@@michaelmiller2599 we’ve been on boats with them and for us it’s not worth the extra gear and strain on the rig . We typically avoid these types of Anchorages but we’re a bit unlucky here 😂
Boy I am rethinking my plans to sail beyond my comfort zone, love the honesty though! Question, is that a GB flag flying off your transom, where is the Canadian flag?
@@Sv_SeaDuctress Haha yes this anchorage definitely had us rethink our cruising plans for a minute 😂 We fly the old Canadian Flag , pre World war 2. A lot of classic boats fly this flag back in Bc but we rarely see people flying it elsewhere .
@ I’m talking about when you pull in some chain and put a line to the chain with a rolling hitch, let the chain back out, & lead it to the stern of the boat. Then take up the slack on the line turning the bow into the swell.
This was the hardest episode to watch. I do t get seasick but I was freaking close and I was on my couch lol 😂. Way to show the other side to sailing!!! 🤮 🤢
I think your channel is the best at portraying real world sailing experiences.

@@afriesen72 Thank you 😊 makes the good moments even better when you go through the rough ones first
Just curious why you never got a flopper-stopper? - it saved me in many anchorages - keep smiling and enjoying 👍🏼

@@sailingsitka that’s cool, never knew this, and I live right by the border in Buffalo, NY
Very cool! We can’t wait to sail to New York someday down the line!
Just curious. Does anyone use a hammock while sailing and sleeping.
We have a hammock on board for then we are at anchor 😄 while sailing no, but we do sleep in it at times yes!
Have you ever tried a anchor bridal?
Yup, we use a bridle every time we anchor 😄 works like a charm!

Oh! No, we’ve never attempted that, your comment makes more sense now haha gotcha!
@ try it next time in a rolly anchorage.
@ will definitely try it , always good to add some new techniques to keep the boat as comfortable as possible.
