Is It In The Bible? - The Pastor Deception

  • Are pastors Biblical? Does the Bible teach a single pastor led church? Is it in the Bible? The aim of this series is to expose those pillars of tradition that are currently supporting the institutional "church". There are many traditions with zero scriptural support that we must rid ourselves of to get back to biblical Christianity.
I published a video which highlighted, in a general sense, the problem with "church" as we know it called, "The False Church System Deception" . You can view that video here:

I am a new believer and I started going to church and reading my bible fervently. The more I read, the more I look around and wonder why it seems so different than what I read about in the bible but as I look around again I see that I seem to be the only one who notices a problem. So I brushed it off and thought maybe I am nit picking to much. It has been bothering me for a while now and I am starting to think it is only me. I am afraid to say anything because I'm a new believer and a female believer at that. I love my church family, but I just can't get over the fact that we look nothing like the early church. Our entire routine is made of traditions and it just feels more like a performance than an honest worship meeting. I want the type of fellowship I read about in the bible.

EXACTLY you described EXACTLY my experience. I got saved at 23, and was not a "church kid" so I had no church tradition to fall back on. When reading the bible I wondered why the system I was in seemed to be NOTHING like I read about, and the system seemed to be even HOSTILE to many of the teachings of Jesus. I raised 2 children in that system, both of whom pretty much became adults and were sick of it. They were introduced to all kinds of wickedness in "youth groups".
I had 2 younger daughters that we taught the scriptures at home, and both of them show evidence of true conversion and even the local pastors want their kids to hang around with ours (which our daughters declined because many of the pastors children were so worldly).
I think that MOST "churches" are no different than the harlot roman catholic system. We even call it The Harlot Religious System.

1998 I started reading the Bible and going to churches and couldn't find any that were biblical. Instead they were just American institutions that took tithes to benefit the organization mirroring the corrupt government. But like you I figured it was me that just didn't understand. 25 years later I find that corruption in the church has gotten worse and more pervasive. Now I look for small churches ran by poor people who love Jesus and scripture

You are correct sir. I am a youth pastor and told my "pastor" that we are servants (of a lower ranking in Greek) and his response was, "well, there is the pastoral authority." I was shocked because I showed him in 1 Cor. that neither the one who plants or waters is anything but God is the one who causes the growth, and that we are servants of Christ. The youth group I serve understood my position when I told them I am to serve them, not be served. Thank you, brother. Keep up the great work.

They make merchants of God. Even almost all of the books too! It's an industry and an institution. Corinthians speaks of spirit led gatherings, where prophecy, revelation and healing occur! Most Churches and the wickid Calvinistic Church I attended even practice cessationism. That is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Even tithing refers to the old law, which incidentally, was not about mammon but food. The evangelicals even make an idol of the Bible. It's hard to describe but I've seen them stroke it. But sadly, they do not meditate on the word as we should. The pastor intellectualises it to fit his doctrine of Man!

This was an amazing video! God has recently called me out of the Catholic Church and now I am praying heavily for my wife to do the same as she is a very devout cradle Catholic. Ironically, a man from my old Catholic Church put together a " bible study" with myself and another bible believing Christian. There are actually two Catholics into Bible believing Christians. With being led by the Holy Spirit the Bible study is now turning into more of a church, from a biblical standpoint, and it is becoming very rewarding. The Catholic men are starting to have their eyes open to the truth. I give God all the glory for that!

He loves to bandy words and dazzle people with his seeming scholarship. He is self-vaunting. He can dupe the ignorant, but not those of us with more discernment. • @josephdiregolo3421
      @josephdiregolo3421 6 лет назад +2

