Hey lady. I’m a 60yr old black man who was listening to this music in my late teens. And to see u guys get excited about the music gives me chills. There’s so much out there, drive!
Im a 37 year old black woman whose mother listened to all kinds of music and I remember waking up to Ambrosia and loved every bit of this group. Biggest part of me! and Thats How Much! My favorite two songs by these guys. I love it! Keep the videos coming your awesome
Great suggestion. That and Baby Come Back by Player were the my great high school break up crying songs. Strangely, they're memories I would not give up.
@ Debra Mallinson, I can't hear that song without tearing up. I past heard it when my girlfriend told me she was leaving to make up lost time with her daughter. It saddened me. And then she got covid last year and she told me she was having second thoughts about us. And if she can recover, maybe give it another try. Sadly it took her away from me. So the song reminds me of what could have been.
My parents raised us on soft rock of the 70’s/80’s …riding around in the backseat of the car with these wonderful songs playing on the radio ….one after another 🤗 I think you would really like Jefferson Starship - Miracles✨
The late 70s had some of the best music IMO. Brings back some great memories and makes my heart happy to see younger people enjoy the music I grew up with.
Growing up during the 70’s, 80’s, were some of the best music ever produced. Nothing like what we have today. I recommend you listen to this era of music, you will appreciate it a lot
I’d say 60s, 70s and the early eighties. From R&B, to Soul, Jazz, Jazz Fusion, Soft and Hard Rock, Country, everything was popping! And I mean, everything.
He seems to be telling her that, after all these years, he still lives her deeply and regrets that their relationship couldn't work out. I hope you and yours are doing fine.
David Pack went solo. He recorded his first and only solo hit, "I Just Can't Let Go" which is a favorite of mine. Brings back such good memories for me
I’m a 56 year old brand new subscriber. What sets Lizzie apart from other reaction to video hosts is she lets the song play and doesn’t try to be too clever by half. That particular song just hits me right in the chest every time I hear it and I’ve heard it a bunch since the 70s. Now I’m going to go watch your other videos.
All of us Boomers get a kick out of watching you young people react and connect with the music of our youth. We were blessed with incredible artists and computer-free REAL MUSIC. Lizzie, you are an old soul.
I grew up listening to this song and your beautiful face with all the different expressions said it all. A boy and girl. He stays and keeps trying but in she gives him the sign by not loving him like before. Even though he left he never got over her. Your face said it all. You get it. Great reaction
Wow really brings me back to when I was a little kid in the summertime with all my family around. Man we had such great times back then, you would have definitely loved the 70s. Great song and video. Take care and be safe God bless you 🙏🤗
Ambrosia were a hellaciously talented group of musicians. Even when they were doing what seems, on the surface, to be a somewhat standard pop ballad, they bring layers of arrangements, rhythms, harmonies that raise it at least two levels above what you'd hear from lesser groups.
A beautiful, yet heartwrenching ballad. You can not only hear the sadness, but feel it too. I almost wore out my album playing this song over and over; driving one of my brothers crazy in the process... Now you are ready for "Holdin' On To Yesterday". Peace! 😇
I was a senior in high school when this came out and after my GF broke up with me then, it was like my soundtrack. Another one I KNOW you'll love is "Baby Come Back", by Player. It came out in '78 as well and also had a lot of meaning to me then. I'm so glad you like this. Peace and Love.
One thing that everyone agrees with is that good music you dont hear or listen you feel it. It is like magic, our body react to it...some few musics will be here even when we are not anymore...
You are in the music that defined our Best, good to see the hee generation listening to music when music was beautiful, real music no beats, and the voices and lyrics unforgettable.
Great song. Another one of those that I had to have the windows up in the car so my friends couldn't hear me listening to it. David Pack was the lead singer. Check out Biggest Part of ME and You're The One Woman (You and I). There first 2 albums were produced by Alan Parsons. They also played with Parsons and one of two of the guys left and joined the Alan Parson's Project.
Lizzy, that song hit heard in your feels. At the end u talkin bout all the instruments etc. But watch the video when the singer says "sometimes when I make love, I still see your face"....You gotta memory..it hit u hard by your facial expressions
All right time to slow dance that's one of the few of theirs I know good choice great reaction need to tell bear to smile more love you smile Miss Liz make my day you just a beautiful person✌🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

