Salamat! I know Philippine culture and food! Pichi-pichi is so good! I used to work with all Filipinos and have a good friend from Capiz. Great people. 👍
wow, first comment, thanks to you I was encouraged to travel several countries and I watch each of your videos to learn English, I am Chilean therefore my native language is Spanish, you are a great inspiration to me, and you don't know how worth it I had when your channel was almost knocked down, at least you have a secondary account in case of any emergency, you are my inspiration as a traveler, I have traveled 20 countries and soon I will start on RUclips and I hope one day to be even half of you, a hug Drew, thanks for so much
Yes I have tried it I first didn't like it and I didn't want to try it just because of how it looks But when I tried it was very tasty. "It's not about what's on the outside, it's about what's on the inside"
8:00 You ate it from the opposite side that you eat it normally.. The part that is this hard, is the last part you either eat, or dont eat. But because its edible and helps to make you full, its also eaten.. But many open the egg on the "ducks side" and eat as much as they like. If you like rubber texture,. then you eat the whole :D
Hello dear Drew, how are you? I'm your fan from Uzbekistan. Why aren't you releasing your videos about Uzbekistan? I'm aware that you are now in this country. Thanks for the answer in advance!
🤣🤣🤣🤣 @7:30 You should eat balut more often, at least twice every week or every weekend🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 On the other hand, ever tried drinking red horse while singing karaoke's? 👍👍👍👍
Do you maybe have the address or name of the first one? Because I wanted to try this, but dont want to go to this one overcrowded place in Binondo, but much more in a smaller local place
I really miss my home! You remove my homesickness, but my mouth is really watery. Haha! Greetings from Thailand. I also make vlogs here. I miss you, Philippines. Benguet represent!
You have to correct the video. Balut is fertilized duck egg or embryo. It will not have reached that physical stage if unfertilized. Unfertilized egg is simply yolk and egg white.
I once saw balut in some kind of a show and since that iam literally not eating eggs. I always imagine this disgusting embryo and my stomach just cant do even normal eggs anymore. I dont know why would anybody eat this.
My Japanese girl friends ate balut a few days ago for the first time and they said it's not bad. So maybe balut isn't an "extreme" Filipino food at all
As he said, its all just psychological. If it really taste bad, why should they eat it. And also, I mean - in a few decades from now even other countries will not be able to afford to throw away parts of an animal that are edible.
Filipino don’t eat the white part? We Vietnamese, at least those who have healthy tooth, eat them all of the time. We dip them with a dip made out of lime, peppercorn and salt and eat them with Vietnamese coriander.
For those who don't know a lot about balut yet..there are different stage of balut depending on how many days it is being fertilized..for the starters..16 days is the ideal..it has a very little embryo yet..the 18 days is the most popular..while the older ones are preferred by those seeking for aphrodisiac...and if u are not fond of chewing the white part of the balut..try asking if the balut they are selling is " BALUT SA PUTI"..coz it has a tiny and softer white part..
I'm Filipina born and raised but I NEVER EAT ALL THOSE EXOTIC FOODS AT ALL! 😅 Not all Filipinos eat that and love that for many reasons. Some are health reasons. 😁
Could you try any of these dishes? Let me know in the comments here!!
I rlly love balut! It's like one of my favorite Filipino food
Definitely...I don't discriminate when it comes to food. If it's there to be eaten I'll eat it.

Come to Philippines! Chile is beautiful especially Patagonia and Santiago!
The secret of eating Balut is not looking at it. The taste is not disgusting it isn't yucky it is quite delicious and easy on the taste buds.
Yes I have tried it I first didn't like it and I didn't want to try it just because of how it looks
But when I tried it was very tasty.

Love the video! Though I want to point something out. Balut isn't "unfertilized". It's actually fertilized and that's why the chick is formed.
You're so brave to try them out!! I can't but it's kind of fun to watch🫣

I think the proper description of a balut is a cooked fertilized duck egg not unfertilized duck embryo
Couldn’t pay me to do this
I really miss my home! You remove my homesickness, but my mouth is really watery. Haha! Greetings from Thailand. I also make vlogs here. I miss you, Philippines. Benguet represent!
Balut is fertilized duck embryo.
YESSIRR!
“It doesn’t make you gay if you eat it”

Nah! We called them “fertilized duck egg” or “ trứng hột vịt lộn“
@@risingstar9903 thanks for the info!
Don't think I'm hungry enough to try those things. Maybe some strange plants, I'd be more willing to try.
