Nice choice! Really hope you enjoy it. We've had this tent for 3 yrs and still love it. Great quality and customer service. Condensation hasn't been an issue/very minimal even in western PA humidity. Yes, it packs a bit longer than others but it's not difficult at all once you bring both sets of the struts together and roll. It works great if you can carry it on the outside of your pack. Looking forward to seeing how this works out for you.

In 22 I want to go with this tent or the Double Rainbow LI. And am finally ready to go Dyneema. And TarpTent quality has always been superior. Hope to see you two on the trail soon.

We have three of Henry’s tents (a Squall 2, and two Aeon Li’s), I think you will really love it! Tarptents customer service is second to none IMO!

I don't see it. There's far more things to break with those unnecessary struts, I understand the vestibule is larger but the inside just isn't. Technically you're supposed to sleep head to toe in this tent. You could see she had no room at her head when she laid down - the head room was at her feet. Simpler is better at this level of tent in my opinion. Thanks for the vid. Cheers to you both

Inside feels larger from what I can tell, it might not be but with the larger vestibule having things in that area makes this a more desirable tent than the duplex for me.
Duplex is a good tent overall but after a dozen holes in it, it was time to try something new out, as of right now I’d say we made the right choice as this is a better tent in my opinion. Thanks for watching

The struts serve for more ventilation purpose / less condensation . That’s the reason for the Struts.

I had one but stopped using it. It’s a real pain to pack up because of the struts.

    • @baskets8429

      Oh bummer
Yea it looks like it packs longer and seem much larger than Zpacks

@@baskets8429 it’s not that bad. The struts fold and then it rolls up neatly into the sack. It was confusing at first but after a while not hard to pack up

Tarptent really lacks in pockets. It should have come WITH 8 stakes min for good setup !!!
Needs to be set tite.... Quick sloppy won't cut it !!! I'm going back to a BA or MSR or Nemo
Peace and keep on rocking the free world ☺️

Some stakes is better than zero stakes that Zpacks provides, I’m hoping to try this thing before winter, so far it’s good
