I did mid muffler delete and CAI.. It's perfect, quiet as stock down low but better than a 3.5 Z up top. Sounds very serious near and above VTEC. But lately I've been thinking I want add one thing. A cutout 🤤a "loud" button. I'm going to try and put mine after the stock resonator though. I hate rasp and this engine sounds so better without it.
@@Evening-Sky Nope, I think most people would think it's too quiet but I like having the option. Still makes some noise and definitely turns heads by vtec.
@@Xenirie you might really like the Dynomax resonator. About $50 too. I have vids on my channel going from stock to just a mid muff delete, then to stage 3 with the res swap, then 3rd cat out. Happy to answer any questions
@@pegleggreg3627 awesome thanks! Yeah maybe a new resonator and then cutout to straight pipe from there... I'm good with where it's at for now but the future's bright 😎
I have the same thing except there is so much drone because I didn’t have a pipe attached to it extending to the back which I will do now tbh after like 3 months without one
@@pegleggreg3627 I found out there was hella drone cuz a mechanic was lazy and welded my muffler to my suspension.🤦🏾♂️ got that fixed and put a little downpipe facing down on the tip of valve cutout and it’s sounding a lot better
Do you get any drone with it open btw? What RPMs? I’ve read you can put a little silicone sealant on the edges of the valve for better sealing and less leak
Valve open yes there was a lot of drone at all rpm. That’s why I like the valve because I can open and close it if I want it to be loud or if I was just cruising
Hey bro do you know how you connected the wires from inside to outside the car? Battery and just ran the wire all the way from the bottom of the car to the exhaust?
Yes I went from the valve, above the heat shielding and hugged the firewall as close as possible to make sure I was far away from any moving parts. Then just used some circle taps and connected to the battery
@@-kjlifestyle- thanks for helping out, G! I was able to hook it up through the cabin. There are some grommets under the rear seat which connect to the outside. It’s protected well, and minimizes wire exposure to the outside. I put my valve where the mid muffler is btw, so it was right under the rear seats. I’ll upload something too, this was a dope mod. Silent when you need it, nice volume when you feel like a hooligan!
@@-kjlifestyle- 2:31 also noticed, you a drone pipe there correct? How did it help to cut out the drone resonance? Without any mufflers it would have had a lot of drone in a wide RPM range. So did you calculate for a specific frequency range? And how did it help? Just that small range or did it cure the drone over a wide range?
So with valve closed it goes through stock mid muffler and rear 2 mufflers and with it open it goes through a straight pipe that just ends around where the trunk is? So the exhaust gases wouldn’t come out of the tips if the valve is open? Hopefully I asked my question correctly lol.
Yes, I understand what you are asking haha. Yea it dumps down towards the ground behind the rear wheel, there are some fumes that come out of the tips even with the valve open. When the valve is open it’s not like the other side is closed, they are both open if you get what I’m saying
@@-kjlifestyle- ohhh ok thanks for clearing that up, i thought it goes only one way or the other. Sounds sick. Im surprised you had room to fit another pipe there, no rattling?
Make sure you buy a valve that is the same diameter as your exhaust pipe, if not you can use adapters. As long as you have clearance from the valve to the ground it should work!
I actually was able to do it with my father and his friend at the shop! Something like this may go for $300 due to the intricate bends, it’s all custom
Ur dad a real one for starting it off for u not everyone has a chance to work on they’re cars with there fathers enjoy it and make it last bro 💪🏽💯
Well said man, very grateful!!🤞🏽
Dam I need this. Best of both worlds.

Does the car feel faster with the valve open or closed, reason I ask is im curious if the lack of back pressure causes it to feel slower.
Feels a little faster with the valve closed to be honest!

Valve or valves?
Singular valve
Where'd you buy the valve cutout/is it legal?
Amazon! And I passed inspection. If you drive by a cop in a state where exhausts are illegal it’s just a click of a button
