What's interesting, is that she turns back up in the final season of AoS, and as a younger version, and now exists in this alternate world, as a second in command again.
I loved her in Agents of SHIELD!!! (And I think the PANDART variant is pulling from that? Like I think those dead people in the back are the Hydra people?)
Oh yeah, she WAS in New Avengers. That was my introduction into comics as a whole, and I do remember one of the first stories I read being this woman I didn't know bursting onto the scene. But I do think they did a good job of describing why they had a problem with her and why she was better now without me having full context. Now I like her a lot more, I should go back and read that again just to appreciate her more.
Not sure if you've mentioned this before, but it would be cool to see you talk about the upcomming Spiderman Magic the Gathering expansion once the cards are revealed
Not familiar with the character but between the color in the hair and her role in the dark avengers is almost seems like they are using Contessa in the MCU in a similar role.
"Norman Osborn, even on his best day, was a sadistic sociopath who was defined by greed, self-obsession and hatred. He was a monstrous authoritarian who only desired absolute power & couldn't care less about the people, and used the full power of the state to indulge serial killers, lock up & try to murder decent people just cause they stood against him and faked terrorist attacks to justify raging war on our allies and endangered species. And you chose him - you knew most if not all of this and you stood beside & helped him gain power every step of the way. But you're a patriot! So not only will you face no repercussions for your terror state actions and behaviors, but you're the official New Avengers liaison officer" Yeah, not Cap's, or Bendis', best moment.
it can't be unintentional how much Julia Louis-Dreyfus resembles like this character, given her role in Thunderbolts, right? (will we get a Norman reveal in that movie? 🤔)
She plays a different character: Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who in the comics was a long time agent of SHIELD, a Contessa, and was revealed to be a HYDRA mole in SHIELD.
@admanios yeah she does, but I just mean in the sense of some of Nando's old videos "___ isn't ___". just because she's Valentina in name doesn't mean she can't be an amalgamation of some other sources as well, is all I mean!
I think Abigail is more ambitious than Victoria Hand? Brand wants things to work but she's more inclined to take the reigns or pull the strings to make it work as she thinks it should. Hand also wants things to work, but is more inclined to look for someone who she thinks will make it work, and put her efforts in helping them execute it.
Sometimes the Dark Avengers are what we need. I am gonna try not to be so bleak and just hope that Trump is at least OUR bad guy and pushes us to the top. I only hope we don't get our young generation dragged into a war started during this short presidency.

She is such a great and memorable character in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Kinda sad we didn't get more of her in the Hydra era
Lesbain with big gun. My type of character.
lesbain

A young version of her shows up a little bit near the very end of Agents of Shield as well, in scenes set in the 80s, which was kind of interesting.
I love that you're going into game synergies more now rather than just the comic lore. Love this!!!
New Avengers was the first run I read from start to end, so big fan of her, glad she got in Snap as I really didn't expect her
She also kinda works with Daken, making the blade less useless if you're unable to destroy of discard it.
I loved her in Agents of SHIELD!!!

Dude Spider-man was ON SIGHT with Victoria in the New Avengers and it was kind of hilarious reading their beef.
Hey Nando, great video. Will check out the books.
Btw, what did you think of the creature commandos ending?
Agents was a good show. Can't wait to look up these comics🎉thanks
Can't wait for Moonstone, my favorite Thunderbolt and Ms. Marvel!
1:30 Tell me that's NOT Tommy Lee Jones. If only he was some 20 years younger, he'd be a perfect Norman.
Oh it absolutely and intentionally was. Norman in that Thunderbolts run was drawn as Tommy Lee Jones straight up.
Not sure if you've mentioned this before, but it would be cool to see you talk about the upcomming Spiderman Magic the Gathering expansion once the cards are revealed
What can I say? She's a cool lady. Her story had a beginning, middle, and end.
Moonstone next week WOOO

Suprised she had nothing to do with The Hand
I was rather disappointed with how quickly Hand died in AoS
Why does Norman Osborn look like Tommy Lee Jones?
I really like Victoria, but she seems so close to Abigail Brand in a lot of ways
And both of them are 00s Val Cooper.
I think Abigail is more ambitious than Victoria Hand? Brand wants things to work but she's more inclined to take the reigns or pull the strings to make it work as she thinks it should. It's disturbing how much the Dark Avengers run makes me think of the incoming Trump administration.

@Megaman54327 you don't get to the top by following Hitlers
