Metropolis *would* easily be the best region in the game, if it weren't only locked to Artificer, who has- no serious hate- one of, if not THE worst gameplay loops of any slugcat. It's literally just "bash your head into a scav-shaped wall until you reach the next shelter" simulator, and it's... I dunno! It's not that fun! Love arti's design, her controls, her gimmicks... but that gameplay loop, though...
Nah it is fun, I understand why you find scav fighting annoying or frustrating but the bashing your head into a wall part is what made it fun to me. There’s so much you have to consider and learn when fighting them and every fight is different. You have to keep track of where all the scavs are, where safe spots are, walls you can use for cover, remember locations of spears or rocks, know when to retreat or when to attack, when to craft bombs, when to prioritize an explosive spear or a regular one, how to space out using your jump and deflect that they can save you in tight situations while still getting value from their offensive capabilities, enemies you can lure to distract some of the scavs while you take out others, I could go on and on… there’s so much depth to it because of artis complex abilities and the scavs being insanely difficult and complex themselves that when you finally understand how to perfectly use your abilities and surroundings and win against a toll or kill squad despite all odds, it’s one of the most satisfying and rewarding things in the game. And I think metropolis a great arena for fighting them, the blocky design provides lots of cover and movement opportunities, still with wider open areas where the scavs have more of an advantage. And especially with this banger of a threat theme. I mean I think I understand why people don’t like it but I just can’t agree, this might be my favorite campaign though I’m not sure (metropolis definitely my favorite area though).

I could also explain a bit how to get them though. The procedural music files were moved in Assetbundles folder after downpour's release or remix update I believe, and turned the files into a compressed mess which makes them inaccessible. The only way to access them again is to convert and extract the files with another software. I've used (AssetRipper) for it.
Thank you so much!!
yooo i found the original comment that allowed the artificer vs chief scavenger animation to exist
@@Northflowothank you for asking
thanks to this very comment you have made a cinematic masterpiece.
I love vibing to this while killing the platoon of scavengers
Why tf does everyone hate scavs so much? They are hard to kill and always one shot you. I rather be their friend
@@tritonwe8937 i think they're talking about how in artificer, you kinda have no choice lol. i am WITH you though, i hate killing them, its difficult and really not worth it most of the time
@@wiltedcordypetals Yeah, but I don't understand why everyone just loves the artificer. For me, it seemed like the hardest campaign, due to how many times I got spawn camped. It took me 20 cycles to get out of the garbage worm shelter in chimney canopy and another 10 cycles to get out of five pebbles and enter metropolis
@tritonwe8937 ohhh I get that too man, it's so fucking difficult. I think the appeal with her is more of the lore aspect? the campaign itself is fucking insanely hard.
@@tritonwe8937 I imagine it’s because lots of the people that hate scavengers are also the people who’re also the people who are essentially combat enthusiasts who like killing and dislike how annoying and intrusive scavs can be at times
YESSS, the layered versions are back!
Can't wait for Waterfront, Metropolis (Night), Looks to the Moon, Pipeyard, and Outer Expanse!
Don't forget to put these in your threat layered playlist

I haven't gotten to that part of the song yet so I assume it's bad... Lol
I imagine the scavs are throwing a party with this music using FP and meanwhile Arti is just mauling the guards

Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this! LC's threat theme is great and I love the medium level layers the most.
Thank you, been looking for this since downpour dropped
I've been having so much fun with artificer compared to the main playthrough as the survivor . I have likely genocided multiple scav family trees with my explosives
I have no idea how, but you're a legend for uploading these layered 🙏🏽
I really like the synths in this song, it almost reminds me of a distorted version of the echo music
the "tom" layer is kinda unmusical, i actually thought it was scavs throwing bombs when i played through the area
That's the idea
Yeah, it sounds a bit out of place listening to it on youtube, but in-game it really adds to the experience. It's like bombs are going off somewhere right around the corner and makes things even more tense
My favorite character is the pyrocynical insert.
Who? Gourmand?
@@reformedorthodoxmunmanquara I believe that's the joke.

They’re back with another layered, yay!
This track is just the scavs realizing they messed with the wrong sluggo. It's more threat music for them, really.
I’ve been waiting to actually get to metropolis to relisten to the track on yt so I get the vibes in order 👍
The monk is literally looking so threatened and angry from that lizard lol
Arti did nothing wrong, and those scavs deserved it for what they did to her babies
Arti truly did do nothing wrong, one of her kids was curious and picked up a pearl at a scav toll, and then the rest we see in artis dreams

Hey Tom
*KABLEWIE*
i wish the vine booms in the tom layer weren't a thing.
I dont think those are supposed to be vine booms im pretty theyre supposed to be sounds of explosions happening in the distance
@@nomnom2298 i am aware they aren't actually vine booms, but they're painfully offbeat and kill the spotify version of the song for me, i find them annoying. the song is genuinely just better without em to me.
@@azurreforsureI think the tom was meant to encapsulate the chaos and intensity of the fights and more so meant for listening while you play the game than listening casually. But yeah I definitely see what you mean there, the song would work fine without it.
Mom, he’s back!!

Metropolis? Where's superman?
Ah where does this play again?