Its not God calling you out. Don't be fooled by this dribble. Catholics have the truth and believe in the Bible. We have readings from it at every mass.
The problem is most Catholics don't know their History.
It was the Catholic Church and the religious orders (monks) that transcribed and translated it from the original documents the worlds the First Bible.
In addition the Catholic Church ( Which means Universal Church ) gave us the oral traditions of the founding Fathers of the Church and is founded by Christ Himself. In addition we have the writings and example of the saints as living witnesses of faith in Christ Jesus for Two thousand years of unbroken succession.
Did you Know that the earliest recorded evidence of the use of the term "Catholic Church" is the Letter to the Smyrnaeans that Ignatius of Antioch wrote in about 107 to Christians in Smyrna.
The seven great letters of St. Ignatius of Antioch, written around the year 106 while on his way to Rome to be thrown to the beasts. His writing show the existence of local hierarchical churches, ruled by bishops who are assisted by priests and deacons. Ignatius, a living disciple of John the Apostle, writes that "Jesus Christ...is the will of the Father, just as the bishops, who have been appointed throughout the world, are the will of Jesus Christ. Let us be careful, then, if we would be submissive to God, not to oppose the bishop."
Within each city there was a single church under a bishop, who in turn was assisted by priests in the spiritual realm and deacons in the administrative. The latter devoted themselves especially to alms-giving, and a striking feature of primitive Christianity is its organized benevolence. These local churches were largely self-sufficient but would group around a mother church in the region - Antioch, Alexandria, Rome - and the bishops of each region would occasionally meet in councils. But they all considered themselves part of a universal Church - the Catholic Church, as Ignatius first called it - united in belief, ritual, and regulation.
The early Church believed in the real presence on the Eucharist just as the Church teaches to this Day.
Jesus past his authority on to the Twelve who in turn passed it on to the Bishop's. He gave them the power to teach, Forgive sins , Baptize, Heal the sick , celebrate the Mass, cast out demons, perform marriages, and ordinate by the laying on of hands. Christ built his church on men that he set apart before his ascension. Christ himself said to Peter that he was the rock upon which he would build his Church and that the gates of hell would not prevail against it. Peter was first among equals and Passed on His Authority to the Bishops of Rome.
I was led astray from the Catholic church in my youth. It is a journey filled with grief that I hope you will avoid.
Get your hands on to the Catechism of the Church and listen to EWTN's radio show "Call to Communion". Doctor David Anders can answer your questions and doubts.
The Church is made up of Saints and sinners in all shapes and sizes. But Christ has not abandoned the Church he established.
      I will Pray for You

I would just hand her a King James (which is derived from different manuscripts than the Catholic bible) and on "Good Friday" ask her to show you in there, where the fish-eating thing is. Do the same with everything, the Eucharist, monstrance etc. Simply not in there. Catholics need to realize that the bible (an accurate one) is the authority, not some guy.

Personally I have come to hate going to church...its the same every time...the rock band plays some songs supposedly for God...then our pastor walks up on stage like a proud rooster and says "Give the Lord some praise!!!" and the crowd goes wild applauding...then they do the offering and will very often use Mal 3 where it says God says bring the offering into my storehouse and I will rebuke the devourer and open the windows of heaven, they love to use this scripture to make the people want to give money so God will bless them, however its taken totally out of context because Mal 3 is actually about priests that were stealing from God and using the offering for themselves, it has nothing to do with tithing or even the congregation...after this the former skateboard star gone pastor will preach and every time he preaches he encourages the crowd to cheer for him and quite often says things like "I'm preaching good tonight aren't I?"...he doesn't counsel people and claims that his calling is to "equip us" with his great preaching...his net worth is 3 million dollars, but he regularly asks for extra money to improve the church building that he brags about owning and says the bank made him get a million dollar life insurance policy when he bought it, so ultimately its his property that the people are paying for and improving on while he keeps his 3 million and receives a "salary" from the church...its quite a beautiful scam...and it makes me sick to my stomach.

He told me the Gospel by itself is boring and the church needed to run events like concerts, sporting events, and Fall Festival to attract people to the church and then present them with the Gospel.

Yeah they claim everything they do is for the gospel...unfortunately 99.99% of the people in a church, no matter how long they have been going there cant explain the gospel to you. Most of what I know about Jesus and the gospel was revealed to me by God, not a church or a pastor (Jer 31:31-34). Almost all "Christians" will tell you the gospel is God loved me so much he sent his son Jesus to die for my sins so that I can go to heaven and live for eternity. But that is NOT the gospel.

It is quite the way to make easy money but right down to it it's theft. I used to watch Perry Stone but I watched his demons manifest and taking advantage constantly and how he'd strut., also the following they get they gloat over and they all brag. to take by deceit is satan with all these people doing fake ministry. Satan takes everything then eventually the soul. they will hate u(I know b,c I've been preaching get out of this nonesense for 12 yrs) b,c u EXPOSE their desire to be accepted in these churched groups and be as they are in this idolatry. God told me audibly that He allows the holy to be holy and filthy to be filthy still in His word and sent me a wave of peace. So I realized then and there I was not to cry myself everyday into oblivion with worry over it. It took the pain away that I felt for them b,c I was in much grief over this choice they intentionally,by their heart, make. we must understand the flash and workings in the church are not at all new, just technologically superior to heathen practises of getting worked up dancing around fires worshipping baal.

Over the years he’s let others speak less and less, his messages refer to Jesus less and less, but he talks about himself more and more. Yet there’s no discipleship, no support for members, and no outreach.
As narcissists have flying monkeys, the pastor has his sycophants. Each member I spoke to even in private attacked me as being a heretic for being concerned. Any questioning of the pastor was taken as questioning God. After leaving I realized I’d been called to leave years ago.

