I believe the Doctor eventually calls Captain Jack Harkness an omnisexual - which basically means if his anatomy fits, he's up for it. Male, female, human, alien, whatever, Jack will flirt, and so on, if there is sparkage!
The actor who plays Captain Jack, John Barrowman, is one of those rare triple threats... he can act, sing, and dance! Oh, and has charm coming out of every pore! Perfect casting!
This story is generally considered to be one of the best "new Who" storylines. It's certainly up there among my favourites. Often, Doctor Who can end up being a bit of a pastiche of itself but here it manages to have a threat that is new and deadly serious, not just the return of an old enemy, a solution that is logically consistent with the threat and plenty of fun along the way.
I fn love Captain Jack as well. I can't think of any other character who gives me more happiness when I see him. He really loves life and enjoys it to its fullness.
The way Jack has been been described he isn't gay, bi, pan or anything along those lines, in fact those categories are a foreign concept to him, he doesn't think about things in that restricted way, he is interested in anything and everything without much limit, the idea of these catagories are quaint to him, he's from a far distant future where things like that are just behind them. You like what you like and you go for it and Jack will like anything.
And this was the Episode were I went like "I did not see that coming am staying" and since then I'm a Dotor Who Fan and never left, sometimese I need a minute to catch up bc life and stuff but overall it's a good show none the less.^^
Cpt Jack had his own spin off from doctor who "Torchwood" witch ended with a mini series (pretty damn good one) Pay close attention to the character there is more then meets the eye.
You will have to watch Torchwood. It is a spinoff that happens the 2 season of the reboot. I love Captain Jack as well. And I can't tell you why cuz Spoilers. Which well Spoilers ..Which is a favorite thing in Dr Who to say.
I'm sure others will say this, but as a Time Agent Jack has been pretty much all around, so he is actually (officially) omnisexual, since you can't really classify aliens in otherwise :D
Controversial opinion i was never really into the Captain Jack character he's ok but i don't think he's as great of a character as he's made out but the episodes were great definately.
I am well into series 3 on Patreon at time of posting !

“Just this once, everybody lives!” This is when I fell in love with this show.
I was already in love, but this cemented the relationship!
YES!
Captain Jack is instantly likable
Def !
Don’t worry Captain Jack has a whole show of his own

Jack is such a great character! You'll be pleased to hear he appears again! He was not a wasted character during this era!
Thank goodness !

It wasn't Christopher Eccelston dancing at the end. It was John Barrowman (Captain Jack). Eccelston was hopeless at dancing, so Barrowman stepped in.
That "I'm here" was terrifying... Literal shivers.
I love Captain Jack tho, he's one of my fave characters in this show :)
3:37 is engrained in my head since i was like 4 years old as one of the greatest, most terrifying moments of this entire show!
captain jack is s tier
I love Captain Jack and the first two and a half seasons of his spin-off series Torchwood. And the fact that he's played by an out gay actor is great.
Ditto! As far as I'm concerned the last bit of COE never happened 🙈🙉
@@jenniferpaddock3862 Same.
If you like Captain Jack, have a look at 'Torchwood'. Torchwood is a spin off of Dr Who, but I only found it to be just okay.

Yeah, I'd say that the only requirement is that whomever has a pulse.
And even then, thats not a deal-breaker.
I always love it when the Doctor dances.
I love the end of this episode!
Same !

Captain Jack is Omni-sexual. He will and has effed everything including a variety of aliens with their own sexual categories.

I can't believe this has been up for 2 minutes and I haven't clicked it

10:59 nice 😂
I’m a lyricist !
SWEET HOME ALABAMA! This twist doesn't get old.
Oh, and Jack is pansexual. He has hots for literally everyone.
Thank goodness for that.
There is a Harkness Test in Internet memes :p
@@TravisViews I think he's described as omnisexual. Humans, aliens, whatever and Jack is interested 😅
I think you could guess who the mummy is.
You might know the Captain Jack actor if you've watch Arrow, he plays Malcolm Merlin there 😊
