As much as I love Ohta-san (and his son), Jake Shimabukuro, Brittni Paiva, and Troy Fernandez, if I could steal somebody's talent, it would probably be Peter Moon's. I love the way he plays.

Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Dwight Kanae on guitar. I remember being a little boy and walking past Dwights house and he would be in his yard playing. I would stop and watch for hours. Later as i got older i would see him playing with differenf groups in Kaneohe. He was my first music hero. Then i saw Kalapana play with C&K at the shell i think Summer played too. I watched Mackey and i was hooked. I still see Swight play from time to time. I would give anything to watch Macky play one more time.
We were so fortunate to have the Peter Moon Band play at our wedding! He is an extremely talented musician!
As far as I'm concerned, Peter Moon was the best ukulele artist out there. He was the ground breaker for the virtuosos that perform today and will always be the inspiration on that instrument for me.

Peter Moon got the real essence of Hi'ilawe from his mentor and legend Gabby Pahinui. Peter Moon has the "soul" of the late Gabby and the "soul" of Hawaiian music. RIP Peter Moon! He is also a legend in his own right.
Peter Moon-master of Ukulele and all stringed instruments! Love his rendition of the classic Hi'ilawe. Long live Peter Moon! RIP and God bless his soul.

I'm hoping I can get permission from his family to post the instructional parts of the video on RUclips. As far as I know, "The Magic of Ukulele" was available only on VHS.

I'm not aware of any other commercially available instructional video by Peter Moon. I know he gave ukulele lessons in his later years. Sure wish I could have taken some of them. Ohta-san has some nice videos in which you can clearly see his fingers, but he speaks Japanese in them. I haven't watched many other instructional videos, so I don't know which ones are great.
