice when you are watching your friends die. 300 thousand trapped in the pocket, 90 k at surrender. Your a fucking idiot

    • @Brandon-nr8fn
      @Brandon-nr8fn Год назад

      @truthbetold9696 and I said even after air supply stopped the sixth army continued. See your under the impression that german transports kept the sixth army somewhat supplied. What you fail to realize is that the german condors were getting shot down at increasing rates until the point the luftwaffe said NO MAS. Fuck off

    • @Brandon-nr8fn
      @Brandon-nr8fn Год назад

      @truthbetold9696 and not to mention, the end of the war was not the end of the war for the sixth army. 90 k into captivity, 6 k came out alive. Do you have any idea what these men endured? And for how long? Many humans showed resilience, but this IMO is extraordinary

    Wait wait, there is a few inaccuracies in the Poland segment.
    1. The poles weren't slow to mobilize for no reason, the allies held them back from mobilizing out of fear it would give Germany an excuse to attack.
    2. There was no real recorded cavalry charge on tank and the German army also fielded thousands of horses and was only marginally more mechanized then the polish army.
    3. the poles had one very effective tank, just too few and fielded too late and mostly not deployed with much effectiveness .

      Too many mistakes, it overstates the ability of Germany and dosen't include much about the actual logistical situation that Germany faced nor their technological disadvantage. Overall the video just reeks of an amateur historian who dosen't actually grasp why Germany was doomed from the start.

      And you shouldn’t need to justify it either. There is actually quite a lot to sympathize and relate to when you take a look at Hitler and the conditions of Germany. There’s always a preface of apology when someone can’t help but make a relatable association with him but the truth is there was a lot more to the whole thing than just the outcome we know to be horrific therefore all things Hitler are horrific and deemed inappropriate to relate on any level. In trying to talk to simpler understanding people about the Civil War and the true rise up of the south history has a way of telling things in a matter of moments or hours what was really years of lead up and unfold. There is no justice to the understanding.

    The narrative makes a serious error. Poland was slow to mobilize in 1939 because of French pressure not because they they believed the British and French would stop the intervention. Not knowing the fact, the video resorts to insult. Why? The Poles were not waiting for their Allies to do the fighting for them but they did expect them to live up to their commitment of a full scale attack on Germany from the West. France and Britain did not deliver on their promises.

    • @NeiasaurusCreations
      @NeiasaurusCreations 2 года назад +1

      Poland also gave germany a SERIOUS bloody nose. Downright heroic actions saw attempts thrown back. And even with tank superiority, poland continued to resist. Yes, it inevitably lost but it was still a very heroic, and fairly effective fighting force. I kinda hate how everyone portraits poland as weak, as just victims. Rather than a nation fighting two juggernauts, and resisting heroically. Even winning some battles through cleaver use of fortifications, calvery, and all. Had it been remotely invested in by the allies, poland could've likely had a chance to win. But alas, its allies were little more than paper allies at that time. Not for the last time would poland be betrayed by allies.

And the treat only gave hitler more popularity, because german people didn’t like the treaty, even if they lost the ww1 the treaty was literally very unfair for them.
