Whitebeard and Shiki remind me more of Law and Kidd during Roofpiece. Law already had his own crew but was on the StrawHat's ship and Kidd always thought he was stronger than he actually was.
I’ve always said that they provided similar roles to Luffy as they did to Roger. Law is Luffy’s good friend and really has no interest in the Pirate King title. Kid sees Luffy as competition and is always willing to fight someone to prove his point. Kid ESPECIALLY.
It's not a matter of Kid thinking he's stronger than he actually is, he and Shiki are evidently VERY strong. It's a matter of the two of them being extremely competitive and always trying to pick a fight. Kid was plenty strong on the rooftop/Onigashima, as were Luffy and Law. The three of them were recognized and given respect for their strength by both Kaido and (especially) Big Mom. Kid isn't Yonko level, sure, but he's not weak by any means. Kid breaking arms, Law breaking ribs, Big Mom felt them HARD (pause). Kid and Shiki are just violent, competitive hot-heads is all. I wouldn't exactly say they overestimate themselves, seeing as how Kid worked with Law to sort of cheat with magma pool and defeat Big Mom. He wouldn't have worked with Law to begin with if he hadn't realized they were too weak individually. Too bad our guy Eustass Mid is now Under D. Sea, mans got blindsided by Shanks D. Snitch. He's a tank, but there's only so much that can be done against "The Haki Man" himself. At least he and Law were both able to put in fantastic work and really shine in a great tag-team fight before they got wiped off the map lol.
Moria supposedly started making zombies after he lost against kaido and got his whole crew killed, since then he's traumatized and doesn't want to lost crewmembers ever again.

I thought Kuma was the only Buccaneer at the time but I was mistaken! This means Rocks has the blood of a giant! So much foreshadowing. Like The punishment of the Buccaneer race, Buccaneers link to Joyboy, Luffy’s Gear 5 ability that turns him into a giant, the giant Strawhat that Imu preserved and the Strawhats heading to Albalf. So many possibilities to Joyboy, the Will of D and potentially the giant race! Edit: Back in 2007 Oda explained that a pirate with an eye-patch will appear in the final phase of One Piece. What if that pirate is a flashback of Rocks?!

Everyone keeps saying the Rocks pirates resemble the Strawhats, but to me it seems more like the Luffy x Law x Kid alliance, constantly bickering and trying to assert themselves as the leader, Law getting mad at Luffy for giving him orders etc etc. And really it wouldn't surprise me if they were not actually a crew but just all happened to be there at the same time and Morgans wrote the story making it seem like they were one big scary crew.

When she ate the fruit, she had no control as she was regressed into the body of an infant. So, Kuma had to care for her as she learned to control her abilities.

Besides Whitebeard, Gloriosa seems to be the only other good person in the crew.

I definitely think Gloriosa fell for Rocks. Just picture if Hancock was standing next to Luffy while (insert any prior damsel princess in distress) is all over Luffy. She would be PISSED to the point of violent outbursts. Glorious just seems mildly annoyed at Stussy and Stussy calls her out because she's likely even more clingy with Rocks. And the nail in the coffin is her reaction to reading the news about the imminent war between WB and the Marines. She was shocked but not seeming to have an intimate personal stake in the conflict other than needing Hancock to participate to keep her Warlord status.

in regards to the orphans looking like God's Knights, I don't think it's too farfetched to assume that some kids might have gotten away while Linlin was eating. But the fact that they would have become God's Knights is absurd to me. From what we understand, God's knights aren't just a secret military force. They are Celestial Dragons who are very skilled in combat. You could argue they could have gotten their status back if they were Celestial Dragons already but got separated somehow, but we see through Doflamingo that you can't just get that status back. York could have been a CD because the Gorosei would have granted her that status themselves while we still don't know the whole deal with Shanks.
2 things: 1) Mother Caramel was specifically looking for and raising "special" children that could be sold at very high prices to people like CP9. All those kids had to have something that made them valuable. What and to what extent, I don't fully know. But it's not unbelievable to me that they could've had enough potential to become strong enough to be God's Knights. And... 2) I'm not so sure the God's Knights are in fact celestial dragons themselves. I mean, I assumed they were at first, and to be fair, they most likely are. But in this chapter, we have Garling telling his fellow God's Knights to "protect the celestial dragons." The way it's worded, it's almost like the CDs are separate from them. Or at least, him making the distinction makes it seem like he at least views them as a separate group. So maybe they're not actually part of the celestial dragons. Another thing to consider on that point is, I don't believe the celestial dragons actually know about Imu's existence, but the God's Knights almost certainly do! They are after all Imu's personal guards, are they not. And also, I feel like it would be weird for almost half of all the CD families to have a God's Knights representative. Idk, the more and more I think about it, the more I think they aren't actually CDs themselves.
@phoenix_kamikaze it's the fact that they participate in the extinction event that seels it for me and that the Gorosei view them at a higher pedegree than the usual CDs. They're the only force capable of passing judgement on CDs if needed. And they also mention fighting for their specific families in the extinction event. On top of that, the CDs actually treat them with respect, which they don't for the Fleet Admiral or even CP0. I think it's more likely they are elite CDs who are kinda in their own league, akin to the Gorosei themselves, albeit with nowhere near as much authority. I could be misremembering, but I think the God's Knights are more the bodyguards of the Gorosei or at least are just the personal judicial source for CDs themselves. I don't think it's been stated that they protect Imu personally, tho it wouldn't surprise me if they do know they exist. I think the Gorosei are more likely to be Imu's guards. Garling saying "protect the Celestial Dragons" could also be another interpretation of them viewing themselves above normal humans. In addition, glCD women were simping over Garling when he cut down the king. If he weren't CD, I doubt they would have acted like that to him. You do bring up ood points, but the evidence just points to them being CDs too who just have a higher authority or rank
Due to the slight age gap between the admirals and the yonkos, I always just assumed that Sengoku was the only admiral back in the day but the navy later bumped the number to 3 to match the yonkos. Because we know Shanks is relatively new as a yonko and they never said he took anyone out to get labeled as such so I just assumed that 8yrs prior when he wasnt a yonko yet, there was only big mom, kaido and whitebeard so they navy placed one admiral for each of them
I think Bonny is the daughter of Ginny and Kuma but she is way younger than she actually looks, she might be around 5 or 10 but looks older thank to her devil fruit... Vegapunk said several times that she is just a child during the egghead arc

