As the former boss of the Genovese Mafia's Springfield faction, Anthony detailed the history of organized crime in Massachusetts. He also detailed his tenure as the boss and his involvement in various crimes. However, once the law caught up to him, he explained his reasons for cooperating despite his original plan to fight his case. He may not be a Made member of the Genovese family/ Cosa Nostra anymore. He's been stripped of that status or more like he forfeited it when he flipped but he'll always be a gangster not a former gangster but a reformed gangster. just like someone who's been sober for years is still an addict and will be until the day he dies.

People say the Genovese are the most organized, but they were a big part of the mafia's downfall. They screwed things up in Boston, Philly, Springfield, and New Jersey with their powerplays. Taking out Al Bruno in Springsfield was a mistake, the same as taking out Angelo Bruno in Philadelphia.

The game is different now. The mobs changed over the years. The reality is there is about a 80 percent chance when someone in the mob goes to jail they are ratting someone out.
And in a lot of cases it’s ususally guys who will rat each other out but it’s the first to do it that gets the better deal.
If you knew the guy you was ratting was trying to put you under the jail most of the time you will cooperate. The game is no longer about loyalty

Do you really believe that it's that black and white? That's a simpleton perspective on it.... Yes , you are right about someone cooperating with law enforcement simply because they don't want to do a bid in prison. Obviously... Take Michael DiLeonardo... He gets indicted on charges and arrested.... I maybe wrong on this part, but I think even before he knew what his bail stipulation was .... He received messages from Gambino administration that he is being shelved.... His streams of income (legal and illegal) arent coming to him or his wife and kid... simply because they are "paranoid" about information being shared.....but REALLY its because of their GREED... That is supposed to happen after someone breaks the rules, flips etc.... if something like that happens to a made member of a borgata or anyone else ..... Doing what you need to to help yourself is the furthest thing from a RAT....

I didn’t realize how deep the Springfield area is in the mob
Life I heard stories here and there and I didn’t know much until recently. Lot of big names locally for the mobster world, and lot of Italian restaurants/pizza places. The south end is still home to some Italian restaurants, and they’re good! Red Rose is one of my favorites, never tried any other places yet. Also, I am willing to bet what’s left of the western mass mafia is what got MGM to come to Springfield. They were planning on getting a better cheaper deal for more land in Palmer ma and for some reason came to Springfield instead

My Dad is DYING watching this BOZO openly speaking on this! I knew everyone in the Springfield faction until my Dad aged out 10 years ago so I don't personally know most of these new guys but DAMN doing an interview on VLAD TV???? My poor dad is yelling in Italian and he doesn't recognize this guy bc he can't bring himself to acknowledge this guy as legit! Wtf I can't either! This is a JOKE! This guy is a nobody who is dying for his 15 min! Nobody that is actually affiliated would ever say they were - that's basically a rule! Don't waste ur time watching this clown! There are great videos that cover the Springfield mafia when it actually still existed bc this trash is a desperate money grab and its obvious! A no they don't allow women to be involved at any level so right there he already outed himself! My father won't say he was affiliated to this day and I never ask. He always told me if someone says they are in the mafia you can bet ur life that are not! But whatever not my circus, not my monkeys!
