Thank you so much for this video! Just yesterday (4-15-19) I spoke with a lady that believes all will go to heaven, (eventually) and that a place called Hell doesn't exist. I shared some Scriptures wih her, yet she said they were not true, and that the word Hell was mistranslated.
I prayed that the Holy Spirit would provide a way to share the Truth with her...then I found your video in my timeline! God is AWESOME!!!
Further, as a former SDA, they believe as the JW's that Jesus is Michael the archangel, soul sleep, and annihilation. (And MANY other things that contradict the Bible)
False teachers have been around for a LONG time, BUT God's Word is, and always will be, The TRUTH!!! Prayers for you and your ministry!

Child of God Josh is also a deceiver by his own definition. There are many false preachers among us and he seems sincere, but he is sincerely wrong on this matter. He should be more like the Bereans and study more. He like most others just accept what he has heard of or been taught without proving whether it is correct or not. Preaching the gospel requires that you have throughly searched it out and he hasn’t since there is no way Biblically the wicked can be burning forever on Earth while the Saints live eternally on the Earth and walk on the “ashes” of the wicked at the same time.

I just got fired from a church in San Jose, California for preaching to the youth group that hell is eternal contrary to the Pastor’s annihilationist view. He told me to not speak on the topic since I’m not properly trained yet (will be entering Western seminary in 2020). I told him that if he wouldn’t allow me to speak on the topic, the least I would do is point people to the plethora of passages that Scripture addresses. He explicitly prohibited me doing that. Meaning, I couldn’t even point people to the Word. I refused and was terminated immediately, having to look for another source of income and housing (was provided by the Church) while I finish undergrad studies. The Lord has come through time and time again during this trial with reassurance that standing for the Truth is a necessity. Thank you brother for this encouragement and addressing this topic that so many preachers avoid.

The idea of an immortal soul is pagan. There is no life apart from God, and no living.
This is why it is potentially dangerous to solely rely on your pastor and church service to go over Bible verses and never read the Bible on your own time.
The Bible verse about unlearned men not knowing how to rightly divide the word of God and twisting scripture keeps popping into my head. This is why reading the scriptures for yourself and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide is so important!!!

It does but not in the way you think. Hell's exit is through the cross. The way you exit it it through The Way, Truth and the Life - Jesus Christ. God loved us so much that He sent His Son to die on the cross, shedding His blood. Jesus suffered hell on Calvary when He cried out "My God My God Why hast thou forsaken me??!!" He was separated from His Father, as He, as Paul writes, who knew no sin, became sin for us. You trust Him as your personal Saviour and Lord. Hell's exit must be made in this life. If you reject the way God made, you go to hell. Once in hell, there is NO exit. You're always there, there is no purgatory or second chance.
The Burbinski you are right. Hell has no exit...the effects of hell are for forever. The wicked will burn up and they will cease to live and we will walk on their ashes according to Malachi 4

@@ServusChristi I have noticed that many of your videos where you are teaching about a particular Biblical topic, you always bring up specific false teachers, false Pastors etc. Why do you feel it is always necessary to interject these rants on the false teachers. Jesus tells us that many would come in His name to lead the flock astray and to deceive. The world is filled with false teachers and false preachers and has been for many many years. Ones time would be better spent on preaching and teaching the pure gospel of Jesus Christ, on bringing the whole counsel of God.
Especially in this these End Times, many many false teachers and false preachers will appear, shall we be preoccupied with them , or shall dedicate our time and energy to strongly delivering the word of God, the gospel of Jesus Christ, with the hope that many will hear, believe and be saved, all by God's sovereign grace.

The only thing I don't understand is why Jesus warns for us to "fear Him who can kill BOTH body and soul in Hell".
If the soul is "killed" in Hell , doesn't it mean that it then ceases to exist?

Tell me - do you think it is fair for Satan and his cohorts to get the exact same punishment as someone who was an atheist who never accepted Christ but never murdered anyone? Do you think that God would be “just” or that that would be “justice” (since the Bible declares that God is indeed just)? When my kids were very small the 3 year old said something I can’t even remember, but I was saying something about Jesus. Unknown to me, there was a middle aged man in the next aisle that was listening to what I was saying to my children. He came around the aisle and angrily told me how he would never love a God that burned people in hell forever. This is what that belief system does. It portrays God as if God we’re Satan...some vindictive, hateful creator waiting for us to mess up and then burn us in hell forever. God does NOT burn anyone - even Satan himself - forever and ever....Jude 7 is our example of eternal fire..the effects of that fire is forever!

God is not a tyrant that takes pleasure in the death of the wicked. No one is in hell because the second resurrection of the wicked will not take place until after the 1,000 years Rev 20:4-6

That is a parable, not literal.
This parable teaches us there is no purgatory(from hell to heaven)
God will be justified in His justice. (The rich man never says he doesn't deserve to be there)
Knowledge of Salvation is found in God's word (Moses and the prophets).
If this were literal, that would contradict Scripture and make God unjust by having Cain in hell 6,000 years longer than someone who died yesterday.