This is so amazing. Just this morning I was reading in Eph 4 about apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. My Bible version used the word shepherd in place of pastor, and that got me thinking. We go to church, sit in a pew, and tell this person on stage, "feed me" "'tell me what I should know" A shepherd does not tell the sheep what they should know. A shepherd does not tell a sheep how to be a sheep. That is the job of the other sheep. The shepherd is to protect the sheep, show them where the water is, take them to the best pasture. But it is the sheep that teach the other sheep how to be a sheep. No where do I see that a pastor is to tell the flock every week what they are to know. Do we need leadership in the church? Yes that is Biblical. But what the role of pastor has turned into is not. Our churches are patterened after the Roman Catholic Church of the early centuries.

Paul, ( aka: Saul of Társüs ) a man who had never met Jesus (pbuh) personally, and the author of the majority of the books of the New Testament, had seriously corrupted the teachings of Jesus (pbuh) and substituted them
with his own “version” of Christianity totally in opposition to that which Jesus (pbuh) and his apostles had taught their followers.
I was astounded to see that even with the many thousands of Christian publications, from eminent Christian scholars, which, to one degree or another readily admit these facts, still, Christianity as a whole is all but ignorant
      of these matters.
I hope that at least to get people to think and get them interested enough that they may go out, read BOTH the Bible and the Qur’an CAREFULLY, -and - read them entirely from cover to cover..
Which brings me to the question; Does anyone know of a Christian who knows the Bible from cover to cover and can recite the entire Bible from memory ?
I can easily demonstrate how one of the most fundamental reasons which lead up to the corruption of his message (Jesus) (obuh) was that those " who came after him " attempted to force his religion upon those who it was never intended for: The Greeks ......
The Greeks hatred of the Jews and all Jewish practices was one of the foremost reasons why the religion of Jesus (pbuh) ended up being modified to suit their preconceived picture of “God,” and “worship.”
      Paul admitted so...

