Exact same thing happened to me tried switching from 3rd to 2nd and it was like I was a neutral looked back my belt was on the ground ripped this video helped me install my replacement thank you
I don’t have that bike anymore. I ran it for a little over 1000 miles with no issues. I would have preferred a drag specialties belt but couldn’t beat the overnight shipping on the Amazon one.
How u determine the size of belt, mine is a 89 that was converted to belt when they did the 1200 conversion im hoping once belt is off I can find a number or count teeth as last resort
what about now? Probably the same given the winter season. Same thing happened to me at work, went to leave and it wouldnt move. I was confused, co-worker seen my belt. Bought a gates one. The whole was good timing tho. Just had a buddy paint my tank and fenders. The paint is the exact match to my 2017 ram 1500 sport copperhead edition. Looks alot like a burnt orange. May favorite color. Enjoyed you video. Thanks a ton.@@twinsmotogarage1866
@@twinsmotogarage1866 One on the used 08 I just bought broke and left me stranded in AZ 110+ ..Not good..Again Highly Recommend spending extra $$ and get high quality aftermarket.
@@RCnAZ-y3z I’m not disagreeing that an OEM belt would be ideal over Amazon but to be clear… you installed a new Amazon belt, properly set and maintained the correct tension and it broke?

This helped me figure out how to do mine. Thanks
Holy shit thats pretty easy compared the other harleys where you gotta disassemble the whole damn clutch cover 😂
I broke mine luckily only 2 miles from home. Had to push it back since I forgot my phone. That was fun up hills.
The belt still holding up? I just bought one for my bike and plan on doing it tomorrow

Was it hard to get the exhaust hanger bolt out, I don't want to break it. Any suggestions? Tia
Thanks for the vid! How’s the belt holding up?

How long did the belt last? All i see is horrible reviews for the Amazon belts. Love the price but I need something that will last
@@scottdavis681 No issues up to 1000 miles. Don’t have the bike anymore so can’t speak on it past that.
@@twinsmotogarage1866 I checked that link and it was for a 134T mine has a 128T unfortunately
Can we get a review on that belt
Close to 1000 miles on it now. It’s still holding up. I would definitely prefer drags specialties though.
14:42 😂 what a joker
You have to take the tire off
@@Harleyboi What
@@twinsmotogarage1866 i forgot to put the ??????
@@twinsmotogarage1866 snapped the bolt in the manifold then snapped the drill bit off in the bolt, im ready to sell it
@@Harleyboi you snapped the exhaust stud that goes into the head?
@@twinsmotogarage1866 sure did
Don't use the cheap pos Amazon belt. Spend the extra cash and get as close to OEM as you can.
Yeah that would be ideal but the Amazon one was a third of the price and arrived basically next day. We put 1000 miles on it with no issue.
