A showcase of the #1 Hot 100 Song from each year, starting in 1959, which was the first full year of the Hot 100. Before 1991, year end lists were calculated with an inverse point system. After 1991 (the Soundscan era), year end lists are calculated using real points based on streaming, sales, and radio data.