Ambrosia, beautiful romantic songs of yesteryear for a beautiful lady. A lot of babies came into the world with the help of these sweet songs. Families and a lot of fine memories too.
David Pack was the lead singer and also had a really nice hit as a solo artist in Summer 1986 called, "I just can't let go", which I think James Ingram and Michael McDonald sang on as well.
Lady Lizzie, with this type of true Music, this is how we would court a Lady around, these are the type of songs we would send via Radio with a message to the lady that captivated our hearts. Here in Tucson, AZ., they was once a Friday Night Radio program where we would send a message to our Love interest, & everyone would tune in... I feel so fortunate to have grown up in the musical era...
I love reaction videos, some of us have been loving these songs for years, it's incredible to see someone react when listening for the first time. I LOVED your video because unlike a lot of other reactions videos I see, you are not stopping the song 10 times and giving a 2 minute reaction each time you stop it. Hell, one dude loved a song but stopped it and starting singing another song for a minute before restarting the video! Your subtle comments and the reactions on your face are perfect. Love your vibe!
Nuthin beats 70's AM radio to this day!. All decades were amazing 50-60-70-80-90's, but 70's AM , long track rock journeys and disco made it the most unique decade of decades.
Thx, Liz! I wasn't a big fan of this style of music when it came out, but have grown to appreciate more and more (especially compared to most of the 'music' that's coming out today). Love how you appreciate music, in general, gives us a "listen through new ears". You may want to try another huge group from this era, Little River Band, they have a lot of amazing songs, suggest "Take It Easy On Me" or "Long Way There"

Hey, Im in my 60s. You are so right about living 'back then' in the 70s (80s, was ok). Different world, for the better I think. Ambrosia hit songs: "How Much I Feel"-1975; "Holdin On To Yesterday"-1978; "You're The Only Woman"- 1980.
Im 75 and the first time i heard this i was blown away! I was happily married but in the dead of night i felt this song. I loved another deeply but it just didn't work out. Lizzie, since you was checking this out. This is one of my songs back in the day so I was looking at your face and I was singing it to you. I did a good job to you. Did a good job going back evoking emotions thank you I thought you was going to sing a song and I was going to harmonize with you lol
This band was one old-time favorite of mine, having a healthy portion of beautiful harmonies. When a band comes together that way, it completes your listening pleasure.
I loved this at age 13 when it came out ...still love it now as a grandma ❤ I'm a new subscriber btw...love that you appreciate this kind of beauty in music. 🎶 😊
Dear Lizzie, this song is sheer poetry in the mid to late 70's. I am 63, a guy and I cried as I watched you get all these great poetic song verses. thank you.... Brian.

Still remember when this song first came out. Life was much less complicated in the 70's.
I totally agree.
“You’re the only woman” and “ Holding on to yesterday “ two more masterpieces from these guys!
And "Biggest Part of Me"
Another Ambrosia goody is " Holding on to yesterday " ❤️
Been plugging that one for a while now. I really hope she reacts to it.

Well the 70’s, not too sure about the 80’s. 😎
Golden Age fallacy
I’d say 60s, 70s and the early eighties. From R&B, to Soul, Jazz, Jazz Fusion, Soft and Hard Rock, Country, everything was popping! And I mean, everything.
Lizzie, the Spinners "I'll Be Around," right, right? Now thats a jam!!

@Vincent Schmitt Haha, yeah man, one of my favs of that era!
Yup. Good one. FYI Hall & Oates version is out of the park too
Unrequited love. Gets me every time 😢

Growing up in the 70's as a child I was surrounded by amazing songs like these was cool. Turntables + no social media = 🙂
Music played for years, disappeared, and now is coming back, and is still great music!
He seems to be telling her that, after all these years, he still lives her deeply and regrets that their relationship couldn't work out.
I hope you and yours are doing fine.

You just can't go wrong with this band. I'm an old metal guitarist and they've always been one of my favorites.
You should checkout the group Bread and the song Diary.. Bread and Ambrosia were the baby making music of the time.