    • @andrew_koala2974
      @andrew_koala2974 7 лет назад

      +Ivan Vazquez
the corruption of the religion of Jesus (pbuh) progressed in the following stages:
      1) Jesus (pbuh) came to show the Jews how their religion had been changed from that preached to them by Moses and their previous prophets (pbut).
      2) Jesus (pbuh) called the Jews back to the true religion of God sent down upon their previous messengers.
Jesus (pbuh) himself observed every single aspect of the religion of Moses (pbuh) steadfastly and uncompromisingly. He fasted as Moses (pbuh) fasted, he worshiped as Moses (pbuh) worshiped, he refrained from tasting a single pig, he believed in circumcision and himself was circumcised, he observed the Sabbath, never
having violated it. He did this up until the crucifixion. It was only after the crucifixion, according to the Bible, that he allegedly returned in “visions” to Paul in order to nullify everything he had spend his whole life upholding.
The Bible actually bears witness that during his lifetime, Jesus commanded his followers to follow the religion of Moses (pbuh) and threatened severe retribution from God for all who would forsake a single aspect of this religion until the end of time.
      3) Jesus (pbuh) departed from this earth and his apostles continued to follow his teachings religiously.
They too followed the religion of Moses (pbuh) as Jesus (pbuh) had done before them and commanded them to do. For the first three hundred years after the departure of Jesus (pbuh), “Christians” would merely be Jews who believed that Jesus (pbuh) was the Messiah. For the first three decades after the departure of Jesus (pbuh),
his followers would continue to worship in the synagogues of the Jews and observe all of the aspects of the religion of Moses (pbuh) without exception.
      4) Shortly after the departure of Jesus (pbuh), a Jew named Saul of Tarsus persecutes Jesus’ followers severely and kills them. He has never met Jesus (pbuh) in person.
      5) Suddenly .... Saul claims to be receiving “visions” from Jesus (pbuh). He befriends the apostle Barnabas until he manages to replace his reputation as a persecutor and killer of Christians with a reputation as a true convert.
      6) Now Saul parts ways with the apostle of Jesus (pbuh), Barnabas, and decides to preach to the Greeks.
He claims that the apostles of Jesus (pbuh) are lazy, misguided, hypocrites.
He claims that it was necessary for him to constantly guide the apostles out of their ignorance into the truth of God which he was receiving in his “visions.”
The Greeks hated the Jews with such a passion that he found it all but impossible to convince them to accept the Judaism that Jesus (pbuh) practiced his whole life and taught his apostles to carry on after him.
      7) Saul finds it necessary to “simplify” the religion for the Greeks and make it more acceptable for them.
      8) Saul continues to simplify the religion and mold it closer and closer to the Greek’s established beliefs until all that is left is “faith” without work. He then goes on to justify this doctrine of “faith” and give it credibility by claiming that Jesus (pbuh) was not merely a normal human being but a “son of God” and that this “son of God” died in atonement for the sins of all mankind. In this manner, he manages to convince the Greeks (and other Gentiles) to accept the corrupted “religion of Jesus.”
This is because, unlike the Jews, the religion of the Greeks already accepts “trinities,” and “father gods” and “son gods,” and the death of gods, and the resurrection of gods, and the incarnation of gods, and divine savior gods, and the eating of the flesh of gods, and the drinking of the blood of gods...etc.
All of these concepts are old news to them.
He becomes a great leader among them and is named “Saint Paul.”
      9) “Saint Paul” now writes extensively and gains more and more “converts.”
      10) Once his converts begin to exceed the number of converts to the more strict and demanding religion of the apostles of Jesus (pbuh), they begin to kill the followers of the apostles, persecute them, and burn their Gospels.
      11) The followers of “Saint Paul” are challenged to prove their claims of “son of God,” “original sin,” ..etc. through the scriptures and prove that Jesus (pbuh) or God had anything to do with them.
      They cannot.
There are too many verses which declare that there is only ONE God in existence and that He does not hold mankind responsible for the sin of any man.
Examples of these verses are available to this day (e.g.)
      Isa'iah 43:10-11 - Ezekiel 18:19-20 - Deuteronomy 24:16...etc.)
Thus, it becomes necessary for them to create a “ Trinity ” "similar to the ancient trinities " of the Greeks and
Romans so that they can have three Gods but claim that they only worship one.
The ancient “ trinities ” of Greek philosophy are redefined and applied to God almighty in order to define this new doctrine of “ three gods in one ”
Once again, the “ Trinity ” they borrowed from their ancient paganism could not be proven through the Bible, so it
became necessary for them to receive divine “ inspiration ” from God commanding them to “ clarify ” their Bible so that the “ trinity ” could be seen clearly (such as 1 John 5:7)
These “clarifications” would only be discovered by the scholars of Christianity centuries later.
They would later provide irrefutable proof of how, when, and by whom these “ clarifications ” were inserted into the Bible.
Thirty two biblical scholars of the highest eminence backed by fifty cooperating denominations would throw out
1 John 5:7 as a fabricated insertion and innovation of the church.
Many other fabrications would be discovered by them.
      12) In the fourth century CE., the followers of the “ trinity ” manage to enlist the aid of the pagan Roman empire. They wield the power of this pagan nation to “ cleanse ” the earth of the “ heretical ” and “ blasphemous ” followers of the apostles. They later launch campaigns of “ inquiry ” to “ convert ” them.
      13) “ Trinitarian ” beliefs are touted as the only truly correct religion of Jesus (pbuh).
The writings of Paul are collected and today they form the majority of the books of the new testament.
The books of the apostles are burned. They are all “ apocryphal ” lies.
Within the span of a few centuries the Trinitarians manage to “ recognize ” that all of the books that were considered canonical and divine during the very first centuries CE were indeed all lies and apocrypha.
Only those books that were considered apocryphal during these very first centuries CE are now “ recognized ” to be canonical, authentic, and divine.
Those who are found concealing the original books of the apostles are now burned to death with their books. Paul’s followers obtain copies of the Gospels of the apostles.
They copy them but with drastic modifications to the doctrine found therein.
They claim that the apostles wrote them.
These books are attributed to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
The additions to these books will continue for many more centuries.
Only centuries later will Christian scholars begin to see the evidence that the claimed authors did not write these books.
      14) Muhammad (pbuh) is born. He follows the religion of Abraham (pbuh) which was handed down to him and all Arabs from the father of the Arabs, Ishma'el, the eldest son of Abraham (pbut).
Upon reaching the age of 40, God sends the angel Gabriel to him to teach him His final message, the message of Islam. He tells him that the “ people of the book ” have changed the religion of Jesus (pbuh) and have altered it from a religion of submission to one God to a religion where multiple gods are being worshiped.
He is told that he will be the final messenger, and that his message is to be directed to all of mankind including the Jews and Christians.
      15) The Jews and “ Christians ” claim that Muhammad (pbuh) is a liar and a false prophet.
They claim that he has just copied the Bible in order to write his Qur’an. Just as the Jews refused to accept Jesus (pbuh) as a true messenger of God, so too do both the Jews and the Christians refuse to believe Muhammad (pbuh).

