Six cars existed. Only three have publicly surfaced as of this date (December 2020).
I've done my best to get accurate information about these cars and so here is what is known as of this time. - Развлечения
Tokyo Drift has it's share of iconic cars too - the red Evo, the RX-7, and this S15. It's honestly my favorite one in the series
Same tbh. I love jdm cars. As much as I love the first fast and furious the second one is probably my favorite because of that reason
The RB Mustang was insane
Right!!! I love it and I even know what's with it and I don't care!!!
The ae86
DK's 350 too
That's such an honor to end up in one of your videos ! Thanks a lot ! :D I've made quite a few videos about F&F cars but they're all in french sorry ! :D
J'suis sûr, quand il t'a vu en vidéo, il t'a pris pour Vin Diesel
Merci!
I wonder how many people know that there’s 2 s15s in the movie. The Mona Lisa and the one that Sean used when he was gonna race Dom
I just realized that
YES FINALLY IT CAME
Didn't niko already killed you?
He didn’t
That's what she said
@@lepigion4277 huge if true
Hha gta 4
I am of the opinion that F&F:Tokyo Drift was the ONLY F&F movie that was about street racing.
All the others were heist movies.
fax
Tokyo drift is my favorite of the series
The 1st one had the most Street racing. Toyko drift was literally about drifting which is different from street racing.
How about the other S15 in Tokyo Drift? The one that Sean build after becoming a local drifter, and is barelly seen on camera on the final scene.
Tokyo Drift made me fell in love with the S15, both the Mona Lisa and that other one in the final scene. Years later, now a grown up man, I'm proud owner of a Meihan-spec drift S15 Spec R. Such an amazing car
Exactly, Sean's S15 looked beautiful, even if we haven't seen the full glory of it. Just from these few shots I can already see how great looking it is.
I believe that car was rented as is. Belonged to someone else.
Pretty sure that was a professional drift s15. I think its the Swift S15 iirc
that was wisesquare/swift springs sema drift car that they built back in the day. Uchida San owns the car.
The second sentence is awesome. Gotta appreciate the random humor Craig puts in.
This was my favorite car when I watched this movie as a kid back in the late 2000s. As an adult, this is still one of my favorites lol. Timeless car.
Ya this early 00 car gives me that need for speed underground vide and I love it for that.
Fandom isn’t about reality, it’s about canon. Canonically, the car had a RB26.
That Sylvia is sweet! As for other cars in Tokyo Drift, I can tell you one of DK's 350Z stunt cars was used as a Formula Drift race car for a few seasons. I got to ride in it, drive it and have some fun!
Han's labor ain't cheap..ya feel me?
When fandoms and such write that the Mona Lisa S15 is RB26 powered they're technically not wrong. In the movie it's supposed to be rb-powered, even if the real cars runs something else behind the scenes..
Yeah, those fandom dot com wikis tend to be written from an "in universe" perspective; they're not really aiming to document what the IRL cars were fitted with. So it might be a tiny bit unfair to call them fake news.
monalisa was the reason i bought s14a z-e (would be s15 but rhd is no go for my style of driving) dam i just realized i got all my cars due to this man work/passion... wait... he is the godfather of everything related to car scene after 2001... sir thank you for sparking passion in us and showin us the way!
Real men shift with their left hand.
I don't think Craig understands that a site like Fandom is intended to give the in-universe specs. It's like complaining that a wiki page gives us the fictional character's biography rather than the actor's.
Except for the fact that Fandom is Blatantly WRONG. All the time.
@@willthenismoman4854 i wouldnt go that bold in confidence on that statement. think of it like this, if its not anywhere in the story, anything made up. can be a fact wether we like it or not. for all anyone actually knows, brian could of grown up in the trunk of a car eating tires and his 3 middle names are stacy hard wired. sure its dumb as all fuckery but you cant say its not true bcuz its never said otherwise in the movies. no proof its not true. (its been a while idk if it ever said his middle name lol) on the other hand. yeah you are kinda right. he never drove an escalade under a semi in the first movie. get over it and dont use the site if you dont like it.
