It looks so real! you could have people standing far enough back on the background to adjust their relative size and have some really convincing photos
Couple more of them and you could have a RED BULL air race! Beautiful 330, and an excellent demonstration of talent in flying. Thanks for sharing Horst! Merry Christmas!
Bonjour Horst, The sound is also XXL, wonderful ! We were spoiled by your quality videos this year, hoping that continuous. Nice Christmas time cheers Horst, Christian.
My ... My ... My ... ! What a great and fantastic aerial flight display and maneuvers on this extra large RC piston driven aircraft and really looking forward for more of this aerial flight displays doo on your next channel on RUclips soon again. Thanks so much. Regards. From The Flight Deck
_Thank you for your great comment!_ 👍 Since the pilot lives in another country, which is 500 miles away from me, it will be difficult to catch him again for another video. *Here is another flight from 2018 >>>* ruclips.net/video/jXKHOAAa1HE/видео.html
So COOL. Best looking RC airplane I've ever had the pleasure to see and hear. Thank You for your excellence. Very well done. The paint job is awesome too, as well all the rest of it.
Absolutely flawless build, but I agree with Justin (see below)-the way he prop starts the engine without any obvious means of preventing the plane from moving forward is really alarming. Beautiful landing, not sure why some are criticizing his flying.
Amazing build. How was it shaped? 3D printed molds? Slightly different shape and a person could fit in it. Wouldn't need to be bigger. Something to think about.
Thanks! 👍 If you are on Facebook, you can see some photos of how it's been build. facebook.com/david.kocjancic.7/media_set?set=a.269710626517729&type=3
Beautiful job on the build! It looks about the same size as my Godfrey 40% Extra300. 😉👍🏼 Sounds like the engine is missing on a cylinder or something at times. 😬 GREAT job behind the camera as ALWAYS my friend!!! Merry CHRISTmas to ya my friend!!!
Excellent video it almost seems like the engine was loading up a little bit on the dive at first but after a couple of passes it started ringing out and then I thought THIS sounds ALMOST like the full size extra lol definitely a beast
The only reason all cars don't have Wankel , is the fuel consumption and a "small" motor renovation around each 40.000-50.000 Km. (Mazda rx-7) The power and ""all the way" moment is really strong.
That would be me... if I had money. : P I started out, and learned on large scale. First heli was a HK600. First plane was a 1300mm mustang. In my opinion, large scale is far easier to fly.
Scratch build full size guys doing that over on www.biplaneforum.com/ lot of them are 10 year or longer projects. Or this skybolt first flight ruclips.net/video/m5N_iQEWJtc/видео.html
You know I have a question. Often with the giant scale videos the pilots take off on the paved portion but land in the grass. Is there any particular reason for that.
Grass and soils are soft which causes less bounce and also adds friction to slow the plane down (avoiding an unstable wing drop and resulting rash to the aircraft air frame..
Easier to keep straight on any tail wheel aircraft even full size like a pitts prefer landing on grass on pavement lot of rudder inputs to keep it from ground looping.
In addition to the two correct comments above, these models do not have brakes like a full scale aircraft. The large props and powerful motors even at idle make it difficult to slow these down on paved runways. Most guys that must land this type of plane on a hard surface will actually kill the motor within the last few feet of altitude before touch down to avoid the thrust at idle.
Oh WOW! Only thing I would say to do better is put a Moki 400cc 5 cyl. in that.... I can only imagine how awesome 1/2 scale must be, though! I used to fly a 1/4 scale P-40 with a Genoah G-38 in it, and that thing was just as reliable as the real thing. I fly a friend's P-40, it wasn't mine, but he trusted me not to crash it. It was a piece of cake to fly compared to tiny 48" wingspan models with glow engines, although I had those down also at the time, only ever having incidences with radio interference at the time with an AM radio. I'm sure today's radios are much better... (this was in the late 80's mind you....) AWESOME plane!
RCScaleAirplanes Thanks. I checked it out. They have 2 engines and they fit them for different applications. A bit pricey, but I'd rather have one of these than a jetcat turbine for about the same price.
That engine sounds amazing! It's like a mini Merlin when heard from head on, but then when heard from the rear, it sounds like a two-stroke!
_Thank you for your kind comment, which I really appreciate._ 👍😉
Exactly
You can always tell the sound of a wankel engine. Plenty of power, torque, and noise. Great video.
Thank you for the compliment which I really appreciate. Glad you enjoyed it!