      + Ivan Vazquez
      PARTS 16 - 18 - Continued
      16) Muhammad (pbuh) passes away.
The Trinitarians continue with their burning at the stake any Christian who opposes the “ trinity ” or openly speaks about the discrepancies in the Bible. They launch campaigns of “ inquiry ” to cleanse the earth of all remnants
of believers in one ( monotheistic ) God. The sentences of death by these inquisitions become so unbounded in their nature that whole nations are sentenced to death.
A single holy decree of the Trinitarian church in 1568 would later condemn three million men women and children of the Netherlands to the scaffold as heretics.
      17) The Church loses it’s power to the scientists and is pushed into a dark corner.
Without the threat of death hanging over their heads, many Christian scholars begin to publish countless books exhibiting detailed examples of contradicting verses and evidence of modification to the Bible.
The ancient manuscripts of the Christian society are studied in detail and slowly, the previous picture begins to come together.
Countless excuses are made by the church and those who’s livelihood and newlygained power depend on these established beliefs. They now begin to give practically every single verse of the Bible “ abstract ” meanings.
They tell their flock to have blind faith.
They convince their flock that they can not understand the Bible without the “ interpretation ” of the church.
They tell their flock that Jesus (pbuh) never means what he says and that every reference he makes to following the religion of Moses (pbuh) is not meant to be taken “ literally ” but was meant by Jesus (pbuh) to have “ hidden ” meanings totally in opposition to the obvious meanings.
Only they can tell you what these “ hidden ” meanings of Jesus (pbuh) are.
      18) Copies of the original Gospels of the apostles of Jesus (pbuh) begin to surface.
They are found, of all places, hidden away in the capital of Christianity, the Vatican itself.
These Gospels ( Such as the “ Gospel of Barnabas,” or the “ Shepherd of Hermas ” ) confirm the teachings of the Qur’an. Copies of these Gospels have a tendency to disappear mysteriously.
Suddenly, in 1947, the Dead Sea Scrolls are discovered.
For close to forty five years, they are hoarded in Isra'el and hidden from the masses.
When they are finally forced out into the open, an amazing discovery is made.
They too confirm the Qur’an! They prophesy the coming of not one but TWO messiahs.
They claim that these two messiahs will be announced by an eschatological prophet.
The dual prophesy is very clear and prevalent throughout the scrolls. The scrolls claim that the first messiah will be betrayed by one of his followers but will not be forsaken by God to die, rather, the one who betrayed him shall be taken in his place.
There is so much in the Dead Sea Scrolls that parallels the teachings of the Qur’an, however, once again it is all explained away with abstract meanings. We are told that the Jews who lived 100 years before Jesus ( the authors of the Dead Sea Scrolls ) were expecting TWO messiahs does not mean that they were expecting two different
messiahs, but rather, they must have been expecting a messiah with two different personalities.
Thus, we are told, Jesus (pbuh) is BOTH messiahs.
On the other hand, the Jews explain that both prophesies refer to past occurrences and neither one could
possibly refer to Jesus (pbuh) or Muhammad (pbuh).
_ “ I shall turn away from my signs those who are arrogant in the earth unjustifiably, and if they see all the signs ( in creation) they believe them not, and if they see the path of righteousness they do not take it as ( their ) path, and if they see the path of misguidance they take it as ( their ) path.
That is because they deny our signs and are used to disregarding them” The Qur’an, Al-Aaraf(7):146
mu'SLiMs are told that when God created mankind, He gave them “ The Choice. ” They were told that they could either live their lives then die and fade out of the picture, like the animals do. Or they could elect to be held accountable for their actions. If they accepted the accountability, then the potential reward will be great. The potential retribution would be equally great.
With mankind’s acceptance of this accountability came their free will. God gave mankind a free will to chose to either worship Him or to disobey Him. Out of God’s infinite mercy, He then assisted mankind with many factors in order to guide them to His true path and the ultimate reward. Firstly, He sent the messengers. In this manner, no
matter how much mankind tried to corrupt His religion, it would always be available to those who searched for it.
Secondly, He supplied mankind with minds. He gave them these minds in order to be able to distinguish between right and wrong using logic. If they see someone worshipping fire, and they see that the fire can not hear their prayers nor answer their calls, then no matter how much these fire-worshipers “ spititualize ” their worship and tell them of the great miracles the fire has worked for them and how it has answered their prayers, and how it “ loves ” them, their logic will refuse to believe these concoctions.
Finally, God gave mankind an inborn sense called in Arabic “ Fitrah. ” This “ Fitrah ” is the small voice inside each one of us which tells us “this doesn’t feel right.” When we pick up a gun for the first time in order to kill someone, we have to fight mightily in order to overcome our “ Fitrah ” which tells us that killing is wrong.
In a similar manner, all mankind is born automatically knowing that “ God is one. ”
They must really fight themselves for a long time and be continually persuaded by those who are around them to
believe otherwise. This is how they end up worshiping fire, stones, statues, multiple gods, and other things.
It is forced upon them in spite of their “ Fitrah ” as they grow up.

Very well done! I'm seeing this in the south (Bible belt) as well. What these "pastors" who get on a world wide web don't think about, is the amount of their accountability for who they lead astray.Their "flock" just increased by millions if not billions of people. When the Apostle Paul was preaching things that certain people didn't agree with him, on he COMMENDED them and told them to "go to the scriptures to make sure I am right" You try and ask a pastor a question that would either threaten their Biblical knowledge, or expose them, they will shut you down. These pastors no matter how large the church have huge ego's! Pride is a serious problem with the majority of them. Unlike the Apostle Paul they don't want accountability. They should want that and their flocks should hold them accountable for wrong information. Nobody does anymore. I've tried and they just kick me out of their church's, get really defensive and try to humiliate me. The rule of thumb is don't ignore your gut feelings and discernment skills. You need those!

