I am a proud owner of 2 Kamaka Ukes . They are so beautiful and a joy to play, with an unmatched tone. Thank you for this great clip. Chris Sr. voice is fantastic; I could listen to him all day long. And of course, some fine picking from the trio as well.
Seriously, this trio should release an album!
This brings me so much Joy! I inherited the Kamaka name from my Dad Bla Pahinui. I feel so much love and so much pride watching this video. I play classical music...not the same as Hawaiian, but I try to bring my soul into my music. I wish grampa Gabby would be happy when I play music. Thank you so much for this beautiful song that reminds me of my family!
First time i saw your dad play was at Waimanalo after our canoe races. It was your dad, Uncle Martin and your Uncle Cyril. This was 76 - 77. Your dad was incredible. Playing a right hand strung guitar, upsidownand holding chords upsidedown. Wow. And tearing it up. One of the best shows i ever saw. Then Country Comfort played, then your gramps played. It was a free concert. Amazing.
綺麗な曲ですね〜❤
一人で旅に出ると、こんな景色に遭遇することもあるのですね👍🤙
Aloha to the Hawaii ukulele masters. Beautiful video.
Nailed it. Great tone.
Oh I cried. This was gorgeous! Thank you for sharing this.
It took me back home! Really moving.I guess I better start practice again
This wonderful! Kamaka - besides being the oldest uke maker on the planet (& in Honolulu) makes the finest ukuleles available. I own 4 vintage Kamakas bought from private sellers and the Kamakas treat me like ohana (family). And Jake (who plays Custom Kamakas) has to be an alien, or 'droid, or...something superhuman. It's just not fair what he does with a ukulele!!!
My father recently passed and in his home was a vintage Soprano Kamaka ukulele. It was purchased in 1981. I just bought a hard case and new strings. I’m hoping my grandson tries to learn.
Absolutely magnificent cousins. I fell in love with the ukulele and slack key guitar while visiting Maui. Hawaii is a special place.
Soooo beautiful and calming.
歌もお上手ですね!声も素敵✨

World number one ukulele!
Number one production uke. So many custom builders making art. I have a concert model from' 71-'72. If i could afford it i would probably get a G string, maybe a nice custom Sonny D, not sure.