Absolutely FANTASTIC. What a plane, what an engine, amazing job from the owner, big respect. Love it!
Thanks for the video!

That is one superb plane - BIG! Plenty of power... very nice flight.
Season's greetings Horst and thanks for all your great videos.

It almost starts itself. That is a beautiful setup.
_Thank you for your kind comment._ Yes ... that engine is awesome! 👍😉
Is that an actual RC engine or is it like a snowmobile or motorcycle engine

Merry Christmas. Thank you for all the nice videos you share with us :-)
OMG! What a BEAUTIFUL aircraft! The only negative thing I can come up with , it isn't mine!! FANTASTIC FLYING and a magnificent c

Wow, must be some process to scratch build and certify such a beast! Big thumbs up!
*THANKS !!!* 👍😉

Grazie David and Horst, almost as full-size !!!

I fully agree about how he started the engine ... it's an absolute *NO GO*
Beautiful paint scheme and very nice build
Thanks! 👍
@@RCScaleAirplanes your welcome Sir
In the 1960ties... you'd expect 30Hp in a car... smal or pré war...
Very nice plane! Well flown!
Best camera work if seen for awhile! Good job
_Thank you for the compliment, Ron. Much appreciated !!!_ 👍😎
Это классно!Пилотаж как у настоящего,правдоподобный,а не как у 3д.Приятно смотреть.Браво пилоту мастеру!
Totally beautiful plane wow amazing flying too Excellent job..thank you..
Would like to see the engine on it

that sounds brilliant!!!!!
like half a mazda 13B twinrotor
Great flight...but all the popping, banging and misfire?? sounds would have me worried. I hope it’s ok,
very beautiful friend
Amazing! Nice flying and Amazing Extra300
I was like. "a Wankel" wtf
Then I was like. Damn "a Wankel"
No shortage of power in that plane. Beautiful flight!
Such an amazing plane and sound. Just lovely
Grat build and flight. But way the engines sound like misfire some times?
Thank you. Yes ... some misfire occurred, but it sounded good to me 👍😉
It's so smooth and precise
Beautiful looking plane! You should be proud..
Such a cool sounding engine. Well flown too.
Good thing that nothing happened when he started the engine. Otherwise, it would've messed him up. Always have someone standing on the tail.
Justin Owen my first thought as well...
Agree with you. He appears to be a novice. Pretty nervous flier, engine doesn't sound like it is tuned either.
Ben Lann it’s a rotary that’s how they sound
at this scale I imagine the brakes are pretty significant
@@ferrarikingdom
This plane doesn't have brakes.
Flown with a great deal of skill and confidence. You have both my respect and envy. AMA 8855

Skill is in the flying. You may prefer big planes but look at THIS guy,, in the snow, on a DIESEL engine. ruclips.net/video/PuS3r-rQ9rM/видео.html
Ciao ragazzi molto bene ho amato quel piano molte congratulazioni e un grande saluto a tutti da Buenos Aires 😃👍👍.
Wonder why these builders don't try their hand at building full size aircraft?
Because they don’t have to worry about all the FAA crap.........oh wait...

Nice colour scheme, looks the part.
Any bigger and the pilot could get in it himself. Impressive, very impressive.

Grazie 1000 ! 👍
Could you hover this plane under this power?
_Probably it can_
Why is no one on the tail?????
Great plane, thanks for sharing :)
That engine needs to be a warbird, say a Bearcat, sounds great!

sounds like its sputtering every once in a awhile ??
so smooth

Whys the engine is so choked??
it's a Wankel engine. No pistons !!!
What a sound.
Very Cool Plain
wich the price of this model? +-
18 dollars even
That's the trouble with Wankels,, they're so hard to start. :*)
Plenty of excess power there.
hope it plows in!!
hope over your head !

I just watched a video of an actual man taking off in a plane this size.
