I love these videos. These guys need to keep putting money into that thing so we can see just how far they can actually go with it I would've liked to see a more customized cold air intake with the grill involved though
Don't get me wrong there is something out there for everyone so if you want to spend that much money on the side by side and Vivid racing is putting this much time and effort into making it better, that's fantastic. I've just been places in a Jeep I had a hard time walking to.
What about an egg delete and the new on the Rox bracket that holds the intake flange down. Apparently it can lift with the higher boost and cause a boost leak. The new bracket solves that.
And, in 2014, I paid $900.00 for a street legal AWD with off road, and low range 4X4, A/C, heat, 4 doors, German Ford V-6 SOHC, that makes 220HP and 280 Ft/lb. of torque. Look up "Explorer", on Craigslist for your location, and filter it for what you can afford to pay. I set mine to $1200.00... Then barter. How does a cold air intake work if it's breathing hot under hood air ? That's the same stupidity as the kids with their Honda civics. Cold air has to come from outside the engine compartment. End of story.
It is so hard to see spending so much money on a Knock off Jeep. A Polaris or Can Am is more of a true side by side. There are some Trails you cannot take this legally on because of the width of it. You've basically spent around $18k or more to build a posh side by side diesel version of a $3,000 Jeep YJ that you could have had air conditioning in. If you want It to look like a CJ it's easy to add the front clip I understand that the YJis 4" wider but the weight is the same and street legal.
Grand Waha in the off-road and aftermarket community 18k is chump change. It’s a solid purchase that will be around for many years. I welcome alternative sxs options. Not everyone likes the toy feel of Polaris.
I thought the same thing when I first saw the roxor. I own a tj and have owned a rzr 900s. Firstly, it's not a knock off. Designed and engineered in Detroit based off the mahindra thar and only sold in the us. The thar is an old descendant of the cj3b (jalopnik.com). As far as width, turbo x3s and xp 1000 turbos are 2 inches wider than the roxor and I still see no shortage of trail pictures of those. But mahindra looks to be competing with utvs rather than sxs anyways, which given its build quality specs is a tank compared to a ranger or viking. As for price, I'm finding a sticker of $15.5k for the current base model roxor. Which compared to the base model msrp of a 4cyl yj back in 1995 of $12.3k (autotrader.com), seems competitive if you factor in inflation but no doors roof or windshield but having the cool factor of a modern brand new no rust or dry rot fully boxed frame cj3b. As for being street legal, that is up to each individual states DOT requirements and savvy enough people will get these street legal if they want, even though mahindra explicitly says it was never intended for road use (while I'm sure they are crossing their fingers behind their back). Not saying this isn't a gamble on mahindras part but the roxor has the potential to be more of a game changer than you realize.

Still cheaper than upgrading a rzr or maverick
There are people that are getting them street legal and the mpg kicks the crap out of alot of things on the road.
If it gets it's air from under the hood it is a "HOT AIR INTAKE"

Read my mind. 😂😂 if you have money.... get yourself a nice turbo inline 6 because the old Jeeps came with a straight 6.

or a 304 amc engine
Engine re-mapping can help it out try Mahindra Thar mapping which is sold in india which is street legal 4*4.
I love the sound of a turbo diesel of any size
Roxor is a simple monster you can build on.
So what about an EGR delete? How difficult would that end up being?
What’s a eye delete
@@vivid_racing ha I meant a EGR delete 😂
Any plans for an intercooler? That would be an inexpensive boost to power.
Good idea. Will put it on the to do list!
What did this do to the EGTs??
Hey there! What color is this roxor considered??
It’s a special edition don’t remember :(
How would this work with a snorkel?
The snorkel would have to seal around the intake

I've never clicked so fast!
Have you done a new top speed run on it?
You can see in one of our other Mahindra videos we do run it out pretty high. ruclips.net/user/vividracingsearch?query=roxor
What lift wheels and tires?
John Hastings shoot an email to utv@vividracing.com and Ryan can check
Engine swap the coming Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2 Common rail turbo diesel 200 HP and 378 ft LBS

You could push high 20s safely.

There is a heat shield and forced air from the front. Thank you for your view.
Mahindra sucks out the ass, for parts availability and time to get them, as of 2022. Keep this in mind.

That is closer to a real jeep than anything made in the states
