The state of entry level jobs in India is really bad. No one wants to hire freshers, and even intern roles either want experienced candidates or want the candidate to have the knowledge of a 2-3 year experienced security Professional. Ive almost given up on finding a job in security as a fresher. And I do actually have IT experience but not of Security. Im not sure how to even break into security now. Im interested in GRC and those jobs are even more rare in India. Can you pls advice how to break into GRC with no security experience? Or can you pls make a video on how to get GRC experience without having a GRC job?

I never saw tech as stable given how much advertising went into tech schools over the last 20 years (even 13 years ago the movie, the intern, stated how hyper competitive it was just to get an internship at google.). Like too many people became tech savvy in a short time and it’s starting to show.
it is still competitive to get into google, howeverc what changed is that the tech market has grown exponentially. Demand has increases and tech is now at the core of business

Hello UnixGuy, I have a question, which you may or may not see. I have just finished a one year, college course the content of which aligned very heavily with the Cisco CCNA. I have also just been accepted into a 2 year BSc in Network Cybersecurity, which commences at the end of September. I have 2 months of free time between here and the start of my next course and I'm going to complete an industry certificate in that time. I'm considering revising for 6 weeks and then sitting the CCNA exam (I did well on my college course and received a voucher to sit that exam for free should I choose). I have seen your video with your thoughts on the relevance of the CCNA in regards to cybersecurity, my other thought was to do the Google Cybersecurity cert prior to starting the BSc in September to get some light hands on time with some SQL and Python. Ultimately I am pursuing cybersecurity as the end goal. Any thoughts on which cert to do?
it looks like the course you signed up is heavily focused on networking so you might benefit from reviewing CCNA. if you decide to do the Google cyber security search that will also be useful. I don’t think you can go wrong with either.

I'm currently pursuing a cybersecurity degree. I have 2 semesters left so I see no reason to stop, but I am curious as to what the best options are for me following graduation. Outside of labs and playing with virtual machines I have no real experience yet. As part of the curriculum for final exams, I have obtained A+, Net+, Linux+, Sec+, Project+, CySA+, AWS Cloud Practioner, and more to come in the next semester I'm assuming.
Looking for any feedback/advice that could really help.
Thank you.

Oof that title ma friend you can't scare me like this during these times😂😂❤
it was necessary so I can put an end to the nonsense :)
India is a massive market and i personally worked with a few big service providers in India - No, the market in india is fine and hundreds (if not thousands) get entry level jobs in India.

Hey, i am from India too and i want to continue my career in IT. I am currently an undergraduate in my last year. So, can we be in touch?
I never saw tech as stable given how much advertising went into tech schools over the last 20 years (even 13 years ago the movie, the intern, stated how hyper competitive it was just to get an internship at google.). Like too many people became tech savvy in a short time and it’s starting to show.
it is still competitive to get into google, howeverc what changed is that the tech market has grown exponentially.
Demand has increases and tech is now at the core of business
Thanks for the reassurance, man

Hello Unixguy I wanted to ask how much salary does a fresher gets and by how much years does it take to build good position and ?LPA in this field and how much time It can take me to get a professional position as Im 17 years old Thanks.🤗

How to get experience for a soc analyst job after graduation in bs cyber security.
everything is explained in my videos
@@UnixGuy Good point. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Hi, I've been binge watching your videos, I'm getting a master degree that focus on OT cybersecurity.
Your video is easy to understand and beginner friendly!
What is your opinion on OT Cybersecurity compared to IT? I'm still debating whether to focus on OT or IT Cybersecurity.
OT is just another skill that you can add to your arsenal. The issue is its very niche and limited in terms of opportunity, so I personally wouldn’t exclusively focus on it

@@UnixGuy Great Question Sir, There are no job opportunities here in Ethiopia, Africa. No local companies are hiring due to the economic crisis and war. Therefore, I am obligated to seek opportunities in global markets such as Europe, the UAE, Australia, or the USA. How can one gain experience in the first place?
I have continuously learned a lot from your channel, doing all the projects you suggested, such as virtual internships with Forge and Qualys vulnerability management, as well as PCI DSS, step by step all other too. Following your invaluable guidance and suggestions.

I’ll say that the people that get the industry certifications are just thinking they can land any role which obviously can’t happen as easily.