God's word does not say that the soul that sins will be consciously tortured for eternity, but rather "The soul that sins will die". When the serpent tempted Eve, he told her that she would not die if she ate the forbidden fruit, but that she would become as God, knowing good and evil. It is the serpent who is telling the same lie these days. After Adam and Eve sinned, God put an angel to guard the tree of life with a sword pointing in all directions to keep them from eating of it and living forever. The lie of "eternal conscious torment" is not biblical. Jesus said, "Do not fear him who after he has killed the body, can do nothing, but rather, fear him who is able to destroy both body and soul in hell." The false doctrine of eternal conscious torment was adopted into the false church as a way of controlling the masses through fear. The people were told if they did not keep their rules, they would be excommunicated, "not be allowed to partake of the sacraments", thus being damned to burn forever in torture and agony without end. If you have any God given ability to reason outside of blind faith, think about this. God is just. Is it just to torture a person for 300 years because they sinned in their 70 year life. Would you personally be that unmerciful. I don't think so. Well, God is much more merciful than you, and his judgement will be just and his judgement will be eternal.

Is this not speaking about you and me and every other person? scripture declares there is *none* righteous, no not one (Rom. 3:10) we are all born "in Adam" so we all must "die" but we will all be made alive in Christ, every man in his own order (1 Cor. 15: 22-23) because Jesus is the Saviour of *all* men (1 Tim. 4:10)

I was a child of 7. In a foster home with my sister and another girl. I wanted to sing in the choir at the church across the street from the library in my corner. I dragged them without permission with me and so began my Christian adventure. I can tell you that the gospel is so simple that when preached every week and you have a good Godly man preaching you will have planted the seed of the work that God has planned. I turned 8 and in the spring my first Easter in church brought me the story of salvation. The pastor God Bless Him must be long dead but how my life changed. I’ve grown and stumbled I’m in my 60’s and trust me I could not have endured my life without Jesus’s and God the father. How one can doubt the fact that hell exists stuns me. He preached it all. My new family at 10 brought me to a Lutheran Church and he too preached the gospel and Christ crucified. It has been a drought where I live to ever hear the gospel. I don’t j ow what happened but to go in an Easter and not hear the gospel also shocks me. If I was a once a year go to churched how would I know the gospel???? They need to preach Christ and Christ crucified. Life death and resurrection. My sister who was split from me sat right next to me and doesn’t believe in hell. Has an issue when I say being gay is a sin she scowls at me. She feels all will make it in the door or the pearly gates. I feel so unworthy yet I know I am saved. 2. Which verse says the SOUL will burn?

Your trying to undermine the clear words of the scripture to introduce a new version, atmosphere, location, or extent to the lake of fire.
1. Would you like longitude and latitude coordinates? On that note, where is heaven? Since you cannot answer that question in the way you want it answered on your end, you have implicitly and unwittingly denied Heaven. Good job.
2. This is a loaded question known as "framing". Nice try. The absence of the specific wording you have issued in no way nullifies the reality. Jehovah's witnesses use the same frail logic concerning the trinity. Since the word "trinity" is not found, then it must be false, right? That notwithstanding, see Hebrews 9:27. Judgment happens AFTER the death of the body...
3. On the cross when He bore the wrath of God and became and adequate propitiation for sin.... "But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5)

Are you only talking about the intermediate state between death and resurrection, or are you saying that people will, for eternity, not have bodies?
Do unbelievers have eternal life? Are the wages of sin eternal life? I thought that people that believe Jesus have everlasting life (John 6:47, 5:24, 3:36) and others don't--they "perish" (John 3:16). Does "perish" mean "live forever"?

The wages of sin is death, death not as we humans understand it, but burning in a lake of fire forever. Burning for eternity means you exist forever, but that's not "eternal life" through Jesus Christ our Lord. God defines it as eternal death, the second death. God is eternal, so are His judgements. Hope that helps.
This just shows how much we NEED to know what our Bible says for ourselves. So many people fail to read it and rely on hearing about it secondhand. These people rely on us not knowing the truth so that we will believe their lies. It’s sad. I pray for these people.

