The cuisine in the Philippines is not very well known to the outside world, but I'm here to tell you that it's amazing! In this video, however, I try some of the most bizarre foods that you can find around the Philippines including the private parts of a cow, a small duck embryo called balt, and chicken intestines. Love the video! Though I want to point something out. Balut isn't "unfertilized". It's actually fertilized and that's why the chick is formed.
The secret of eating Balut is not looking at it. The taste is not disgusting it isn't yucky it is quite delicious and easy on the taste buds.
Yes I have tried it I first didn't like it and I didn't want to try it just because of how it looks
But when I tried it was very tasty.

8:00 You ate it from the opposite side that you eat it normally.. The part that is this hard, is the last part you either eat, or dont eat. But because its edible and helps to make you full, its also eaten.. But many open the egg on the "ducks side" and eat as much as they like. If you like rubber texture,. then you eat the whole :D

I think the proper description of a balut is a cooked fertilized duck egg not unfertilized duck embryo
You have to correct the video. Balut is fertilized duck egg or embryo. It will not have reached that physical stage if unfertilized. Unfertilized egg is simply yolk and egg white.

I once saw balut in some kind of a show and since that iam literally not eating eggs. I always imagine this disgusting embryo and my stomach just cant do even normal eggs anymore. I dont know why would anybody eat this.

Filipino don’t eat the white part? We Vietnamese, at least those who have healthy tooth, eat them all of the time. We dip them with a dip made out of lime, peppercorn and salt and eat them with Vietnamese coriander.
For those who don't know a lot about balut yet..there are different stage of balut depending on how many days it is being fertilized..for the starters..16 days is the ideal..it has a very little embryo yet..the 18 days is the most popular..while the older ones are preferred by those seeking for aphrodisiac...and if u are not fond of chewing the white part of the balut..try asking if the balut they are selling is " BALUT SA PUTI"..coz it has a tiny and softer white part..
