THANK YOU, for properly Attributing the credit of this song. Nothing frustrates me more when it comes to covers as some DB saying, "ummm, we're gonna play All Along The Watchtower by ummm, Dave Matthews" Another good one was "Angie, by Tori Amos"
All the sounds are handled by the Line 6 POD, or even a X3 Live (like I have). They are very nice guitars. you can do pretty much anything with them. Instant Drop tuning, make it sound like a Banjo, you name it, you can pretty much program it.
Hey Erich, thanks for the lesson. I wasn't aware about Otis Redding either but just found it on Spotify. Album is Pure Southern Soul. Just letting you know in case you wanted to hear it.
I used to play this at a jam session in Berlin - it lends itself well to multi guitar jamming. I also struggled to pick out a part and ended up with a loose Chuck berry- esque boogie riff. It was great to hear another very nice sounding and simple interpretation, so thank you very much Erich.

Hi Eric, This is the first time I've heard you mention "my band". Does your band have a facebook page and does it post when and where you will be playing next? I thoroughly enjoy your tutorials but would LOVE to come see you play.

FYI Otis Redding wrote it. Tony Joe White also did an awesome cover of it in 1970.
Thanks, nice lesson

Line Six Variax guitars have pickups imbedded in the guitar.
Thank you my friend. I appreciate you & kind comment. please, follow me on Fb & Twitter.
e :)
um....where r ur pickups?
that sure is a pretty guitar
Some Line 6 Variax have no visible pickups
where are the pickups? is it one of those digital guitars?
Piezo pickups on each string. It is a modeling guitar so it can sound like multiple guitars and tunings just by rotating the knobs.
the sage did a whole review on this guitar and never mentioned the pick ups. but nobody is perfect..
Hey ninjas! Check out my free online course at: www.yourguitarsage.com/free-ugs-membership

That's not how they play it on the record. Maybe it's a different position of what they did on the record, but it's not what my ears are hearing