If one denies Jesus for this whole life, then yes, there awaits a lake of fire for those who have denied him. And death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire" This explains the second death, not the first! The first, is the death of being in a state of knowing nothing, the second death is much different, the second death involves eternal punishment. Revelation 22:15 "Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the immoral persons and the murderers and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying" What do you think it means by this? Simple, those who are outside, are immoral people who are in the lake of fire burning for all eternity, while those inside of the gates are the one's who receive eternal life. Now, I am not trying to bash you at all, I am simply trying to lead you back on track to Jesus, you need to know the true gospel, not the false one. So don't assume I have a different spirit because I am saying the truth

Thank you for taking the time to expose these people. Seems like most people are deceived. And they keep listening to the ones who are deceiving them. So sad. When we tell someone the truth they get mad and call us the deceived. I now slightly know what Jesus went through. The persecution is tough.
This is painful to listen to. Its astonishing on how people won't take the whole Bible into account.
You were right about the word "destroy" in Matthew. In greek its root word is απολλυμι(apollymi), and its meaning according to Theological dictionary of the New Testament is to destroy, to kill, to suffer loss, lose, to perish, or to be lost. The context determines the meaning used in a specific place. So its meaning isn't just to destroy/ be destroyed. The dictionary also notes that the destruction is not physical as we would think of the word destroy, but rather a hopeless eternity of eternal death. That too makes the non-existence argument quite weak. I hope these points will add some extra flavor to your already great argumentation.

If eternal death is not certain then neither is eternal life. Because the same language in the Bible is used to describe both.
It is not what we want it to be or think it should be, but rather what is God's will.
Job an innocent man suffered greatly because of God's will. As well as Jesus.
So what is it? Eternal torment in Hell is it? So what's the meaning of death? Eternal torment? So Satan was right when he had said "you shall not die". What was God's definition of death?

Is there any notion of life after death which is basically what the eternal torment is teaching? There are first and second resurrection and the first and second death.
Bible teaches that God is the only eternal one while we sinners are mere mortals. And also Bible teaches the wage of sin is death period and not eternal torment in Hell.

Many years ago the Father allowed me to fall down some very heretical rabbit holes. I didn’t understand it until later on in life. My discernment level is too the point now that I immediately know when someone is lying or false preaching. I thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth for pulling me out of those rabbit holes every time.

Wow!!!!! If hell isn't eternal in conscience,then you are also saying that heaven isn't eternal in conscience. And the Bible clearly teaches us that they both are eternal in conscience. Read revelation 20.

Hey brother, thank you for the video. I've been racking my head over this one, just based off of the scriptures while reading. I noticed Death and Hell are cast into the Lake of Fire, which in my mind equates to eternal destruction, as in forever no more. Would you be able to comment? Again, not trying to argue, just honestly trying to reason in my own mind.

I watched the full video of Mackie's sermon. Essentially, Mackie treats hell as a sickness or infection inside the heart of man. At one point, he uses the metaphor of a surgeon cutting out a poisoned organ. This is a terrible confused teaching on hell, which in the Bible refers to a place of judgment and separation. Hell is not the evil in human hearts, it is the place where evil (unrepentant) hearts are contained so that they will not pollute those who are redeemed. As Servus said, hell and sin are related, but they aren't synonyms.
What's worse is that Mackie ignores passages where Jesus spoke on hell (Gehenna), instead deciding to frame hell within his 30,000 foot view of the Bible. Mixing truth with error, Mackie provides a compelling story, but one that deceives believer and unbeliever alike.
Contrast that to the 11 times Gehenna was used in the gospels. Not only was Jesus specific about hell, he used a physical, earthly place to describe it. His listener would have had a visceral image in mind, and understood the warning. The eternal judgment is compared to a place of rotting flesh and sewage, outside of the city, where there is never a time of reprieve. Why is Mackie afraid to give his listeners the warning that Jesus gave?

Mackey also teaches that God didn’t tell the Israelites to wipe out all of the Canaanites. He said that God wasn’t calling for genocide, but that it was a “metaphor” He is off on so many theological points. I don’t know where he studied but he should ask for his money back...

One question/possible point of contention: I thought “the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever” referred to those who are still on Earth at the end (so, those who took the Mark of the Beast) to face God’s Wrath for days on end? Since it says that they are in the presence of the Lamb and His angels when that takes place. Christ and His angels obviously won’t be in hell, so this appears to be a different punishment, on Earth when Christ returns to destroy the AC and co.
Furthermore, it's also worth noting that the verse doesn’t actually say *their torment* last forever; rather, it’s talking about *smoke* - and thus, it’s probably figurative: In Isaiah 34:10, when it refers to the destruction of Edom it says "its smoke shall go up forever.” Obviously the physical smoke of Edom is not still rising; this was a figure of speech used to signify its destruction. Thus, either this verse refers to the temporal destruction of the Beast and his followers, or if it somehow does refer to hell, then it could actually be argued that this implies annihilation.
So basically, hell itself could indeed be eternal punishment… but I don’t think Revelation 14:11 verse is a good evidence towards that. 1. I think it refers to something else altogether and 2. It’s using a previously-used (Isaiah) known figure of speech. Happy to be corrected on this, but just something to think about. God bless!

When folks are lost at sea, how often after days, weeks or years do you think they will be found and restored? According to context, "Lost" will definitely mean destroyed. Lose your life in a fire or in a car accident. Everything has a context. Let the ible show you the correct one. Peace
