GR Yaris *In Car* YouTube.. Wireless

One Car Stereo sent me a wireless Smart Box Ai, stating that it could eliminate the need for a cabled connection and obtain Wireless Car Play on my Toyota GR Yaris, GR Corolla, GR86 and 99% of wired Car Play cars. And it is a worthwhile infotainment upgrade indeed!
In reality, it does even more: it enables me to use my phone as a personal hotspot and access RUclips, Netflix, Prime Video and more Apps directly thru the car's display, unlocking most wanted entertainment for passengers in long trips or waiting in the car.
The installation is a very straight forward, set and forget procedure.

@@AJClubsport In UK the new ones are being rationed. They didnt allocate one to me despite having bought a new one in 2021. I’m now looking at the gorgeous new Honda Prelude, instead, and hoping they do an R version with Civic R mechanicals.

The only thing is that because you are mirroring your phone the phone battery will run flat if not plugged in. This is ok if you have a usb or equivalent in your arm rest or glove box where you can plug both the phone and the converter out of eyesight
I would have thought a man of your talent could connect up a wireless pad which will kill 2 birds with one stone🦆🦅🐆 💎

You have a great point Michael, this is the main drawback: the point in real life is that during short commutes you don’t need to charge the battery. During longer ones, you can plug it in, but you always benefit of the RUclips and other Apps directly on the car’s monitor, that you just wouldn’t have without this box!

Of course mate, but given what it is, this is so small you won’t even see it once you’ve attached it to the passenger side of the central tunnel with some velcro!
