- This Mahindra Roxor has a ton of aftermarket upgrades. Nick gives us a walkthrough of them and what they are bringing to this UTV. Calibrated Power Solutions tuning & Stealth turbo, Exergy pump, aftermarket intercooler, and exhaust from Diesel Freaks.
This vehicle went from 52HP to an astounding 200+HP and we've been having a blast with it.
This is the content I've been waiting for. Finally someone getting some horsepower out of this thing.

The reason that engine is bullet proof..it's an old-school Peugeot Indenor Diesel, which Mahindra makes in India under a Royalty-License Agreement from Peugeot.
FYI...Peugeot is Number 1 in terms of Light-Duty Diesels.....you might be surprised at how Manufacturers use Peugeot Light-Duty Diesels.....for example the F-150 Diesel? It's Peugeot Twin-Turbo HDI Diesel assembled at the Joint-Production Peugeot-Ford Plant in the UK or the Peugeot Plant on Mainland Europe.
Yes it has lasted, as an Indian I still see 1949 Mahindra MM450. Please also see Mahindra Thar 2020. It's a great alternative for those who can't buy Jeep Wranglers.

Honestly, I could fall asleep to a 10 min video of you letting it idle and just revving it now and again. The turbo diesel sound is just orgasmic. Please make that video of it ripping. It’s not really a UTV. It is a new Willys Jeep with a turbo diesel. Mahindra just calls it a UTV so they have less restrictions to sell it. I drive mine on the road and everyone just thinks it’s a Jeep. And you can make them street legal with some effort.
The only reason it says utv is because that's the only way they can sell it. A loophole.

I knew it had potential with the size of the engine it has and I wasn't let down.

I love you actually have it tuned and not just dumping excess fuel out the tailpipe and claiming it makes power.
Rolling coal for me is I love hate relationship mostly hate though. Sure it's fun at all in good conscience, but it always gets misused, and it's never good for the environment anyway. Not to mention a tuned engine burning all the fuel that it's receiving, is always going to make more power with the same fuel. So yeah fun as in doing a burn out but not practical to do all the time or leave it to do.

Damn, that is called engineering. I wish we had people who could do after market tuning in India. Sadly, our engineering degrees are only in paper without any practical experience.
People in the northern india have chip tuned the mahindra scorpio mhawk uptown about 170 to 180 hp

Have you upgraded the 12 gallon fuel tank? 25 gallons would be nice with the engine upgraded.

Man I want one. I had an old CJ2A ,it still had the hurricane 4banger,twin stick transfer case and T90 Trans. Mine was the military version with LOWW!!! GEARS ( 5:38-1) I could walk faster than it moved in low range 1st gear. The only mod mine had was 32- 10 50_15s .55mph was the fastest it would go more so that was down hill with a tail wind. Anyway this thing is everything I want, diesel basic and lots of fun. Congrats to Mahindra for making a great 4x4.

This is the video I wanted to see. Someone safely tweaking the motor to 200hp and 400ftlbs at the wheel. It's a Peugeot motor made under licence by Mahindra. Peugeot is world class in diesel technology.
Now, Mahindra sent that motor tuned to 48hp and 110ftlbs of torque.To put the new power down you need to widen the track and upgrade the brakes.
They have licence for Willys jeep. The motor has come a long way and its not by Peugeot. Its actually a M&M motor .

Yup. It's classified as a side by side or UTV. Some people say it can only be road legal in some areas but with the help from dirt legal it can be street legalized anywhere in the US. So yeah it's a 'utv' but it's isn't.

The transmission/ clutch ,diffs, are gonna take a crap with all that power they were not designed for.
It already has an upgraded clutch and no issues have come up yet. Even after countless full power dyno runs, trail rides, and general abuse.
@@Duramaxtuner ..the key word is "yet". There is only so much the factory diffs and transmission can take.. but good job anyways man!
Factory diff is a dana 44 equivalent which will be fine at that level.

1998 dodge ram 1500's have Dana 44's from the the factory,. And they are way beefier then this thing I would know I own one,. They also put Dana 60's in the 360CI engine models,
This little vehicle is the equivalent of Mazda B200 diff or a 1980's Toyota pick up..
It's a cheap East Indian copy cat version of a Jeep CJ.
@@zorans5200 here is my source on this. There will be a weak link discovery as power is added I doubt it will be the axles. U joints will go long before.

This IS the 2.5L version this torque focussed vehicle truly deserves, the MDI3200TC. The 2.5L crde engine you have in mind is a road-going more complex engine with usable torque coming at a higher rpm. And it's Mahindra, not Mahendra.
What about milage
@falchulk Well the mileage stock is usually 30+ mpg. It should be 10-20 in this one. It was terrific, not terrible )

@@nickpriegnitz5895 - you go right ahead. It’s too much boost. Even in an iron block. That much boost requires that much more fuel. That is a lot of strain. You’ll take a 200k engine, and destroy it in 30k. Then add the fact that the exhaust wasn’t touched, it will overpressure. Over pressure will blow seals. Unlike you young man, I’ve actually worked on engines. Keep your one word answers to yourself.
200 horses are good for a motorcycle, pretty lame in a car.

4 times the power on an Indian designed/built anything. Oh yeah, you're gonna do some shreddin'...Sub-Chinese build quality, if that's even possible. Might want to get a drag blanket for the clutch, if it frags in one piece they can cut off feet. Best of luck.

Its unbreakable , its a daily Tried n tested workhorse of india, its low power offers great fuel mileage, with mods like this , it will be better off road than any other SXS and will also tow more than 1.5 tonnes , its the steel body on frame , and Mahindra is a big player in sheet metal, so its coming straight from iron mines of india to u , its the best world could have for such low price , far superior than Chinese in every manner, this thing will last for ages of abuse
How many minutes before you blow the chinese...I mean Indian thing up ?...I am all about diesel engines...german or american...every hunk a junk I have ever had from asia ( not japan ) has been wholly disappointing..... be a hero and juat put a turbo Cummins 4 cylinder in an old military jeep and show those copycats how its done.