Thank you dear brother for this update. When the Lord saved us (in 1987), we knew nothing but Him. We wanted to find other people who loved God. And we arrived in a first "church" where the pastor took a large place. That's when we started to study the Word of God, both of us. And what was our surprise to find that this position of "one pastor" was not in the Word. We started to ask ourselves a lot of questions about this. Especially since ALL denominations work this way! They reminded us completely of the Roman model: "a priest, a parish". The Lord helped us because it was not easy for us to see this error, but many others. And we are just simple disciples of the Lord. Be blessed ! From France ...

Love your videos. Great topics and always very thorough. I’m encouraged to see you have so many subscribers as well. I feel a lot less alone in my thinking. Having been raised in church and recently left, I’m having trouble since my dad is extremely caught up in the institutional church, and even attends a weekly bible study which he organized. He’s worried about my salvation but I never felt happier or more free. There was so much corruption everywhere in the church government and in the “congregation”. A lot of people have a mix of good intentions and ulterior motives. My friendships were introduced by the “pastors”. Everything felt forced and unnatural. I never made any true friends. I couldn’t get past the tithing and hypocrisy. Their money is what mattered to them, not truth. And all the sermons were mixed with plenty of pop psychology. Happy to be out of that endless loop of a man made religion. It’s not following Christ, it’s following human ego.

First, I appreciate your words so much. As a matter of fact, I've just finished the rough draft of a book that deals with this very issue and others like it. I hope to publish it in the next couple of months. I feel very well qualified to speak in that I was a senior pastor in a religious organization for over twenty years, plus an elder at another church that was traditionally based. Recently retired as a hospice chaplain. I'm in my 60s now, but only in the last few years came to the realization that I was incorrect in many areas of "church," and even theology. My more recent discoveries are what urged me to write another book.
It's interesting that in Matthew 23, that Jesus condemned the use of all religious titles. In fact, in Peter's own writings, he always refers to Paul as "our brother Paul." We do have a Senior Pastor if one wants to translate a passage loosely. Peter writes: "And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory" (1 Peter 5:4). Jesus is our "Chief Shepherd," or "Senior Pastor."
I see these various churches and denominations as manmade religious institutions that have their own bylaws, statements of faith, and mission statements. Many of them are registered as corporations with the state as well. Now some of God's family may attend some of these organizations for awhile, but these organizations are manmade, not God inspired.
People are always shocked when I share with them that there is no passage in the Bible about giving money to a church every week or giving to a church at all. Some try to make 1 Cor. 16 say such a thing, but it actually says the opposite. Paul tells those Corinthian brethren to "lay by in store, " or save each week. Put it aside. And this saving is for a short period of time. Once Paul came to collect the offerings to take to needy saints, the giving was over till a new need would arise. The "church budget," (if one could call it that even) was used for widows, orphans, other needy saints and traveling apostles and missionaries. There was no local "church pastor," paid or otherwise. In fact, not even Rabbis were paid until about the 5th or 6th century.
There are so many others thoughts I could share, but thank you for a well thought out video that was biblically discerning.

Hello, I'm 66 and been a disciple of Jesus Christ for 49 years. I became a believer in 1974. In 2010, I was made a pastor alongside my wife in a Foursquare Church. I was also voted onto the Foursquare Church GB council. When I became a believer, I to saw the inconsistencies of the modern Church against that of the Ecclesia described in the book of Acts and the Epistles. The church I served closed down in 2012, because it shrank down to a few people. My wife and I resigned as Foursquare pastors and returned our licences. The more I looked into the Foursquare policies. I realised it was far from the NT model. We a number of years experience with many different groups or denominations of the Church and they all fall short of the NT model. Since 2019, the Lord has been re-teaching me in regards to beginning a NT model of Ecclesia, but I have had to join in an independent fellowship that was an AOG Pentecostal church as they have been teaching quite good Biblical based teaching. The Lord is leading me to teach a NT Ecclesia teaching there and practice NT Ecclesia lifestyle. It's not easy, and I still have no idea if this group will accept this and allow God to transform this fellowship into a truly NT Ecclesia. Time will tell. I have plenty of opportunities to go out and make Disciples by preaching the Gospel, healing the sick, casting out unclean spirits and finding ways to help the poor and needy. There are many across the world doing this and refusing to be called titles like pastor etc., because the Ephesian 4 ministries are functions not titles. When I was young, I wanted to do this, but I didn't have the knowledge of Scripture, experience and was always considered an unqualified person. However, I lost the enthusiasm and focus and I got older in my faith and went along with the crowd. In the last several years God has been waking me up and shaking me out of my complacency and causing me to make some bold moves, despite the kickback from others. God is definitely calling His saints out of Babylon, out of this world's corrupt system.

