      Different AWD modes? You mean the ‘track’ ‘sport’, etc?

    I leave mine in normal mode for a cheeky race, i just thought of drivetrain loss. Also hold traction control button down so its fully off. Notice if i leave it on it goes slower because it doesn't let it spin a little bit. And heat soak is so bad, i found using a Bluetooth scan tool gauges, once intake temps go over 50-52 degrees it pulls timing and has less power. That can be just on drive into town and getting couple of traffic lights. I bought a second bonnet from Toyota and put my own vents in. $400+ for stock bonnet and ebay vents. Dropped the temps around 8-10 degrees. That way is cheaper and probably less weight then a carbon bonnet. Next i want a project west inertcooler because its the thinnest and biggest surface area, compared to the short thick ones that would get heat soaked

      But also if you do intercooler you have to get your car tuned because the intercooler introduces valve float (explained in detail in nemtec video)

      @@Faithfps they said they had to pull back boost on their tune after installing a new ic, they didnt say you have to get a tune when you get an aftermarket ic. basically it was just making more power because the air was denser. you arent going to float valves without a tune.

    Be interested in seeing how much the OEM intercooler spray helps on short bursts in terms of heat sink. Spent the last couple of weekends installing it on my car as I'm planning on using it for rallysprints. Wasn't too difficult in the end.

    You should chuck on a weldspeed intake manifold
    Coz daam it pulls super hard now

      Can you slap them on without a tune?

    This was interesting - just out of interested did you verify 2WD mode that the rear wheels were not powered? I have just done quite a bit of testing where in 2WD mode the rear wheels were still powered as the clutch packs were still engaged (but not powered).

      Both times it was put in the factory ‘Dyno Mode’ so I would assume that everything was disconnected plus both times it came back with similar results within a 3kw fluctuation. It’s tough with these new cars, they have so much stuff going on everywhere 😂

      @@thejonesyexpress I can't say when I'll get around to the video but my GR that's 3.5 years old with 22k miles rear wheels spin in FWD Dyno mode (hub Dyno but only front hubs).
      Basically have heard of a few where the packs are still locked even if partially.
      Cheers for the response and nice gains!

    Different number are caused by lsd doesn't like dyno and there for tries to pull power out of it both fwd and awd

    Aren’t they supposed to have 260hp ?

    • @thejonesyexpress
      @thejonesyexpress  2 месяца назад

      Yeah, at the flywheel, not at wheels

    • @remyche8768
      @remyche8768 2 месяца назад

      All factory specs hp are from the engine, not the wheels. Like gt86 brz ect say 200hp "at the flywheel" so once power goes through the gearbox, tailsharft, diff. "Drive train loss" they would be like 150hp at the wheels

    • @masteryoda6777
      @masteryoda6777 2 месяца назад

      In that case it should be stated whp not hp

      @@remyche8768not always. Some cars like the Elantra N has the advertised hp at the wheels.

    No wonder my fiesta ST feels quick. Its doesn't have a parasitic drive train.

      Then it’s the right car for you. I’ll stick with the GR, drivetrain losses and all.

      My GRY with a DTUK box loses 1 car length to my dads 6.1l v8 Dodge Challenger SRT8 in a 15kph - 120kph dash. That car has 465hp with a diablo tune. The only reason he pulls away is the auto in the Challenger is quicker than my manual shifts.
