Appreciate a Batman fan actually portraying Daredevil's villains properly. Recognizing the similarities between the rogues galleries while also acknowledging that such similarities aren't as big as they initially appear, and that none are rip-offs.
One thing I will say: Kingpin totally does go after Matt Murdock when he knows his identity. But he's more like a cat playing with a mouse. He doesn't want it to end. So he keeps his knowledge of DD's identity secret and constantly sabotages his life. In the last two runs, however, had Kingpin forget DD's secret identity entirely because of the children of the Purple Man.

      @leopardtree2249 Год назад +1

I would say when frank miller was finished writing batman and daredevils is when the similarities were being shown. Other than that before none of it was really that similar as batman himself isn’t really a original concept as he’s kind of like a ninja tbh. Another thing is daredevil actually has powers but after the netflix show media fans believed he was just blind and able to do those things too

Honestly, I always see Bullseye to be similar to Deadshot, more so than the Joker. Sure, both of them aren't similar, but I always see them having some similar trait, due to both of them having gimmicks that involve aiming things, shooting things, or being a marksman ( With Deadshot using guns and Bullseyes using anything to throw with perfect range ), both wearing costume that represent their theme of a target, and both of them seem to work for anyone as a assassin, contract killer, or a mercenary.
To me, Bullseye is always the equivalent to Deadshot for Daredevil.

I have to agree with your Nr.1 pick, Kingpin really is the best Daredevil villain if not the greatest mobster villain across comic books!
He can be absolutely scary, but he can also be somewhat sympathetic too. Like the only thing I think you missed is his unique relationship with his wife and son.
He's basically a completely different man when he's around them, gentle and kind. However unlike a lot of characters this isn't an act and he genuinely loves his family.
I find that a fascinating juxtaposition.

"He could probably turn a feather into a deadly projectile"
Ha, right as the end of the Joker/Bullseye comparisons, I see what you did there ^^
(woulda been a perfect opportunity to use the "Hello, Vinnie. It's your Uncle Bingo. Time to pay the check" clip from the 89 Batman...)
Glad to see you upload some tome 5's, I'm far from being as big of a Marvel fan than I am of DC (I know you can be a fan of both, but then you can't get as deep in the lore and read every run from every great writer, as you can when you focus on one of the big 2), but Daredevil is one of the few I've encountered several times since I'm a big Punisher fanboy.
His role in "Punisher kills the Marvel universe" was important to me, since that was the first time I encountered, back when I was a teenager.
Then in *"The Punisher: Confederacy of Dunces"* of course, this one never fails to make me laugh... he's pretty much the one superhero that Frank Castle kinda respects.
(talking about Daredevil, after having already incapacitated Wolverine and Spiderman: "The last one of the three is the one that got me worried. Least formidable; most dangerous")
And his live action show was one of the best comic books shows I've ever watched, too bad the Punisher one couldn't keep up with that quality past season 1...
Gotta love Vincent D'Onofrio as Kingpin, shame he was wasted like that in the "Hawkeye" tv show.
Anyway, good stuff, merci et à bientôt!

    • @randallflagg3700
      @randallflagg3700 2 года назад

@Oswald Cobblepot Because I'm talking about the show, not the character.
Figured I would "" it to make it clear to the reader ^^
And indeed he respects Cap, well I think so, only time I've seen them together was when Castle killed him in "Punisher kills the Marvel universe"...
I haven't read the comic book version of "Civil War" (just watched the movie) but I believe that it's the one storyline where Frank refuses to fight back against him or something?
As I've said, I'm more of a DC fanboy, the only Marvel titles I've followed in recent years have been the numerous Punisher run, and the awesome *"Immortal Hulk"* that ended a few months ago after 50 issues.

A silent ninja killing machine who would only keep relentless pursuing his victims and being unstoppable ( until he was stoppable ). Sort of a ninja Terminator.

Since the Vulture came first and gets used more, especially in media outside of just the comics, he’s more appreciated. Have the Vulture and the owl ever fought each other or teamed up? I’m just curious, since Spidey has fought the Owl several times before, especially in the 70’s and 80’s in his spectacular Spider-Man title.

What would happen if Iron Man had a connection to the Kingpin ? The MCU really loves making Spiderman a part of his world.

I think these are all good villains especially The Owl. - Also Batman stole ideas from The Shadow perhaps more than anything else early on.

5 Hyde, 4 owl, 3 electro, 2 Jester, 1 Typhoid Mary, I do like many villains in daredevil's rouges gallery. I think Kingpin and Bullseye are good villains but a bit overused.

Kingpin is really a Spider-Man villain, for gods sake don't let anyone tell you otherwise, especially not Frank Miller.

@Oswald Cobblepot He can, I just hope fans will remember he's a spider-man villain to, and I also hope fans will stop beiliving Frank Miller when he says "Kingpin was a joke before I wrote him in DareDevil" because that's bulls&*t.

Just so I don't repeat Mr. Rogues list, five DD villains that stuck out to me over the years include:
    5. Micah Synn
    4. Bushwhacker
    3. Gadiator, Melvin Potter
    2. Mister Fear
    1. The Purple Man

Nuke is a pretty good underused Daredevil villain although, at this point, I am not even sure he counts as a Daredevil villain anymore.

Hey for rip offs look what the Wonder Woman movies ripped off:WW1:Hero trained by well known character(Batman Begins),beloved relative dies to inspire hero(Spider Man),hero's not once called by super hero name(Man Of Steel),WW2.Science friend/worshipper who'll turn evil and become half an animal(Batman Forever,The Amazing Spider Man).
