- Skincare routine care is the most important part for a woman to take care of. I think it’s the key to developing a happy-making, long-term approach to your skin.
So this got me thinking about the most important essential behaviors in my own personal skincare routine. The practices that persist throughout the year, wherever I may be. The real cornerstone that would give me the best skin possible with the fewest actions. I may write them on a tablet somewhere for posterity. These are mine:
1 - Always cleanse at night
2 - Always wear sunscreen
3 - Always protect skin from the sun
4 - Always leave blemishes alone
5 - Always use a retinoid
6 - Always sleep on your back
7 - Always eat good and healthy foods
8 - Always keep daily skin routine
9 - Moisturizer

Hi. I am 40 plus. I have recently added Vit c serum (Gosh C) in my AM routine. I am more fond of natural products like just herbs and biotique. I now plan to add retinol to my skin care routine. Do u think cleansing, spraying rose water, applying retinol and applying night cream from biotique is a good routine? Which retinol do u recommend? Also, I understand one need to apply sunscreen even if you are at home. Kindly clarify. If I add retinol in the evening/night routine trust we need to apply sunscreen in the morning routine only?

for acne do you prefer salicylic acid or benzyol peroxide for the face? and when is it best to use them if you are already using retin-a
Actually, combination of salicylic acid(2%) and Benzoyl peroxide(2.5%) is considered superior to retinol alone lately. However, if you are already using retinol, go for medical peels. Dont mix retinol with above products.

Retinol is best gotten from medical grade creams. Most cosmetic products have it in combination.
Brands i know are La Roche Posay Retinol Serum, The Ordinary Retinol 2%, Elizabeth Arden retinol capsule etc
In medical grade antiaging retinol, Reticuram lotion by Fixderma FCL range is nonirritating and works well for fine lines & blackheads too
