Yes and I’m pretty sure they will try again To release The DVD this time with The director cut And PT boomer in the movie After they finally finish it as the 25th anniversary
According to IMDb, actress Laura Bower, who voiced Young Tasha, died six months ago at the age of 45 after a long battle with breast cancer on May 20, 2024! I found out that information just a few days ago!
Thomas: "Morning, Henry, what's the matter?" Henry: "I've got--(SNIFFS)--boiler ache." Thomas: "And I'm collecting one, two, three, four, five, six trucks, a special Island of Sodor coal for you!" Henry: "Oh, thank you, Thomas. Special coal will make me feel--(SNEEZES)--much better!" Thomas: "But I wish I could make Mr. Conductor feel better, too, by finding him!"
On a scale of 1 to 10 out rate, I would rate the casting for the voice acting a 9/10. Because Percy🟢 and James🔴 felt very miscasted. It’s so obvious that they sound like women. But these women didn’t sound like male characters. It’s just a British accent. Pretty edgy just to hear it:/
4:02 Diesel 10: “Now, I’ve come back to find a lost steam engine. I’m gonna destroy her, and dominate you. And then, you’ll be nothing but useless scrap, right Pinchy?”
Thomas: "And you're being bossy, Gordon. Now, please excuse me. I'm meeting Mr. Conductor. He's looking after us while Sir Topham Hatt takes a much needed holiday."
2:27 Toby: “I’m sorry you two, Diesel heard every word you said. I’m going after him to see what he does next, you’d better carry on and get the mail delivered.”
2:06 James: “Hey Mr. C, why do you look so tired? Is it because I’m red? Diesel says red is a very tiring colour, but Mr. C, red looks so nice against the snow. (Gasps) It’s not me, is it?”
Thomas: "Oh, Mr. Conductor, are you all right?" Mr. Conductor: "Yes, Thomas, but sometimes everything happens at once. I have to see Sir Topham Hatt to get my orders right away. The journey from Shining Time keeps getting bumpier and bumpier." Thomas: "Does it?"
Those are my headcanon voices for Henry, Gordon, Percy, Toby and Harold! I also love Thomas and Bertie's VAs too (I find the VAs in the CGI series to be overrated in my opinion except for a few like John Hasler as Thomas for example). Susan Roman doesn't seem to fit James, but her line deliveries are great! I only wish Michael Angelis was kept for him even in the final cut. I feel that Kevin Frank is sorta 'under-appreciated' for his character voices (Neil Crone is still my favorite VA from the cast, but still). I love that echoey sound effect he gave to Harold as he is up in the sky and has to shout from above w/ no walls.
James: "What engine?" Percy: "What legend?" Henry: "Of an engine whose magic makes her more powerful than Diesel will ever be. That's why he wants to find her." Percy: "Then we'd better find her first!" James: "Leave it to the big engines, Percy!" Thomas: "Little Engines can do big things, especially when they have nice blue paint like me!"
James: "Wobbly wheels!" Thomas: "Poppy pistons!" James: "Thomas, I should have collected Mr. Conductor!" Gordon: "James is right, little Thomas. Collecting Mr. Conductor is an important job, hmm? Important is big. James is a big engine, hmm?" James: "Ooh!" Gordon: "You, Thomas, are small! Small, small, small, teenie, weenie, weenie, weenie, and I, I'm a big blue engine who knows everything! Ha ha ha!" Thomas: "Bossy sprockets! All that steaming has gone to your funnel!"
Thomas: "Mr. Conductor, but what happened to your sparkle?" Mr. Conductor: "I don't know, Thomas. I'll just have to sleep on that." Thomas: "On your sparkle?" Mr. Conductor: "No, Thomas, on the problem of what happened to it."
John Bellis was originally hired to voice Thomas but the test audience disapproved and Bellis was replaced by Eddie Glen in the final cut of the film. He is still credited in the movie as transportation co-ordinator.
When I first watched Thomas and the Magic Railroad many years ago I though that there would more characters like Edward, Duck, Donald Douglaus, Bill, Ben. Oliver and the rest of the characters but unfortunely that never happened, plus I was expect to see Gordon, Henry, James, Percy and Toby at the end of the movie with Thomas and Lady.
Yeah, it’s pretty clear that the studios behind this movie, seemed to have no idea who Thomas the Tank Engine is, considering the minimal representation. Also, the reason Edward wasn’t in the film is because they failed to finish his model on time.
Director’s cut cast: John Bellis: Thomas Michael Angelis: James, Percy & Dodge Patrick Breen: Henry & Splatter Keith Scott: Diesel 10 & Gordon Doug Lennox: P.T. Boomer
The voices seem good, but here’s my fan made Thomas - Will Friedle Percy - Scott Menville James - Dave Foley Gordon - Jim Cummings Toby - Bumper Robinson Henry - Peter Sallis Lady - Susan Egan Dodge and Splatter - Clancy Brown Diesel 10 - Tim Curry

Two weird things about this movie. First of all, I hate James and Percy’s voice because their voice by women instead of men. Second of all, I can’t believe Edward wasn’t in this movie and all the other engines.
Colin Feore's Toby voice is perfectly toned. He made Toby sound old and wise. And I like it.
7:16 Henry: “Oh, thank you, Thomas. Special Coal will make me feel much better.”
7:11 Henry: “My smoke box doesn’t feel sunny, it feels stuffed up.”