Tactical Bruce -Adam Goodword did post adequate links. I found it at a locksmith shop in North Carolina. When I first saw it I was reminded of Galatians 2:20 and Romans 6:2. Jesus promises two things to those that wish to follow Him. Eternal life, and a cross to die on. When I saw this, I saw the one that He died on, and the one that I am called to die on daily. That's all. Whoever has hijacked it since the Hungarians and French adopted it, I cannot say, but it is merely incidental. Nothing overtly, "occultic" or "pagan" about it. For me it is merely a reminder that I am to die to my flesh daily "take up your own cross". Thanks for the question. Hope that helps.

Excellent and thorough presentation which I agree with. I see in many of the comments that people long for a fellowship liken the early church. I and other believers have gathered in a house for a few years now with only Jesus Christ as the head, no pastor, and the Holy Spirit leads each one as they each contribute as in 1 Corinthians 14. As a result, each member of Christ's body has grown spiritually more than they ever did in their years in the traditional "church system". Mostly because we are not spectators, but function and grow together as each joint supplies. Instead of paying salaries, donations freely are given to the poor and struggling. What a better and also biblical way! If such a gathering cannot be found near you, ask Jesus to help you start one.

Something interesting I discovered, is that a few different pastors from three churches all taught the same sermon. On the same Sunday. I discovered this by podcasts. It then came to my attention, by God I believe, that they all went to to the same conference just prior to this. Now I have discovered that all of the main churches are joining the Catholic church and combining to become "one world religion." This is all heading to the New World Order. Some of these churches have illuminate signs all through them. So I am glad I stopped going to church.

I pray it was of some encouragement to you. We strive for truth and conformity to scripture. Saying the word "Berean" and being one are two different things... as is the term "Sola Scriptura". Many affirm this; few practice it. May Christ continue to be formed in you. Sit at His feet often.

YES!!!!!!! This is exactly what Jesus has been showing me since He delivered me and gave me a new life!!! I am so very thankful that He guided me to the internet and youtube for wonderful, Biblical teaching! I am thankful for this man and his teaching, which is sound and a delight to hear!!! We ARE fellowshipping online, we are learning online, we read and pray at home and hear from our Lord ourselves, and we obey Him. We must each hear from the One who leads and guides us...and, we must each obey Him. Sing songs of praise all day...in your mind or out loud. Pray as the Spirit leads you, give as you are led to give. Pray for the others like you who are out there. The Lord Jesus will lead you to those He wants you to minister to, pray for, heal, and deliver. He IS the head of His church and He can lead like NO other!!!!!

The realization that pastors, in fact the whole of churchianity, are found no where in scripture is growing in numbers. I agree that fundamentally the Plymouth Brethren had the closest orthopraxy concerning the assembly to what is found in scripturd though I disagree with them on other points. Pastors unfortunately are highly narcissistic, highly manipulative and have a bit of a stranglehold on their battered sheep. It is quite an unfortunate situation. I am hoping that this topic will be debated thoroughly. It would be great to see you in a debate with Todd Friel - who is OBSESSED with pastors. I hope you will update this video maybe with better audio.

The word "pastor" is in the bible. The following verse is from the KJV. Jeremiah 3:15 "And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding."

@@metalgear5198 clearly in this context I am referring to the professional who by vocation gives a weekly speech or other kind of performance. The word pastor or pastors are in several parts of the bible but never in reference to the modern practice.

Brother, I can't thank you enough for your videos. I respect they way you analyze and divide the Scripture. I too am disappointed in this modern construct called "the church". desert signal - Thank you for the encouragement, and I'm glad you have received some benefit from this. I went to your channel, and watched a couple of videos. You seem to be on the right track, my friend. In "Where's your map?" you were correct to assert that the Bible must be our final authority. Yes, the Holy Spirit has reign, but He will never contradict the very Words He inspired. Amen. I have one suggestion and one question. My suggestion is that you think about the video title. If you want more people to see the video, it must find its way more easily into the search engine. Think of titles that people are likely to search for; as well as tags. That might help get your messages out a bit. My question is this: Do you live in Los Lunas, New Mexico by chance?

    • @desertsignal5860
      @desertsignal5860 7 лет назад +1

+Servus Christi - Thank you for helping me. I need brothers like you to keep me accountable. I don't put out videos often, but when I do, I want to make sure they are sound according to scripture. My biggest fear is leading my brothers and sisters in Christ astray with bad information. I admire your diligence and attention to detail in your videos and your written comments. The brethren needs people like yourself and I am glad to have found you. To answer your question, I live on the East coast but am a big fan of the Southwest. Some of my pics on my videos are of New Mexico when I was visiting. If you are in the area. I assume you are because of your state flag, it would be good if we can break bread sometime. In the meantime, I will keep in touch with you on youtube and thru email. I assume your your email is servuschristi@gmail.com? I am very new to making youtube videos so I am not sure how to email people that I see on youtube. BTW, check out this false teacher making videos on a channel called "BibleisMarkofBeast". He is doing some serious damage to new believers and seekers.