Scopper confirmed that captains get special privileges with fighting the strongest of other crews. So Rayleigh, Beckman, and Zoro should all get their respect because they are all equally as strong as their captain, but the captain gets the big fish unless they get defeated.

I definitely think Gloriosa fell for Rocks. Just picture if Hancock was standing next to Luffy while (insert any prior damsel princess in distress) is all over Luffy. She would be PISSED to the point of violent outbursts. Glorious just seems mildly annoyed at Stussy and Stussy calls her out because she's likely even more clingy with Rocks. And the nail in the coffin is her reaction to reading the news about the imminent war between WB and the Marines. She was shocked but not seeming to have an intimate personal stake in the conflict other than needing Hancock to participate to keep her Warlord status.
I honestly think Gloriosa was in love with Kaido. She is the only one with white hair amongst the Rocks pirates and actually looks similar to Yamato.
2 more admirals would make no sense, For them to not be mentioned up till now and then just appear out of nowhere would be kinda bogus and feel forced, one of the things i love about one piece is we know alot of major players from very far back , if oda doesn't introduce a top player the reasons we dont know about them before are very well explained, like the yonko controlling the second half the the grandline is why we didnt know about the in the first half, Garp, whitebeard, sengoku, rayleigh, big mom, kaido, someone would of mentioned 2 other admirals during the glory days of roger and rocks, maybe those 2 admirals died but i feel like they would of still been mentioned

in regards to the orphans looking like God's Knights, I don't think it's too farfetched to assume that some kids might have gotten away while Linlin was eating. But the fact that they would have become God's Knights is absurd to me. From what we understand, God's knights aren't just a secret military force. They are Celestial Dragons who are very skilled in combat. You could argue they could have gotten their status back if they were Celestial Dragons already but got separated somehow, but we see through Doflamingo that you can't just get that status back. York could have been a CD because the Gorosei would have granted her that status themselves while we still don't know the whole deal with Shanks.
2 things:
1) Mother Caramel was specifically looking for and raising "special" children that could be sold at very high prices to people like CP9. All those kids had to have something that made them valuable. What and to what extent, I don't fully know. But it's not unbelievable to me that they could've had enough potential to become strong enough to be God's Knights. And...
2) I'm not so sure the God's Knights are in fact celestial dragons themselves. I mean, I assumed they were at first, and to be fair, they most likely are. But in this chapter, we have Garling telling his fellow God's Knights to "protect the celestial dragons." The way it's worded, it's almost like the CDs are separate from them. Or at least, him making the distinction makes it seem like he at least views them as a separate group. So maybe they're not actually part of the celestial dragons. Another thing to consider on that point is, I don't believe the celestial dragons actually know about Imu's existence, but the God's Knights almost certainly do! They are after all Imu's personal guards, are they not. And also, I feel like it would be weird for almost half of all the CD families to have a God's Knights representative. Idk, the more and more I think about it, the more I think they aren't actually CDs themselves.
@phoenix_kamikaze it's the fact that they participate in the extinction event that seels it for me and that the Gorosei view them at a higher pedegree than the usual CDs. They're the only force capable of passing judgement on CDs if needed. And they also mention fighting for their specific families in the extinction event. On top of that, the CDs actually treat them with respect, which they don't for the Fleet Admiral or even CP0.
I think it's more likely they are elite CDs who are kinda in their own league, akin to the Gorosei themselves, albeit with nowhere near as much authority. I could be misremembering, but I think the God's Knights are more the bodyguards of the Gorosei or at least are just the personal judicial source for CDs themselves. I don't think it's been stated that they protect Imu personally, tho it wouldn't surprise me if they do know they exist. I think the Gorosei are more likely to be Imu's guards. Garling saying "protect the Celestial Dragons" could also be another interpretation of them viewing themselves above normal humans. In addition, glCD women were simping over Garling when he cut down the king. If he weren't CD, I doubt they would have acted like that to him.
You do bring up ood points, but the evidence just points to them being CDs too who just have a higher authority or rank

Due to the slight age gap between the admirals and the yonkos, I always just assumed that Sengoku was the only admiral back in the day but the navy later bumped the number to 3 to match the yonkos. Because we know Shanks is relatively new as a yonko and they never said he took anyone out to get labeled as such so I just assumed that 8yrs prior when he wasnt a yonko yet, there was only big mom, kaido and whitebeard so they navy placed one admiral for each of them
