Thanks for checking out my (Daewoo) Trax! I figure since it is under warranty that Chevy will get it all straightened out. That being said, I totally would have gone with the Corolla Cross if it wasn't for that hump when you fold the seats down that makes it bad for carrying dog crates and the fact that you need to buy the top XLE model for heated seats which then gives you that fake leather that I don't want. I'll post updates here as Chevy fixes the goofy flaws it has, though, if anyone is interested in that. Here's hoping it will behave and be a good part of many Shiba Inu's freedom rides!

GM will address those glitches and for 21K base price with safety features most OEMs don't offer pedestrian detection with automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, front LED headlights. Safety is important and GM nailed it for budget minded consumers........
I like Toyota, but I’m seeing way too many of these sellout comments. Like really?!?! Not even a 2020 RAV4?!? You’d pay that much for a Toyota made in an earlier decade?

I love it, but my only complaint is a major one: the wet timing belt. Ford has had major issues with the 3 cylinder in their EcoSport due to the belt deteriorating and clogging the oil pickup.
The 1.2 L engine has been on the market for 5 years, no reports of wet timing belt issues. The wet timing belt in GMs 1.2 L is made by Continental. High quality, tons of research and development! Ford motor company use a belt made by Dayco, very poor quality for this application! They make great snowmobile belts.
I purchased the 1LT in metallic blue trim two weeks ago and I can say that I have no issues with it to this day (I drive it every day to and from work). It was my biggest worry buying this thing, to be honest. Doing some research and seeing that Continental was behind the design made me feel a little bit better. GM (and Continental) say it's good for 150,000 miles but I'll change it at 100,000 to be safe.

Considering that the UAW is talking about striking again in order to leach even more from the hand that feeds them, I'm not really interested in supporting those lazy crybabies. I bought one of these three weeks ago, same color but in the Activ trim. I really like it so far. I’ve been driving it easy during its break-in period using hypermiling techniques and achieved 38 mpg combined on my first tank. Other owners on the FB group for these are reporting better mpg than what the window sticker is claiming as well. Probably smart of Chevy to claim lower mpg than actual so customers end up being satisfied with their actual results. If they advertised 38mpg, which is possible, and your average owner never achieved that they would not be happy.

What happened with Mahk? And why is he bad?
(I'm kinda out of the loop here.)
Edit; Nevermind, I googled it and found out.
I wondered what happened to that guy too... I'm almost afraid to look.

Wet timing belts are sketchy
Wet timing belt like the ford 1L engine is a awful idea and will end badly.
And the Chevy Dealerships are already cutting their throats by tons of dealership "add ons". It is a nice car but Chevy making them over priced. Just waiting for the dealerships to get their karma.
Overpriced and the fuel economy is nothing special -- must be a crossover. And of course it's Generic Motors, which keeps me well-away from the dealership.
Its all new for 2024 in 2023.
Wet timing belt 🤔☹️
Im surprised, this doesnt look bad. The older Trax are ugly and if im not mistaken I think there was a Saturn suv that was based off of it
@Jonathan-mp7xg THATS THE ONE! I knew it was one of those SUV's
@Jonathan-mp7xg I'm aware of that. My mind lumps them together cause they look very similar
So Chevy cool with losing 30% of their sales because they don’t have 4x4?
There's absolutely not a better value than the 2024 Trax 1RS that I just bought. If you don't like it, then by all means, buy the foreign model and cry when repairs are sky high! I buy American made ! I'm very satisfied with my new Trax! Stop criticizing it. I reiterate, if you don't like it.... don't buy it.
It's not American made though, it was built in South Korea.
How much was your car?
@@juliegill9322 $23,840 plus tax, title, and plates.
@@aenoymotors wow. I'm looking at a 1RS for 24,090, before taxes, etc.
The entire Chevrolet line, the seats suck👈🏼
1.2 engine is wayyy to small not even my 1994 honda civic has a engine that small plug its not a pos.
When you think your getting an suv until you get in it and its just a glorified car.
A 1.2L engine and only 32 mpg absolutely awful.
As much flack as Korean cars get, I’m glad GM is bringing in Daewoos we’d otherwise not get. Yes this car is ugly and I would never buy it but still cool to see Daewoo here. If only they’d make something like they did in the 2000s….