Unsolicited advice I encourage you brother to do some more research. John 8:32 "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.” Here is one of my comment addressed to servus christi :
You said "Pastors (English for POIMEN in greek) do not exist and are not found in the scripture (IN YOUR VIDEO TIME 5:5-11). But in Ephesians 4:11-12 it is clearly mentioned. Pastor and bishop are used interchangeably in the bible. They are both shepherds/overseers. The role of the pastors (POIMEN) in the time of Paul and today are the same: TO SHEPHERD. The chief Shepherd (POIMEN) is Jesus Christ Himself. If we look at the example of Jesus' shepherding we can find it in Psalms 23 HE protects, leads, feeds etc. the flock. I believe this is also the very thing that Jesus wants the pastors (poimen) to do today. Yes we cannot read "Senior pastor" in the Bible but the Bible does not said "DO NOT be a senior pastor of A church?
Here is the excerpt from theopedia.com/pastor
Poimen , the word for pastor, or shepherd, is used a number of times in the New Testament, but Ephesians 4:11 is the only place in the King James Version where it is translated "pastor." Every other time it appears in the Greek texts, it is translated "shepherd" in the English version.
Two of the three times it appears in the epistles, poimen refers to Christ. Hebrews 13:20-21 is a benediction: "Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd [poimen] of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will." First Peter 2:25 says, "For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd [poimen] and Guardian [episkopos] of your souls."
In Ephesians 4:11, pastor [poimen] is used with the word teacher. The Greek construction there indicates that the two terms go together--we might hyphenate them in English ("pastor-teacher"). The emphasis is on the pastor's ministry of teaching.
Poimen , then, emphasizes the pastoral role of caring and feeding, although the concept of leadership is also inherent in the picture of a shepherd. The focus of the term poimen is on the man's attitude. To be qualified as a pastor, a man must have a shepherd's caring heart.

Great video! It was truly devoid of any strife. As I seek to become more biblical, I encounter the same problem of overcoming the traditions of men. I would like to know what you did. Did you leave the "church?" Or, did you seek to change it from within?

Clint White - It is interesting to note that the intention of Martin Luther, initially, was to change the Catholic Church from within. He found this to be an insurmountable task. One of two things happen when one tries to reform from within. Either you are reassimilated, or purged. For Luther it was the latter. Recall that Jesus prepared NEW WINESKINS knowing that you cannot put new wine into old wineskins. The difference here is that the "wine" is not new, this is simply a return to what once was. That said, there is so much tradition that has been constructed that in order to properly build anew we must first deconstruct what is in the way. You must first demolish the standing structure so that you have space enough to build correctly. I had no choice but to leave the institution because I could not, in good conscience, continue to support a system I could not justify from the Scriptures. I saw less and less of the influence of the Lord and more the influence of modern business and marketing. Either Jesus controls His church or the IRS does, it cannot be both. My parents actually confronted their "pastor" with some of these concerns and they were quickly told to leave their "nay saying" ideas at the door. At some point these men are so invested that they cannot give it up. Their very livelihood depends upon this system. Money, money, money, money is a root of so much evil. Much more to be said about this.If you have any other questions please let me know and i'll do my best to answer coherently. Godspeed, Clint.

I like this message. I just wanted to point out that the word pastor in the old testament verifies the idea of a false position and system. Jeremiah 12:10 "Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness".Jeremiah 10:21 “For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.”

J Z forgive me because I don’t have my Bible with me, but in Acts the apostles talk about what is to be expected of the gentiles as believers. They concluded the gentiles did not even need to be circumcised but refrain from consuming blood. To me this shows that gentiles are not to hold the Law of Moses. Paul also talks about those that are circumcised must keep the whole law of the circumcision, which as far as I know is the only place that tattoos are talked about. Because we are under the New Testament it seems that tattoos are okay.

Thanks so much for pointing out the truth with Scriptures. People will have some food for thought and those who are honest will gravitate to the truth and prayerfully join with others who hold to it. Our confusion and disunity shows we are not all of God.
    1Corinthians 14:33
... for God is not a God of confusion but of [a]peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
    John 17:22
The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; 23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected [b]in unity, so that the world may [c]know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.

I am in Australia, and enjoying all your teachings. I love your honesty and calling out of people who have fallen by associating themselves with wolves. It saddens me that they are not listening to your correction, and their unwillingness to do so, just shows me that they are not repentant at all, so therefore are wolves themselves. They are selling themselves and God out for their own profit. Shame on them. You are right on everything on every video I have seen. Keep up the good work. May God protect you and continue to lead you in His ways. God bless you....
