As i heard about korea, it's a conformist country. You have to follow all the rules, trends, culture etc. Koreans in the Philippines and also from what i saw in their k dramas says that it's quite a struggle and sometimes quite suffocating for them to live there particularly if they're not doing well. Philippines is quite different, so it's a bit of a fresh air to them. in PH you must strictly follow the law, but you don't have to follow the trend or the " norms". You can be "uneducated" and poor and you will not be ostracized by the human society, you still belong. In short, you will have freedom to choose follow, and do whatever you like provided it's not againts the law.

To be honest, I’ve noticed that most Koreans know very little about other countries in the world. As Koreans get offended when they are asked this question, also other people around the world may think Koreans are “ignorant” when asked about other cultures. I have no problem with Koreans at all but it seems that they think that they are the BEST humans living in this world (most Koreans) with the fact that they know very little about other cultures (no offense). I hope Koreans will be more educated and considerate towards other nationalities in future. Wish you all the best KAHEVA💕

I have to agree with the man above me. I don't know your age or cultural background, but if these past eight years in Korea have taught me anything, it's that most Asian women have no interest in marrying a Western man. The only Korean woman who seriously dates/marries a western man is the below-average women who couldn't get the type of Korean man she was after. You will NEVER be her first choice, especially if you're not ethnically Korean.

A good Video, interesting Viewpoints. This Reading of "Love your Enemy" is very good and very true, albeit a Reading not common to me -- thank you for making me aware of that Interpretation. I have stumbled upon your Channel only yesterday. From your brief Reference here to God having died for us, I may assume that you identify as a Christian? I know that Christianity is a Lot more common in South Korea than it is in Japan. At the same Time, though, you say "don't live for God, don't even die [for God]", and thinking of Saints and Martyrs, I personally find it more christian to try and respect their Attempts and/or Successes at offering up their Lives to God. So, now I am a Bit confused about the exact Stance which you are taking here -- maybe you could clarify this for me?

Thank you Kaheva for your informative video.
For your information, about 400 North Koreans defectors live in UK, mainly in and around New Maldon in south West London. They find that they didn't fit in living in South Korea, so chose to move to UK where they can be accepted as being Korean living in a foreign land. Still doesn't stop them being confused for being Chinese or Japanese, hence preference for New Maldon where the wider local population is better able to distinguish who is or not Korean.

As a Korean American living in the states for 33 years I wasn’t sure about much Korean culture except pop culture since I left Seoul when I was young. I’m learning a lot from your videos and agrees with the most of your points. Thanks for these educational speeches.

@ My father was into Confucian, I understand some of his thoughts and ways. Like you reported about the table, you had to have certain manners at the table. My uncle would tell me to read the news papers, and he was in a old picture with a book, maybe a Confucian book. It was a interested topic of tradition and being discretion in dialog with Koreans. Every religion or knowledge is debateable. God can not die, only Jesus Christ died within 3 days or nights in hours of 3 days or nights, for lost mankind, being the Lamb of God. read John 14:6; God's witness is his Son. Remember Jesus Christ over came death, and the grave, death could not hold or cause Jesus's body to rot or become dust. Make sure you speak about God, and his Son.. You have to be a true prophetress of God. You are not speaking according to God's written words in the new testament books, There are strong Christians in Korea. The words spoken at the ending part I did not agree with you. What you spoke did not line up with God's written words. Just test or examine yourself, opinions are our ways and thoughts. It is people's sins that fetter or chains their sins within or sealed in their soul and heart. Do not add to or take away from God's written words. You speak to many people, and you need to be very responsible to represent God truthful, and add not opinions, or a mixture. The Bible is the, Book (of) Instruction, Before, Leaving , Earth. B.I.B.L.E. You did a great job in How to Talk With a Korean..And you have a lot of understanding about Confucian.

I believe the idea of God not dying but Jesus was implied by common understanding and didn’t need to be spelled out for everyone.

@@user-kd3uu1ic4w @read in the 4 gospel books with a open mind and eyes.Slowly meditate the Lamb of God, on the cross, innocent dying for mankind, so you will not perish. He shed his blood to wash your sins away.

@@user-kd3uu1ic4w you’re right. It’s in the first 4 gospels, and all through the rest of the New Testament. It is past tense. He has already died for your sins of past lives and has established a new covenant.

Whilst it is highly unlikely that I will ever knowingly encounter someone from Korea, let alone have the fortune to visit Korea, I feel it is important to educate myself about customs, traditions and cultures from around the world. Only by learning and reflecting can we ourselves grow and in turn enable others to do the same. It is very interesting to compare and contrast the roles of Confucianism in Korea and Shinto and Zen Buddhism in Japan, and how this has shaped your cultures and also how they compare to Western societies, it also invited reflection on how and why different Western societies are similar and how and why they differ, and what this means.
Whilst there are so many cultural differences between us all, we have far more points of commonality than dissimilarity.