@@willthenismoman4854 You're wrong. Fandom gives the car MOVIE UNIVERSE specs not ACTUAL REAL WORLD. Has that gotten through the skull yet?
@@ACommenterOnRUclips Thanks for AGREEING WITH ME LOUDLY.
@@ACommenterOnRUclips I think your brain lacks power, bruv.
You just reiterated what I said, for no reason. Nobody was disagreeing.
I guess for fandom, the specs are the “Canon, in universe fictional” specs.
That'swhat I think too
"It made a BIG impact......like here, and here, and here..and here 🤣🤣🤣"
These cars are movie characters. I like how you treat them as such. Pointing out how they are portrayed in the films vs how they are in real life. The engine detail of this car is a great example of this! Thank you Craig!
Adam lz may possibly have one. He said when he got it, it was rumored to be one of the stunt cars. He said he couldn't confirm it when he got it. It's now green.
Can confirm one of these "6" car's is in Eugene, Oregon. Look up Praxis wheels s15 to confirm. It was used as a show car for a wheel brand.:)
Dude was a total POS. Took multiple wheel orders had customers pay upfront 5k + then ghosted them. It was quite a shit show a few years back. His ex owned the car but he kept it when they split. He eventually wrecked it trying to drift on back road then his ex took it back and must have finally sold it.
Checked on that car. It's not a real movie car.
@@craiglieberman haha go figure 😂
That car was originally from Canada. Defs not a picture car.
We all know that an original S15 came stock with the Gallo-12
Sounds like a gallo 24
Never knew pizza places made motors. 🍕 🚘
That Fandom comment is bullshit. Anybody who's watched your videos knows damn well the performance of these cars in real life is almost never what the movies claim they are. Fandoms are usually dedicated to the lore for lack of a better term and the lore says it had that engine in it. Fandom doesn't give a damn about real life unless it specifically says so in the context
Thought it was in pretty poor taste for him to shit on a website ran by dedicated fans of the series just because their sources weren’t 100% accurate. Could have just politely stated there’s a few discrepancies on that site
@@NitroNuggetTV if you watch this guy's videos you'll realize he's a dbag. He's salty about the fact that he never had any REAL say so in the making of the movies.
@@sgt.lincolnosiris4111 So I guess you had ANY saying hahahaha lmao. Still, you are a nobody on the internet and Craig actually had cars in those movies so who really is a dbag hahaha
@@andre2k434 wouldn't want any say in those terrible movies. And I'd rather continue being a nobody instead of being a loser fanboy. This guy cries about something in every video. Just like you crying over some guy you've never met.
@@sgt.lincolnosiris4111 hahaha Im laughing my ass of, so let me understand: you called these movies terrible yet you STILL comment on them hahaha. That just shows you are a hating, no lifer, saying about a dude you never met he is a dbag. OMG man, just do smth better with your life...
Finally
Thanks bro.
I just love this car.
The presentation of it by twinky to sean was just awesome.
I love these videos. Such a blast from the past
About time been waiting a video on the Mona Lisa S15
One of my favorite cars from the franchise
Great job! You put a lot of work to get us the information on these cars! I appreciate it thanks
Hey! Thanks for providing us with all of this info! It's amazing to hear the stories you have to tell
Your content is freaking amazing !! Thank you and I’ll keep an eye out
Omg. Im in love with you channel. So happy you make these videos. I will always check out your new videos.
This is one of my top favs, that s15 has such a proper face. Tokyo drift is cool and it's Hans whip before sean destroys it
The one in southeast USA is Adam lz.
Shhh don't tell him
My buddy is the one that sold it to him😭
Really cool video, so glad to hear she is going to be restored, totally sucked seeing her in that condition. It was a pleasure owning a cool piece of that movie. Thanks again Craig.
