Woodman. Loved to see this video. Great that you are having less side effects (hot flashes suck) and so happy that you are not letting cancer take over your life. Sure, its a big part of our lives, but there is so much more to life than cancer. Go out and live your life now. Rob in Phoenix.
Hi Woody,I’ve been following your journey,I too have stage 4 prostate cancer,My PSA has been rising slowly recently,At this moment it is 1.80,I’m now waiting for a referral to have a ct scan and a bone scan,Currently having hormone therapy injections every 3 months and Zolendronic acid(zameta) every month to help strengthen my bones where cancer has deposited,I walk every day and watch I eat,Been advised to consume plenty of ground flaxseed and Lycopene from tomatoes,Hope your next PSA levels have come down,Keep positive and stay strong.
I did 16 miles on a bike today. Despite being tired and in pain. We can do a lot more than we think we can. Osteoporosis is also caused by metabolic disorder. "Dad given two years to live after cancer diagnosis running ultra-marathons in Sahara and Arctic 10 years later - Ireland Live"
Good to hear from you. I am with you on the worrying- just try to not let it take over. I just take every day as it comes and enjoy it. A reta Xmas with the family coming up- can’t wait. On the night sweats - good to hear that yours are on the wane. My guy says that acupuncture can help - so will give that a go in the new year. On the exercise - I am in the position that I don’t have any pain so I really have gotten into bike riding. I was out in the storm getting blown about on the bike at the weekend. Will get to work on it today- I rarely use the car at all now. I really believe that it is doing me as much good as the pills. Have a good Xmas - and keep the videos coming it really helps to know that there are others out there in the same boat!
So great to hear that you are doing well, the bike sounds great, unfortunately for me it's out of the question my back is too unstable so I just get by doing short walks.
0:02 Hi Woody, great to hear from you again. I'm stage 4 PC as well. I've started Interval Walking. This is where you walk normally for 3 minutes, then switch to taking your longest strides and doing them as fast as you can for 3 minutes. You do these pairs 5 times, so only 30 minutes in total. Studies have shown that it is better than doing 10k steps every day. I use a free Android app called Interval Timer to keep me right for the timings. I like to listen to audiobooks from my local UK library while walking and these work perfectly alongside Interval Timer. Just an idea that might help, it certainly has for me. Keep up the good work chum.
Keep going woody you a back bone to all of us bless you
Thanks Keith

Nice one Woody. Phil
How much radiation did you have ? I’ve got 60 Gray coming up soon but the amount seems to be following a ‘recipe’ rather than specific to me
