I strongly agree that just because there's money in a category doesn't mean you have to sell it. It took me a very long time to get into reselling because I started with clothes, which aren't interesting to me. I mostly sell dolls and collectibles now, and even though I don't make as much profit per item as some people do with reselling clothing, I won't sell anything if I don't care enough about it to list it.
Yes! You gotta figure out what is going to motivate you to source, photograph, list, etc. You and I are opposites haha. I think I would quit reselling if I had to resell dolls and collectibles. But I'm glad you found your niche!

Thank you for the tips on different sourcing spots. There were some things I had never considered. My main inventory is the stuff you were talking about trying or not doing. I sell very little clothing, simply because I know nothing about fashion. But I always seem to glean great information from you.
All great points. I am directing my store more towards vintage items and I find that for my particular items I am looking for I am mainly able to source on Ebay!! I find lots and I stock the auctions. I also check Haulsale, Auctions4U on RUclips, as well as Donatella Botolino on RUclips and Hibid. I don't think I will be sourcing outside the house much this winter, which is great for my health to stay away from the public. Becky if you aren't subscribed to Donatella and Tee on RUclips you should b/c they will be having amazing shoes jewelry purses sometimes that you can buy. A lot of resellers buy from them. They buy storage units and estate sales in bulk to sell to resellers at the auctions they have almost daily.
I love watching your videos, would you ever consider removing the music for those of us with auditory issues? I'm sorry to ask, the music makes it difficult.
I turn on closed captions sometimes if I'm waiting in Dr's office or something similar. You miss her voice but it's an alternative so you can get the info in her videos that have background music.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention! I will add captions to this right now. The funny thing is, I usually don't have music in my videos, but have gotten requests to add music. There is no decision that will make everyone happy. But I will definitely refrain from having very much music in the future!
I love the idea of taking a risk on learning about different categories within reselling! My parents are recently retired and working on cleaning out allllll of their boxes and bins. My mom sends me pictures of random items all the time. She does all the work in packing and what not, and I get to learn a new category!
Hey Becky!! I would really love your advice. I sent out Teva sandals and they were NOT broken. Buyer sent a pic broken and I contacted poshmark…. I’m just so confused
I have the same Harry Potter top that I thrifted for $1! I'm also a huge HP nerd. I actually met my husband while waiting in line at the midnight release for the final installment of HP&TDH in 07. Hugs from one Potter geek reseller to another 🤗⚡❤️