Mona Lisa is my favourite car in the whole franchise💙🧡
Thanks for sharing this history Craig! I had no idea they all had the sr20de. Looks like Recaro Profi SPG seats.
I'd really like to enjoy reading the text on the screen without pausing every second but it changes like they shift gears in these movies.
Keep the facts coming Craig, can't get enough of them. I'll be looking to get a Spec R in 2024 when they are legal to import.
They’ll be like the R34 GTR in a couple of years 🤣. Unobtainable to most

Thank you for your valuable insights into this part of automotive history. ❤
AdamLZ owns the "unconfirmed" one that you spoke of near the end of the video. He just bought it and it's rough.
I told him too lol as soon as I seen wheels and kit that's it. If confirmed we can bet our salary he will restore it lol
@@SethHollingshead yep, you know he's got the money for it.
Another great video sir. Keep them coming!
There’s a S15 with (I think) Tennessee plates driving around GA. I took a video of it. It’s silver in color and has a three post spoiler on the back, aftermarket wheels and exhaust. One and only time I’ve ever seen one on the road.
@michael payne 100%. After looking at the video, it has Mississippi plates. He was hauling ass down 75-South. Beautiful car though. I just happened to see the headlights in my rearview and was like “holy shit, that looks like a Silvia front end”. Only after he passed did I see the taillights and RHD.
@@neil12011 I know the owner. It’s a girl actually
@@hondussy I did not expect that! It was very clean in terms of mods, great condition. Hopefully she doesn’t get pulled over.
it isnt fed legal.and wont be fed legal in the states till 2024.
s15s are not fed legal in the united states yet.
Nice work on this one Craig!
Im glad i reached out when i found that car in norway. Glad to hear its getting restored!
Thanks Craig for all of your work, watched all of the videos so far.
I knew your name even before the movies, from an old article in SuperStreet I believe, which featured one of your cars (supra?)
I cant emphasize how much I love this car.
Been looking forward to this one.
Mona Lisa is definitely a work of art one of the best cars out of the series
It's one of mine too.
Great informative video. I needed this info for one of the next models I'm going to be building on my channel. When this movie came out I bought the mustang kit and it came with all the bells and whistles from the movie. I didn't know much about the engine except that it was shown in the s15. Now I can build the 29 ford roadster model using this engine for a modern look and make it a full on drift car using the wheels and tires that also were on the mustang. Thanks again for making videos like this. I just subbed your channel for potential future research.
6:00 It must be Bjørn Nyland. It fits the description. Half Thai who works in Norway and loves import cars.
Well I also remember in Fast 4 when Brian and Dom go looking for David Park, when Brian arrives at David's apartment, there is an S15 in the shot from both in front of and behind which in the movie it was reported on David's police file that it was an Nissan 240 with an illegal mod. I wonder if that one was used from Tokyo Drift as Justin Lin also directed 4,5 and 6 from Tokyo Drift. So he could have saved one of those to use in Fast 4.
I hate to be the first to say it but no REAL DRIFT person cares that Paul Walker nor Vin Diesel were in this movie...it's all about the REAL DRIFT KING Keiichi Tsuchiya who makes a Cameo.
exactly, plus its probably the last movie about racing in general and atleast it showed a kind of racing that has driving skill instead of just tuning and yeeting it to escape cops
There's a Guy in Brazil who made a 2jz replica of it,It was an 240sx,but he converted It to an S15
hey craig thanks for all these awesome videos. only car i didnt like was sukis, the rb26 mustang and that god damn rwd evo.
You should make a trip here to Houston Texas, we have several street driving r34s and some S15s and more, a friend of mine even just got his 1 of 1 gold r32 gtr from Smokey Nagata
Ok I still didn’t watch it but this is the most important video that I ve been waiting for since 2006😍
Great content Craig!
Can you do one on hector's civic please love your vids keep up the passion for cars 🤘
Tokyo Drift probably has the best proper built cars out of the series that won't go out of style.
