    Thank you so much!! I got my screw out, thanks to this video! Other ppl suggested tools and even burning the plastic. This was the most reasonable!!! DJI Mini 4 is up and ready👍🤙

    This video was a great help! I couldn’t get my nail clippers to cut the plastic back around the screw. I had to use a pair of robogrip pliers to chew away at the top of the plastic until I could grab the screw. Fixed! Now off to an Air bnb shoot. Thanks for the tip.

    Thank you!!! Just used this technique to remove the screw. Local computer repair shops wanted to charge $50+ 😂😂

    I could not get it using the nail clippers, luckily I had a Dremel tool designed for trimming my dog's nail. I used a disc to slowly remove the plastic away from the screw head. Sounds like this is a problem with the DJI Mini 3. I replaced all of the blades and everything went fine until I got to the last one, and of course that screw stripped.

    I stripped 2 screws on a prop change a few months ago..i just contacted DJI and they apologised and told me to send it back to them..they replaced the slightly damaged props ,replaced the screws ...AND sent me a brand new mini 3 pro battery as an apology. (i did explain to them that this was their issue and not mine..the 'factory' person or machine had overtightened the prop screws on manufacture)

    I took a chance with a local watchmaker thinking that tiny, stripped screws should be a common issue in watch repairing. I brought my Mini 3 Pro to him, which at this time, had just one prop still attached and for which the screw head completely stripped. He immediately took my drone to his work bench that was behind him so I could not see what he was doing. It took him less than one minute to extract the stripped screw. He refused payment because there was less than 60 seconds work. Bottom line, it appears that there is a low-cost alternative to doing the work yourself that has the advantage of removing the risk to causing damage.

      Initially I following the method shown in the video. Then I saw your comment and did the same. The watchmaker had variety of screwdrivers and he unscrewed in front of me in seconds, also took no money. Thanks🙏🏻

    Why do these screws strip so easily? Is there a more robust replacement option for the screw itself, i.e., just something of higher quality?

    I've broken the screw holder pin thingy. Do I need a whole new arm?

      DJI service centre would be the best option.

    Do not use the screwdriver DJI supplies. Get a high quality PH0 screwdriver. It might cost you, but it's better than going through this process

    I managed to remove it from this video, (thank you very much DRONE MANTRA!) but the propellers on the Z axis have a gap from top to bottom and when the others are super tight and the screw that I put in moves a little further to stay the same then I won't be able to take

    No concerns about getting pieces in the motor?

    • @DroneMantra
      @DroneMantra  Год назад

      It’s a hard plastic, just need to blow the air time to time if required. It did not jam the motor in my case.

      @@DroneMantra ok. gr8! I have 3 screws from the factory install that are not budging.

    You sure we're not making a mistake there at 4:00, where we put the screws onto the shaft without the prop 'to check' ? If we then immediately remove those to fit the actual prop, have we not already broken the threadlock seal that is the entire reason new screws are provided with props !? I'd say - don't check they fit - if they came with the DJI props they will fit. Just go straight to fitting new props, tighten once, and leave !

    I think the screws tool with propellers is bad. It wasn’t really fit at all. It has happened to the Mini 2.

    Stop using the cheap-ass screwdriver they supply with the drone & use a real screwdriver. This will reduce the likelyhood of stripping the screw head. 🦘😎👍

    • @DroneMantra
      @DroneMantra  Год назад

      Yeah, we need to get better one. DJI supplied screw driver is not reliable.

    • @martingruffalump5484
      @martingruffalump5484 11 месяцев назад

      The horrible wee driver is a Phillips and the screws are Japanese Industry Standard - jst not compatible!!! get a JIS 00 and ull have the right tool and no more stripped heads. a lot of JIS 00 come with a plastic clutch to prevent over torqueing on reassembly. it would have been much safer cutting a slot with a dremel or even a mini hacksaw and using a suitable flat driver to undo the screw - well done getting it done tho!! 🙂🙃😊 happy droning!!@@DroneMantra
