    I’ve always thought of Robert’s voice almost as an instrument. He is very agile with his voice, and as you said, he molds it to fit each song. On some he’s really out there, others, like Kashmir, he sort of skips along the top of it.

      @@Newfie-zc7ug There's an interview with the band, where an interviewer said to Robert 'I understand you play the harmonica' and Robert, said 'When I'm allowed to', so maybe Jimmy didn't want him to play after a while. I think it's also that the harmonica was associated with Blues songs and they eventually moved away from those, and I can't remember Plant playing the harmonica in his solo career afterwards.

    They took one of the most hard core blues songs and just made it as dirty and heavy as anything could be made. I felt like I had to pull myself up off the floor the first time I heard this from Zeppelin.

  • @henriettaskolnick4445
    @henriettaskolnick4445 3 года назад +19

    This is a very sexy song - I cracked up when you said something like "Don't tell me to 'come home' because I'll be there, especially if you're going to sing like that!" It's slow, slinky, and sensual. As someone else mentioned, Robert's voice was another instrument to use in the creation of perfection. You really should've just gone in album/track order from the beginning but that's ok because I am here for this!
