You can actually just mix the mod podge with the alcohol and itll dry faster and save you a step. Also itll be thinner and actually spray from your sprayer rather than it spitting
this has to be one of the best household artificial tracks out there. I cant wait to see it all decked out with cactus tumble weeds crates and what not🍻
THIS IS NUTS!@@ That is so cool man I love how much you fit into such a small footprint with the caves and the upper levels. I made my first "scaleable mountain" out of some foam I had yesterday and i already see so many areas I could improve. Your design just took the inspiration to the next level. If I make something cool i'll try to share/ give you credit man this is epic.
Thanks man, totally appreciate it and glad it has inspired so many to create. I just finished the second track last Saturday. Check it out. I have some ideas already for some new tracks.
I love the look, and all the various lines. It’s something you won’t get bored with like the race track loops a lot of people build. Thanks for sharing!
Hey there, Aaron thanks for the reply, Moab has a serious climb called Lion's Back. pull it up on RUclips. That's what your one steep hill climb kinda reminds me of. Winter theme that's going to be sick. can't wait to see the build. Oh and by the way the Timelapse was huge. I've sat through others and people can learn from yours. I plan to make modular pieces so I can Moab around the pool and planter areas.good luck with the next course.
Hey Alex. Ok cool, I’ll check it out. I have a few house projects I have to get to but I will keep building the tracks. I appreciate the support and feedback! I am working on the finishing details of the next track and will probably work on that along with the house projects. But I am looking forward to doing a snow and mtn scenes tracks.
I have to say that you have done a tremendous job on your crawler course. I am blown away by the attention to formation of arches and formations. Bravo 👏
Wow, thanks. I appreciate that. Helps motivate me for the next track that I am working on. Should have the next video for that one out next Sunday. Just got back from a big trip and excited to jump back into it.
unbelievable how cool this track build is. i am in the process of building a course in my living room on a 4 x 8 piece of wood. i thought i was doing ok until i watched all these videos. lol. this is awesome
Wow, that is quite the compliment. Humbled. Glad you like it. I started a dedicated channel just for RC stuff and will make some updates there. I have been adding plant life details. I am also building out my scx24 with some upgrades. youtube.com/@rcredrockUT hopefully the build videos will help you out with yours.
Thanks! I’m releasing the next video of the 2nd build tomorrow. Also, the guy who ended up buying that track has a shop in Sandy UT where you can rent time on a bunch of different tracks. I’ll post his place in the next video. Thanks for the compliment. Helps motivate me.
This is absolutely a stunning build..I watched from the beginning and to see this just from cardboard and Styrofoam to what it is now is just amazing...I want it!! Subscribed!
Wow, what a trooper to view all vids. I appreciate the compliment. I am making some miniature tracks for sale to pose/store your RC and can use. They are on www rcredrock dot com
Excellent work . love the voodoos I've seen those very sculptures. you've put so much work into this hard to criticize anything you and Arnie did. But thank you so much for the content. A thin layer of thin set mortar mix painted on would've solved your issues then you could've painted with what ever you wanted. one of the best course I've ever seen. Have you climbed up lion's back yet. I'd like to see that.
Wow thanks for the compliment. This course was a learning experience for sure. I am working on a second course right now and have plans in my head for a winter theme and mtn theme. My scx24 could not do the whole course but was narrower than my Furitek cayman. The Cayman could crawl the steep hills way better. Not sure what you meant by Lions trail. IRL? Or spot on the course?
WOW, this just popped up, and it's great. I'm definitely going to check out the whole build as I am thinking about doing 1 myself. I hope it's half as nice. Great looking course.
Thanks Danny, appreciate the compliment. Took so much longer to build than I thought. But if I were to make another I think I could do it faster. Just using what works.
Wow that turned out amazing. I recently finished a cardboard/foam/plaster/paint course myself, and unfortunately painted it with a brush. I agree, next time around, spray paint is the best way to do it.
Absolutely. We found the same thing. This is fun and people that come over I show it to them and they are amazed. First question is usually asking how long it took. Haha. Thanks for the comment.
Your table is by far the best ive seen and got me really wanting to build one of my own and i hope ur not done with it and do upgrades that u see fit i qould like to see mining lights in the tunnels.
Not sure what you mean? I did a video after this one where I put in mine lights and red lights on the other side of the bridge. It is a different video than this one. ruclips.net/video/D9JPVkztbqo/видео.html
@AaronRobertson I don't paint mine because I destroy them but the layout is similar. All I use is foam and cardboard. I actually don't spend that much on foam because I control the flow really well and build layers. I'm building an outdoor one with plywood and foam
@@AaronRobertson I do not. I barely have time to RC let alone edit videos ha. I run a full time painting company and have several other hobbies. I have thought about it but just cant find the time
@@phuhque6724 I hear that, exactly why I am a couple weeks behind in posting. It takes a lot of time for sure. I fly my plane sometimes and haven't ever made a video with that. I did post one short though.
I dont know why this guy isnt using a large dollar store paint brush to apply the glue. A brush is a lot faster and easier than the dribble coming out of the sprayer. You can dibble with the brush over top same as the sprayer does. You can also use dilluted acrylic artist glue to add colour variations. Your video opening is annoying. Cant imagine why you want to listen to it every time you use it.
Noted for the music/sound. I had a track that it blended with but got copyrighted so had to remove. I may change some things up and do a dedicated RC channel and will re-edit the video. I also don’t like the spray bottle. It is what I learned from another RUclips channel but I am making a mini track now and was going to try another method but will not do the brush as suggested.
I guess since I run my 1/10s just outside in my rock garden with a vodka &...., some homegrown, and my Wifi sterio headphones I cant' beguruge a guy moving it all indoors so you can also have a flat screen playing. :-D
One of the best courses I've seen, so much drive time and so many features - looks amazing 🤩
Thanks so much. Comments like this help motivate me to finish my next track.

It was a journey. When I make another it should go much faster with all I learned on this one. Have a photo or video of yours online somewhere?
That track is friggin amazing looking. Great job!
