Another lovely father and son team and a TT-02 speed run. I just watched the same kind of video where a dad and son were doing a speed run on this Tamiya chassis. I will be buying one for myself soon too. It's so nice to see folks like you having fun like this. He seems like a very good boy too. Thanks and take care.

I was wincing hearing that lovely bodyshell being scraped along the road.
I'm in the middle of attempting TTO2 speed runs myself just now.
It does 18mph if you do nothing to it and by just changing the pinion and spur gear to 35 and 49t running a 3s pack gets you the low 50s mph.
To help keep it straight on the runs around the 50mph and above i have locked both diffs. I have just used white tack so there is no permanent damage and it can be put back to a normal diff any time you want. 8 pea size balls is all it takes as you dont want the stuff sqeezing out when your trying to screw the cover back on lol. The other thing i changed was reducing the steering movement down to 30%.
At the moment i'm using my 2nd motor/ESC from the 3 i have to work with. It's a hobbywing 5400kv motor with the a 40t pinion/49t spur with the same 3s battery which is getting to the mid 80mph.
I think i'm maxed out on the gearing, i havent been able to find anything to improve it.
The 3rd motor/ESC is a Tamiya 3.5turn 10,000kv transpeed motor and a hobbywing ESC to suit, but i dont know if i want to run a 3s pack in that as it warns no more than 7.2v which is not even a Li-po !!! I dont mind smoking the other two set-ups as they're not a lot of money but the transpeed thing is a different story. I have zero interest in making video's but i'll give you a sub to see how your getting on 👍👍👍