FINALLY!!! :D .. One of my faves in the series, always wanted to know about it!
Great video as always. I'm from galway and I've not seen or heard about that s15 being in the west of Ireland. Pity, I'd have liked to see it a shows or events. Also, the way you said galway was fu%king hilarious....
Awesome video Craig
i actually sometimes skip the s15 crash scenes in tokyo drift lol nice vid craigarino
I love the SR20 DE's higher rev limit, lovely sounding cars!
I remember seeing one of these for sale on a Facebook group in Ireland a while back. I thought it was a replica, so cool to find out it was the original movie car
great video. I'm lucky to live in Australia where you see at least one s15 every couple of days
Next Episode; VW Touran Hulk from Twinkie

Craig your alright man. I got to say my first impression of you was not all that I remember listening behind the scenes of too fast furious and you said you have to get to know all the notes on the both of these JDM cars and I was thinking Man this guy is a complete tool but now seeing you do you know your stuff checked out God bless man good stuff
That’s awesome. Did to work on these movies as well?
Lol I bet 99.999% of Craig's subscribers are OG 90's babies that grew up with the original movies
I remember when the first came out. I was a year too young to see it at the cinema!
Saw the second one and TD twice there though.
yep. Born in 93.
God I loved this car, one of my favourites in the series
There was one sitting in a field in Oregon for about 10 years. It's recently changed hands and I believe it may have been crashed by the new owner but I could be wrong about that.
I saw it at car meet in Washington. And yes , I believe the owners wife crashed it.
#55 is in Sweden, it says on the movie vin that it was turbo aswell, right now being rebuild to PRO drift car
Now we need the red evo!
You forgot one important piece of this Monalisa story. Hotwheels made die-cast of these in a similar detail.
Aren't we assuming at this point that Hot Wheels is making ALL of the cars from the movies? They've been great about doing so.
Yes. Speaking of HW check out 3DBot Maker here on YT. Great amazing fun content of die cast racing.
i am huge fan of your work Mister and Fast & Furious
The Mona Lisa was an interesting car, even if it got trashed in its only appearance.
It was pretty neat to also see an S15 make a "blink and miss" appearance in the fourth movie, though.
Could you look into Sean’s s15 at the end of Tokyo drift, love the vids 😄
You're such a cool dude Craig!
Not surprised about one being in Ireland. I actually live in Galway and have never seen it around or at a show. Lots of people have some amazing Japanese machinery that never comes out of the garage here with the climate.
Craig if you can put all the VIN numbers of the cars that was in the movie.
People will find all the cars and how they look like now & where are they :)
The intersection take over's comment was hilarious!
We finally got the video we never deserved
Can't wait for the Sean's EVO♥️♥️
Another great video, Mr. Lieberman. Hey, eventually you're going to run out of F&F cars to talk about. How about a video where you watch other movie racing scenes and give your opinions on them. (Real, fake, cool, etc).
Oh, and with some cool anecdotes, too. Of course.
Just wanted to put my two cents out there, I don't think that Fandom was saying thats how the car came from factory, but how it was presented in the film. Love your videos.
I'm a bit confused. In the movie canon, wouldn't the S15 have been RB26 powered? In real life ofc it was always SR powered but in the fictional world of Tokyo Drift, wouldn't Mona Lisa be RB26 powered?
Awesome, as per usual. Wonder what Vinwiki can conjure up....
The wide body one was build in southwest Florida by a guy named Patrick. Pretty cool to see it in the video!
I love the Mona lisa it’s goated but the Veilside Rx-7 go crazyyy 🤪🤪🤪

If I remember correctly. A guy bought one of them and molded a bodykit on it. It was featured in Import tuner mag. But I could be wrong.
adam lz now owns the florida car
Toprank Importers brought over the cars I believe. They talked quite a bit about the RB26 mustang they helped with on facebook a while back. So I think they would be the ones to hit up for more info on the S15s
Sean from Top Rank importers helped build the Mustang.
